Knights Inn Aiken - Aiken

The people at the front desk were as nice as any I have ever encountered but they were hard to understand with their lack of command of the English language. I knew the price of motels would be increased due to the Masters Golf Tournament so my cost was acceptable I thought. I searched on the internet for the best price. I was thinking I had a good […] deal with your motel, but I was not prepared for what I found. After we arrived It started to rain and the gutters did not control the rain on either the front or back of the motel making the motel entry more difficult. Evidently the motel has not been renovated in some time. The backs of two of the three chairs were broken, poor reception on half of the TV channels, the lights and the radio between the two beds were unplugged and the commode was not fastened to the floor. This was without exception the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in.I've traveled in 3rd world countries & they were better. I believe aside from the Masters week it's an hourly rent. The bathroom/shower was the worst I've ever been in. The owner's/Managers very inhosipital-never said anything except when asked for a restuarant recommendation said -check […] the procedure which were 20 miles away. Location is central to town with nearby shopping. The room was comfortable but a large dark stain in the rug was a major detraction. I would stay there again.

The hotel could use some refurbishing. Although clean, there were things about the hotel that were older, e.g.; the carpet and tile in the bathroom. In addition, the breakfast selection was limited to juice, coffee, mini-donuts, cereal (3) and waffles.

I was a little worry after reading the last review, so I called to verify about the pool and breakfast. Everything turned out great. We had 2 rooms, it had fridge and microwave and TV was perfect. The hotel staff did the best they could to upkeep this old hotel. It is one of those that I would stay one night if I had to, but not relaxing environment for more than that. I personnally would not stay there again, but it is conveniently located and the room is the best it could be.

The look of this hotel on the web-site is very deceiving. This place is a DUMP. DO NOT STAY HERE! I don't think this place has been vacuumed or painted in years. Yes they come and change towels, and mop up the bathroom. But nothing else. There was about 1/4 inch of dust on the night stand. They installed a new toilet at one point in the room we had […] and cut a hole in the bathroom door to allow the door to close. I couldn't change the shower head off the 'massage' setting since it was rusted into place probably for the last 5 years. Worst hotel ever stayed in. Rip off prices due to Masters. Place should be shut down!!!

I liked the fact that the traffic into the masters tournament was not bad if you came from this hotel in Aiken. My problems with the hotel room: 1. Key problems 2. Tub dirty 3. TV all channels missing one of the colors (everything was red.)

This property is older and located in a mostly abandon area of Akien. However, it is hardly five miles from downtown. There is a grocery store and a few fast food restaurants nearby. The room was clean but drab and dark. The room did include a small fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and small coffee maker. I was disappointed in that […] there wasn’t any travel sizes of shampoo, hair conditioner or lotion, thought that was a given. There was soap. The pool was not open but looked maintained. My first indication of the property was an empty box of condoms in the parking lot and a dead roach at the doorway of our room. Had I arrived before my cancellation time I would have defiantly looked elsewhere for other lodgings. The room was not quiet; I could hear traffic from nearby hwy 78. Also, I’m guessing that this may be a meeting place possible for the locals as I heard voices outside late into the night. I will add however that my stay was on Memorial Day and I arrived at 8:30 in the evening. The rate of the room was a great indicator of what can be expected. Which brings to mind the old adage” You get what you pay for.” I am willing to pay more in the future. I did not feel safe there. OK PLACE FOR SOME ONE WHO JUST NEEDS TO CRASH NO FRILLS BASIC ROOM CLEAN. IT HAS HAD A FACE LIFT PROPERTY IS PROBABLY 30 YEARS OLD

Room was clean and normal for the price paid. Great for horse showers that only need a place to sleep and shower!

Good room for the cost, staying in town for business, it served my needs. Not the best but for sure not the worst. Near most everything you need.

Price was very reasonable so you can't expect much. Beds were comfortable. Staff very helpful. Not somewhere for a vacation , but if you just need a clean place to sleep for a night or two, it fits the bill.
