Marriott Edinburgh - Edinburgh

Hotel has pool and saunas ,Spa treatments available.Breakfast lovely lots of choice never had dinner but had snacks in lounge bar.Nice garden Area outside to sit for coffee or drinks.

We stayed in an executive room which was not expensive at all. This gave access to the executive lounge where free drinks could be consumed. All staff were very friendly and the breakfast was gorgeous. Loads to choose from. Our room was huge very clean, a lot better than originally expected and in an ideal location.

Nice clean and comfortable stay

My recent stay at the Marriott in Edinburgh was wonderful. The room was spacious and very clean and the staff were more than helpful and friendly. I have never felt more welcome and comfortable. Compare to our other stop in hotel, the Mariott was the most expensive and not the best...but it looks like prices increase when you approach edinburgh city centre so...with a 20mns bus connection for 1.3 P it was a good choice once you experienced downtown car parking fees !!! Large buffet for the breakfast, with good choice 10 P. Pretty large nb of […] chambers and probably lack of people for service, we ask for 2 tea bags for room service but no one came after 10mns....so I went down by myself to have it. Parking free. Reasonable location if you want to stay away from busy princess street. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast. The hotel is right at bus stop with cheap fare to airport and both train stations. Will stay here next visit, I loved it. Bed very comfotable.

Restuarant looked very nice but food very expensive for what it was, which basically was a posh bistro. Limited choice as well. Stayed at Hilton a week before and food much better value and quality.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and I found the overall service to be very inconsistent. The room was clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. However, our shower had a fault which made showering very inconvenient and even after reporting that fault for 4 consecutive days, it still wasn't fixed. The restaurant was good. I especially could see […] that a lot of thought has gone in the menu. However, the quality of food was very inconsistent. I thought an omelet is the easiest thing to cook and yet it was so inconsistent that I didn't know what to expect on my plate the next day. All in all, I wasn't hugely inconvenienced but I was certainly disappointed with my overall stay. I've had much better experiences in comparable hotels. Devamı

This hotel is quite near the Edinburgh airport and is also on the main line for buses into Edinburgh. They serve quite a wonderful breakfast and their concierge staff aided us in booking a concert the evening we stayed there. Our room had a king sized bed and small adjacent sitting room and was very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel last week; everything was really good. Only area that need some upgrading is the recreation facilities... pool is not that great and whirlpool bath is rubbish. Found the hotel easily. on arrival room was freezing, I complained and was presented with a portable heater! that could only be used when in the roon, took ages to heat up! went for dinner that night as nowhere else round about to eat. Not a great choice on the menu and prices were extreamly high, was not impressed by the food at all and left most of […] it! Spa was nice and enjoyed using it. Staff friendly but for a four star hotel I would expect a lot more, even the room was just ok, would expect the same from a premier inn. this is the first review I have ever writen but I was so dissapointed by my stay I felt I had to let everyone know. We stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year for my Dad's 60th birthday. The hotel is about 10 minutes away (by a frequent bus) from the city centre. The Hotel is very clean and well furnished and the Hotel staff are fantastic and very helpful. The family room are superb, we more than adequately fit in 2 adults and 2 children under 5. […] Breakfast was fantastic and had wide range of options for all the family. The only criticism would be about Management presence. We had a couple of minor issues to sort out (Hotel restaurant not open even though we had a table booked for my Dad's 60th) and whilst the staff could not have been more helpful it would have been nice if someone from the Management team had also been available to assist them. There was no direct shuttle to the airport. We asked for a taxi and requested they notify us when it arrived. We came down on the time requested and found the taxi had been there and left. They did not ring the room to say the taxi was here. Fortunately, we were able to get another taxi but it could have been touch and go. Other wise the hotel was  […] fine. Devamı

Very convenient to airport and Airlink bus stops right outside hotel. It takes about 15 mins to get to Edinburgh city centre.Nice garage/shop opposite for snacks, papers etc. The only downside was that they wanted to charge for breakfast on two mornings but we only had breakfast once. Close to the airport, very convenient bus stops right next to hotel for easy access to edinburgh city centre. Not many restaurants within walking distance so you have to use the Marriott restaurant which is fine.

Good experience overall.

This was the first time I'd stayed in this hotel when in Edinburgh as I normally prefer city centre locations. However myself, two daughters and granddaughter really enjoyed staying here enormously. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were fantastic and the room (a big family room on the executive floor) was spotless, roomy and had the most […] comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Nice Hotel, liked the health club facilities, good bus lines into the centre of town. Very comfortable room, let down by noisy air con in the room. Receptionist also forgot to mention £2.50 charge for using a Credit Card to settle the bar and restaurant bill (only noticed after I got home)

situation idéale à quelques minutes de l'aeroport,trés bon accueil, chambre d'un grand confort,parking devant l'hotel, je recommande sans hésiter!

De ansatte er meget venlige og behagelige. Alle er klar til at hjælpe. Dejligt hotel. Vi vil gerne vende tilbage.

Positiv: - Große, saubere Zimmer mit guter Einrichtung - Frühstück gut ausgestattet - Freundliche Mitarbeiter - Nah am Flughafen Negativ: - Zimmer war Nichtraucher, roch aber stark nach Rauch - Zu wenig Mitarbeiter für zu viele Gäste - Der SPA-Bereich ist ein Witz; Vollkommen ungemütlich und ich kenn Leute die haben eine größere Sauna bei sich im Keller... […] ab mehr als 3 Leuten ist die Sauna hier voll. (Fitness-Bereich sah aber ganz ordentlich aus!) - Frühstücksorganisatione ist ein totales Chaos, am 2 Tag musste ich das Frühstück auf einmal Bar bezahlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind vollkommen überfordert mit den vielen Gästen. ----- Generell ist das Hotel fern ab vom Stadt-Zentrum, für Urlauber, die die Stadt sehen wollen, relativ ungeeignet. Das weiß man aber ja vorher. Fazit: Meiner Meinung nach stimmt Preis/Leistung nicht. Ich werde dort nicht noch einmal übernachten. Devamı
