really nice hotel, great value. However, if you get the room only option without breakfast, be aware that the breakfast is over $20 per person and not worth it. There is also limited parking available and there is a charge to use the hotel lot. the propoerty is convenient to almost everything; great restaurants, shopping, the zoological park, and the […] train station. This hotel has the potential to be excellent. However a few of the staff on the desk are not that helpful and would benefit from improveing thier interpersonal skills (i.e. when tourist arrive and are not familar with the area it would only take 10 minutes to give an overview of the area, the rail network etc...) As it was we were told that our room […] would not be ready until 1500 and left to our own devices. In addition to this we were given a room with a joining door (designed for families I guess) however we hada very loud person on the other side who insisited on having heated telephone calls well into mid night...In the end the night porter got him to stop for a while...but as you know it startee again). Why not put single guest in single rooms??? (there were plenty available). As I say in the title I was not that impressed...If the owners read this I suggest they take a trip to the Scandic hotels in Helsinki where they will see what I mean by professional, friendly service. I stayed 3 nights in Hecker's Hotel Kurfürstendamm with my mum and we had a very pleasant stay. The room was very spacious and the location of the hotel was great with some lovely restaurants close by. Did also take advanges of the free internet which worked well. Great staff and wonderful location! Room did not appear to have air conditioning, so those no used to that may be disappointed. This hotel is highly recommended!

A hotel that matched its descriptions, good location, good service, clean and tidy. Very large room with a 'walk in' war robe. Very pleased with this hotel.

Great hotel, great rooms. The staff mislead us on a few things about the city of Berlin - so don't trust them to know all the details. Nonetheless they were very helpful and accommodating. The attached restaurant is nothing to brag about. Poor service, snobby waiters, very rude and upsetting.

The staff is great. The rooms are spacious for Europe and very clean. 16 Euros per person for breakfast is way to much considering you can go around the corner and have a very nice breakfast for 8 or 9 Euros. The Latin bar across the street has to be the worst place in Berlin. At 9:45 we were told they were closing at 10 so we went somewhere else and […] at Midnight we noticed they were packed. Room was huge, quiet, with large windows that opened and a great bathroom. Location is good for seeing the city, and access to S-bahn. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 5 days on a break in Berlin. Location is very good - about 100m from Uhlandstrasse U-bahn station and therefore 100m from the Ku-damm. Rooms are a bit of a mix of traditional and modern accents but everything is clean, and nothing seemed old or worn. I chose this hotel because I didn't want to spend so much at the moment, and was pleasantly […] surprised with what I got for the money. For less than the average for the area, you get a nice clean double room with comfortable bed, plasma TV, in-room WLAN and a safe that will take a (small) laptop. Note on the WLAN: it's a slightly strange system in that you have to ask Reception for the WEP key, and also a separate username and password. Remember to ask at check-in to save time. Access is good, fast, and included at least for some room types (Maybe business rooms only - I recommend checking if that's important to you) Staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel was very central to all the must see sights,also in the centre of all the shopping streets.The only fault with the hotel is that there was no air conditioning in the room & a bit noisey at night if we left the window open.. didnt have breakfast but plenty of restaurants nearby.. would recommend this hotel

Staying at Hecker's added to the pleasure of our trip to Berlin. Just steps from the Kudam, it is conveniently located to numerous fun restaurants and the street scene around Savignyplatz. Staff were very nice and helpful. The large room was light and airy and had a small kitchen hidden behind closet doors!!

The hotel was in a brilliant location in the Ku'damm right near to the centre and to accessible public transport Ubahn etc. The hotel lobby was very dark and uninviting, with concrete grey walls and dimmed lighting. The breakfast area was dull. However, the room was a huge size, with a small walk in wardrobe and a nice bathroom. The carpet could have […] been replaced by a newer version, given it is supposed to be a 4* hotel, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities which would've been nice. The beds were comfortable, but we found remants of previous guests' under our bed; a tissue and a deodorant, so wondered about the cleaning ethic. Also, our toilet leaked but was promptly fixed when we reported it. Next door was a brilliant restaurant, which is a must-eat location, everything exquisite! We spent 3 nights at Hecker's. Our room was huge, comfortable bed, alrge bathroom and was very clean. The location is good - close to train stations and of transport options to explore the city. Really nice hotel. Smart, clean and a spacious room. Great location too. Two problems though; the first, the old 'double bed actually two single beds pushed together' problem that, frankly, I'm fed up of. Secondly, and this would onlt be an issue if, as during our stay, the weather is hot, is that there was no air-conditioning in the room. The hotel staff are very helpful and the hotel is very conveniently located. However, the actual hotel room contains very basic furnishings and yet the bathroom is of a better standard. I would rate the hotel as 3 stars at most as compared with others I have stayed in Euorpe. I stayed there with my daughter and while the location is excellent, I woke up each morning with a dead arm as the bed is very hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. The hotel needs refurbishment and is quite basic.

The hotel is in a great location - a few hundred meters from the U-Bahn line and on the main shopping street. The neighbourhood did not have many bars / pubs for an evening drink but it did have a variety of restaurants in the area. You could easily walk to the shops and the Berlin Zoo - and the busses from here will take you all over the city. The […] hotel had 2 double beds pushed together - rather than one large bed. Not ideal if you wish to sleep in the middle of the bed. Housekeeping arrived at 8am - while we were still sleeping - not appropriate. (and returned at 9am) keen to maintain cleanliness - but not that early when you are on holiday. The hotel location is perfect if you want to be on Berlin's main shopping street. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The only problem I had was the large pillows, which you have to experience to understand. I would definitely stay here again.

A convienent location just off Kurfuerstendamm. Decor a bit dated as it is very much 1990's business hotel come apartment. However, rooms are large. Some surprises include the kitchen in a cupboard in the walk in wardrobe area. Another surprise, not so pleasant, is the charge for the continental breakfast. It came as a surprise as it was not explained […] that the room did not include breakfast. We were happily greeted at reception on checking in with information when breakfast was but not what the charge for the breakfast was. On checking out the surprise of paying three days breakfast left us surprised and short of euros on our last few hours in Berlin. Devamı

We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The location was close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping. Our room was very clean, and had a great updated bathroom. Ótimo hotel a meia quadra do metrô, rua de compras e restaurantes. Ficamos no 3.o andar em um quarto enorme com closet. Há diferença entre os quartos, portanto, cuidado na seleção da categoria do quarto.

This hotel is clean and has good service. Next to the Kurfüstendamm is an excellent situation. BUT the sink in the bathroom did not work (for 3 days) and the WiFi is either extremely slow or often nonexistent. The WiFi connection is very low, even in the lobby. Do not announce WiFi if you don't have it!

Bei unseren Aufenthalten in Berlin wohnen wir immer in Kudamm-Nähe. Wir gehen gern in die Theater am Kudamm und in Restaurants in der Umgebung. Dafür ist auch wieder das Hecker's Hotel sehr geeignet. Leider ist die Hotelbar sehr steril und schließt zu früh, um dort den Abend gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen.

Fint hotell uten å være kjedelig kjedehotell. Passe stort. Stort fint rom, stille gate veldig nær Kurfurstendam. Koselig område ved Savigny Platz. Anbefales!

Et flott hotell med super beliggenhet. Rommet vi fikk var stort, luftig, rent og holdt en veldig bra standard. Rolig område. Hyggelig og service-minded betjening. Vi kommer gjerne igjen !!
