I was only at this location for work. I felt for the price it was nice

My husband & I have two kids. One 4 and other 8. The hotel was GREAT! We loved the breakfast. My kids enjoyed the fluffy waffles.The pool was FUN and clean. The room was very nice! Was able to check - in to our room early - which was great. :) - Breakfast had plenty of food both mornings - a little crowded - but that was to be expected with it being the weekend. Great Pool - quite popular too with all the guests. Good Location close to Downtown Corpus, Whataburger Field, Lexington & Aquarium & Corpus Christi Beach - :) about a […] ten minute drive to those attractions. The only thing about the room was that there was rust on the refrigerator in the room & on the metal hinges on the toilet seat cover - other than that loved our stay - oh and the AC works amazing - kept the room nice and cold ! Definite pros and cons to this hotel. FYI- It is a hotel with outside entrances to the rooms. It's impossible to tell that from the pictures, and I didn't see anyone say that on the reviews yet. :) PROS - It's clean. It's in a decent location, nice enough area, never worried. It's about 5-10 mins from downtown Corpus and an easy drive to the aquarium […] and USS Lexington and the museums. I'd recommend making the drive to Padre for the best beaches. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was adequate(cereal, pastries, bagels, bread for toast, a waffle maker, and one day of five there were package-styled donuts). It was a very quiet hotel--only 42 rooms. The room had a flat screen tv, too. Oh, the shower was really nice! Also, we got there at noon, and they checked us in, no problem. CONS - The beds were too firm for my preference. I had shoulder and hip pain in the mornings. Maybe they're just meant for those who like to sleep on their backs and not sides. The pool was closed our first day for the palm trees to be sheared. Afterwards, the pool and hot tub were dirty until Friday(we checked in on Monday). We were in a room with two queens, big enough for 4 people, but we only had three bath towels (not a huge deal since you can just ask for more, but still). The hotel could use a little updating in the bathrooms, like a new paint job and tile work. For the money we paid, it wasn't terrible. I would actually recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a clean room and a quiet area close to Corpus Christi. Oh, and be sure you like firm beds. :) I can't honestly say I'd go back there, but I like to try new places anyway. So it's nothing on the hotel in particular that would make me not go back. days Inn portland was just what my family and I needed. The location was perfect, 20 min from port A, and 10 min from downtown courpus. lots of restaurants near by and even a walmart just across the way. staff was great,even brought a crib in for my baby girl. nice comfortable beds just the perfect place for a weekend getaway...

This is a great motel for quick getaways and overnight trips. My whole family stayed here and made the quick trip into Corpus. Portland was a fine town and had plenty of fast food and local restaurants. The motel also has a great pool and very helpful staff.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable. We had a big King size bed with LOTS of pillows and a flat screen tv mounted on the wall. It was very nice and my husband and I enjoyed the night. My husband was impressed with the shower nozzle which had different oscilating heads and he said felt very good.

The room had a very strong smell of smoke even though we had requested "One king non smoking-Advance Purchase" room. The bed spread had a number (>10) holes from cigarette burns. The room was already cool when we got there, it appeared to be clean, the TV was a new large flat screen model, and the shower head was new and very good. Nice room for the price and in a nice area. Kind of far from Corpus, but close to Port Aransas.

The Days Inn in Portland TX, has possibly the best bed I have ever slept in. So comfortable and large. High off the floor, many pillows, and very quiet room. Very clean as well. I am a light sleeper but w/ this stay, I heard NO noise, even w/ the hotel being right off the highway. Its near many restaurants, 2 grocery stores, and easy access to downtown […] Corpus, the beach, and Aransas Pass. It only took 30 min. to get to Port A. The pool looked nice as well as the hot tub, exercise room, and sauna. The only problem was they never came to clean our room but that wasn't a big deal, we were gone all day. I think we were given a lesser quality room ( it smelled bad, older tv) because we got our room at a discount from hotels.com. The rest of our party had nicer, cleaner rooms with newer tv's. We were happy with the location and ability to find it. We stayed at seven Days Inn on our vacation, and I would suggest NOT staying at any with less than a four […] star rating. Devamı

I was very pleased with Days Inn Portland. I was a little concerned that the price was so much less than the other places nearby, but it was just fine. The beds were very comfortable

Nice hotel for the price. Nice tv, comfortable bed and plenty nearby (restaurants, groc stores, Starbucks....).

The hotel clesrk at check in was wonderful. The hotel is small and therefore attention to detail is shown throughout the property. You can check in anytime after 3 asnd they wont geive your room away. They have a dry sauna, a pool, washing machine and dryers, hot and cold breakfast and will provide you with anything that you forgeot at home. Great place,great service ,even though a little outside Corpus it was worth the trip accross the bridge.We expected the "usual" hotel room,got a firm King bed,clean and neat service,Flat screen TV..We'll use them again

Hotels.com gave us the best priced hotel. Got at the hotel two hours early for check in time, the staff was very nice and found us a room. Restaurants and groceries are just nearby while some of the attractions are just a few minutes drive away. The hotel is very clean. This hotel was very clean and comfortable. I don't know if it was the hotel staff, but the air conditioner was already on when we checked in, so the room was cold. This felt so great after coming from the hot beach and a day of fishing. The pool was very clean and the water temperature was perfect. Would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was across the bay were the USS Lexington & Aquarium were. Beds were very comfortable & room was clean. Great place for a family. The pool was clean & the hot tub was nice, but didn't get a chance to use the sauna. Almost everything about this hotel was fantastic. The room was very nice. No strange smells, very clean, and the overall look was fantastic. Sure there wasn't a view and it wasn't near the beach, but the location was alright for what we were going for, so, not a big deal. The only thing I would have to complain about is the hospitality of the manager, […] who was attending the front desk when we checked in. First, we got lost when our GPS couldn't find the place. So we called the hotel, and she was so unhelpful, and sounded like she really didn't give a crap about our situation. Finally, we arrived about an hour after the appropriate check in time, and were told our room wasn't ready! No apology! Just, "Your room won't be ready for another hour or two." WHAT?! We had been on the road for 17 hours! To hear that our room wouldn't be ready for another hour or two (?!) with no apologies or alternatives or suggestions on what to do for those two hours, well, I found that to be ridiculous! Devamı

The room was fine for our needs. We only needed a place to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The only problems were a somewhat noisy air conditioner and traffic noise. The other hotels in the area would also have had the traffic noise and Days Inn had a much lower price.

The hotel was great for the price. They had a free breakfast, pool, fitness room, and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean this hotel was. The lobby and the rooms were nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, the pool was clean and the free continental breakfast was good - more than just coffee and pastry. This was a clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay. The maid service could use some improvement as they didn't clean the room twice during our 5 day stay so we had to go down and ask for towels and to have the room cleaned. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The desk clerk, housekeeping and maintenance were all very friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with our air-conditioner. Maintenance was on it almost immediately and fixed the problem. The place was quiet and clean and the pool was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. our stay was pleasant and the hotel exceeded our expectations for the price. the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was nice and the breakfast was decent. the hotel is a few miles from the public beach, conveniant to several stores and restaurants, and the neighborhood was safe.

Great room. Extra nice staff. Great location. 10 minutes to Corpus and 10 minutes to Aransas Pass. Shopping close by. Restaurants close by. Movies close by. Super comfortable beds and soft pillows. Good balanced breakfast.
