"Awesome"
If you are the kind of person that is going to like spending time in Kauai then you will really enjoy staying at this hotel. If you are looking for a big fancy resort to stay at then go to Oahu or Maui. This hotel is priced really good and me and my wife loved the location. We were able to fall asleep every night to the sound of the ocean and wake up […] to the sun rising over the ocean. "Aston Kawai Beach ~ Makaiwa"
We stayed in the Mt. view room the first night then went back a few days later and stayed in the delux Ocean Front room for 3 nights. The first room was fine, but for the extra 30.00 I would rent the Ocean Front room anyday! It was so big and roomy with comfy beds and the Ocean front Balcony was so beautiful...morning sunsets and that warn fresh breeze! […] Definetly recomend it! I wish there wewre a microwave in the unit and the fan had its own operating switch in the bathroom but I will definetly return! Devamı

"Great place-good value!"
Clean, comfortable hotel located on east shore. Rooms very well appointed, modern Hawaiian look and feel. Staff was outstanding. GREAT VALUE!
"What fell short"
The problems we encountered were, 1). the movie rental was not working in the rooms. The last time we stayed there we were able to rent movies but there were "ghosts" on the screen throughout the movie. the second thing that was a bit of an annoyance was the air conditioning system. "Ocean front"
This is not the largest of resorts. Pool lounge and of course the beach is really all they have to offer. That all I personally need to have a good time. This resort is right on the beach. the walk from the pool area to the beach is about 1 to 2 mins. My room was oceanfront on the forth floor. "balanced view of the hotel"
The hotel was okay. I have definitely been to better, but it wasn't that bad. The breakfast buffet was not very good though - no omelets. Also the pool and hot tub were tiny, in addition to a very rocky beach. The room was the best part, very spacious, but other than that i felt like the hotel didn't offer much.
"Great hotel"
This hotel was in a great location along the East Coast of Kauai. No tourist destinations took more than 1.25 hours to drive to. I don't know what the other rooms are like, but our 4th floor room had really nice high ceilings and the room was very spacious. Price was reasonable except the hotel fee added up. "Could use some upgrades"
The hotel in general is ok. It could use some improvements like changing the beds. They we so uncomfortable, my back hurted. If you're looking for a hotel where you can walk to the beach and swim, this is not the place. But if you like quiet...this is the place. "Good hotel"
The hotel is clean, and the room was clean. Decor is updated unlike condos you can find in the area. Pictures posted on hotels.com is exactly what I got. Only complaint I have is that the room that I was given had a musty smell. I called the front desk and they offered a new room right away. ""Outsanding Hotel and Staff""
My family and I enjoyed our stay, they gave us an early check in and a late check out. They even gave us a great up grade which put us at a great location for the price we paid.

"Misrepresentation"
The oceanfront room sold was not in fact an oceanfront room but was an oceanview room. Deceptive advertising
"Great Location"
The hotel is great for a short stay. does not have much of a balcony, room is dark but clean and a good size. The beach area is beautiful but you can not swim there. You can walk to rent a bike and go on a great bike trail along the beach.
"Great Value/Great Service/Great Hotel!"
For an Ocean Front View along with the spaciaous room (high ceiling on 4th floor!) and friendly staff, it was great! Stayed 4 nights and we're treated very warmly! With the Luau set to open in October 2009, we're ready to go back before the year end!

"Good hotel but could use some updating"
We had 2 different rooms in this resort because the first room had a damp smell to it, but the second room was great! The hotel service was VERY good. We had to check out at noon but our flight off the island wasn't until 4 pm so the hotel offerred us a free "hospitality room" to shower in before getting on our flight. "Windward Kauai Oceanfront Heaven"
It was just the weekend I needed. Quiet, relaxed, the ocean just a few yards away from our lanai. Our stay was comfortable and very satisfactory. The room was very nicely appointed with all the normal amenities and a big soft bed. The grounds were immaculate and the staff friendly and unobtrusive. I would stay here again as I love Kauai.

"great place to stay!"
for a hotel in kuaui, this place was great! there were restaurants in the area, there is a scenic waterfall about 4 miles away and the beach was right outside my window. The facilities were very nice and clean and there are many options within the hotel itself as far as extra activities including a spa, pool, etc. We ate breakfast the next morning outside […] on a patio with an all you can eat buffet and the food was excellent! over all, i would highly recommend this hotel! "Hotel Stay"
The hotel is good for a couple of nights. It is close to the airport and centrally located on the island. Sits right on the beach and eating places and grocery store very close. We only stayed there a night but found it to our liking . The price was great and you're not likely to find a better bargain.

"Hotel needs improvement"
Hotel was okay, certainly not a 3.5 star, more like a 2 or 2.5. Pros: the "kids eat free" promotion, breakfast buffet, free parking, right on the beach, within walking distance to the Coconut MarketPlace and other areas. Cons: $12/day resort fee for what you got for it, the room smelled like mildew, the pool furniture was falling apart and lacking, […] the pool was small, main restaraunt not open all day (only during breakfast and dinner), some guests were loud and someone tried to open the door to our room from the adjoining room in the middle of the night, which was unnerving. "Unfresh Hotel rooms"
Our general impression of the Hotel was that it probably used to be of good standard, yet not was being done in order to maintain it. The hotel room seriously smelled of mould, which I had read about in some of the reviews at hotels.com and chosen to ignore (in the aftermath I wish I had paid closer attention to it). One of the receptionists was quite […] unfriendly and the room cleaning was not good. The air-conditioning was very noisy and one could not sleep without it, as keeping the windows open was not an option due to the noise from the waves and the wind (it was extremely windy in the area the entire 6 six days of our visit). Overall I cannot really recommend this Hotel and if I return to Kauai I will prefer to stay somewhere else. Devamı

オーシャンフロントの部屋に泊まりました。 最上階の4F(419号室)だったため、天井が高く開放感がありました。是非、最上階をリクエストされることをオススメします。 ご自分のPCを持っていけばインターネットも室内で使えるのでよかったです。 バスルームが若干狭かったです。 ビーチは遊泳には向いていないようですが、ビーチにはデッキチェアが置いてあり、海を見ながら読書をしたりゆっくりできました。 ホテル内のレストランは利用していませんが、お値段は比較的手頃なようでした。 また周囲にはショッピングセンターやレストランが沢山あるので、不自由しません。 サービスは可もなく不可もなく、といった所でした。 五つ星のサービスを期待する方には物足りないと思いますが、過度なサービスが必要ない方には十分だと思い […] ます。 Devamı

La posizione del hotel e' ottima, vicina a ristoranti e cafe', ma tutto il resto e' piuttosto scarso a partire dalla camera standardin cui alloggiavamo che puzzava di muffa e la moquette era impregnata di umidita'.Bagno piccolo ma letti confortevoli. La colazione e' cara con prodotti di bassa qualita' e il servizio a tavola scarso, non certo da mancia!! […] La spiaggia adiacente all'hotel non e' balneabile e la piscina piuttosto piccola e con pochi lettini a disposizione. Una nota positiva invece spetta al personale della reception, molto gentile e di grande aiuto.
