Shilo Inn & Suites - Tacoma - Tacoma

The hotel itself was very nice. The breakfast was very good, abcs thepool and the spa were very nice. But they failed to give us the room we paid for. We got a double queen instead of a single king. I know its not that big if a deal to most people, but it is to me and I don't appriciate not getting what I paid for.

Close to shops and food. Great location.

I will never come back to this facility

We had a great time. Kids loved the pool. Rooms were clean and the size (pillows a little flat). Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Only complaint is not enough towels in room

Great location to good food and close drive to Tacoma Dome.

Our room had been smoked in by the previous guests...they offered us to move...however we were in a hurry to go to a concert. We were on the 2nd floor so opened the windows hoping the smell would be gone when we got back (late!). The sheets even smelled of smoke!

No service glitches, clean, spacious, and well-appointed room. Good access for my dog, cheerful staff, adequate breakfast with great coffee, big, soft beds. Natural soaps and lotion, too. Unlimited, free and open WiFi. A convenient location to neighboring Puyallup, where I have business several times a year, so I will definitely be back. The best part of our stay was the very friendly girl that checked us in and the organic soap. Hot tub was open but ice cold. The pool was warmer than the hot tub. The water for the shower took about 15 minutes to get hot. There was a fist sized dent in the bathroom door and the towel rack fell off when I put my hand towel on it. The"breakfast" was completely […] shut down at 10:02 (open from 6-10) and all we wanted was a glass of juice. They did turn the key on for the juice machine but were out of orange juice. We arrived 2 hours early, thought we could maybe get our room. That was not to be; in-fact the front desk clerk didn't even check to see if the room was available. She just said sorry check in time is 3 PM, your room isn't ready. She did however offer me a lower priced room for the higher price that I paid. I have stayed here several times before but […] won't be staying here again. I'll pay the higher price for the Hampton Inn just down the block. Devamı

It was very convenient to many local places. Breakfast the usual. Hot tub and pool very nice, indoor.

Hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and well kept. Room very nice, quiet and clean. Breakfast included hard boiled eggs, freshly made waffles and fruit along with cold cereal, bagels, sweet rolls, juice, milk and coffee. They also have a huge dispenser of delicious fresh lemon ice water to drink all day/night.

Good stuff: Clean, friendly staff, coffeemaker, fridge and microwave in room. Nice bathroom products. Shops and restaurants nearby. Needs improvement: I picked this hotel for the spa facilities, the steam room stopped working after one use.

other then the noise from the highway right next to the hotel the breakfast was good the staff were professional and courteous

The room was comfortable and clean. In a very good location for where I needed to go.

I have stayed at this Shilo a number of times and have been very satisfied with the value and location of this property. Business travelers generally are looking for the basics at an affordable price. This property meets those needs. I will stay here again and will recommend this Hotel to others.

Overall a very good stay. Front desk folks were very nice along with the hospitality staff. Breakfast was also good. Make sure car is locked and all personal items not in view. Affordable price and good stay.

The gym, sauna, steam room, spa & pool are close together. So, my whole family can stay together in order to enjoy whatever we want. The swimming pool is not too small. And they are really 24-hour opened for us. Thank you - Shilo. Our whole family really enjoy the day and night stay with.

The room was cozy, clean and was close to the highway and mall. The pool and the hot tub were amazing as well. It topped off a wonderful trip. I would love to stay there again next time!

I use Shilo Inn frequently, when I come to visit my daughter at UPS. Nice place, not too fancy, but has everything you need, plus a pool and breakfast included.

This hotel was very nice easy to get to a pretty affordable

Pretty good hotel for the price. Room is comfortable and easily gotten to off the I 5 freeway. Free wi-fi and breakfast in the am too. Have stayed at this location as well as other Shilos and have never been dissapointed. Usually at, or near the top of our list when travelling out west.

The hotrel is sinple over price

Hotel room was nice and clean with up-to-date furnishings. Staff was very pleasant and the morning breakfast offerings were great.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only problem was when we had to ride the elevator with another guest who had his i-pod turneded up so high so we could hear his filthy language rap music.

It was very comfy. Very neat and clean. The only problem was that our room was next to the freeway and we could hear cars at night. But, other than that it was great!

It was very close to the freeway, but not in the best area. Other than the it is what I would expect from the Shilo Inn's

Unfriendly front desk lady, ground floor room where the window did not lock and when I called back after our departure to check on a forgotten item, no one returned the call. Plus we were told it was within 2 miles of the Tacoma Dome which it was not - $20 cab ride each way.

Typical older hotel for the price. Only issues were carpets have that musty smell, need replacement. Beds somewhat soft. Hotel could use a refurbishment. Pool, hot tub etc. were very good. Breakfast okay.

Fisrt thing we find is glasses that were wrapped in plastic but upon removing the plastic, the glasses were absolutely disgusting. The desk had spilled coffeee all over it and even sending an email to hotel management, no response. Front Desk said they would send a housekeeper to clean room, but never happened.

Right off the I5 freeway. This Shilo is clean but on the rundown side of the chain. Ive stayed in several Shilo's in OR,WA and CA, and this one isnt like any of them. The rooms do have microwave,refridge and coffee mkr in room but, the room that we were in was clean but very tired looking. This property needs to be updated to be on par with so many […] of the other Shilo Inns. It is close to many eatting places, The Tacoma Dome and about 30 min to SEA-TAC. We only stayed one night,if we needed more we would have gone to another place. Devamı

Over my professional career, I've stayed in MANY hotels. Shilo Inn in Tacoma is as average as can be. Unremarkable decor, quality of furnishings, customer service, breakfast bar, etc. It really didn't rise above competitors in any way and was a bit below with regards to the irritating HVAC system. The system was the typical, lower-end below window […] unit. Unfortunately for me, it kicked on with a bang and ran very noisily. I was prepared, though, and brought ear plugs. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for anything beyond a one night stay. And if you can easily afford another $20 or so per night, I recommend the Hampton Inn down the road a block or two. The lobby was clean and the pool was nice and clean. The elevator needs to be checked out and they need to touch up the paint in the halls and the rooms. All in all it was a good hotel for the money and I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Not very many TV channels. Bathroom small. Not enough vanity space for my wife's makeup, etc. Breakfast was adequate. More fatty foods than low fat choices. Have stayed here several times, it seems it is due for an upgrade. I lived in Tacoma for 40 years and know the area of location. It is in a better location than it's competetion. The Shilo Inn in Tacoma was a good buy for the money. Quiet, clean and staff was very friendly.
