Seabonay Beach Resort - Hillsboro Beach

The stay was wonderful. The rooms were very clean. I had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen. Very nice! Location terrific.

This hotel was just perfect for our needs. It was directly on the beach and our pet Yorkie was allowed on the beach and in the hotel. It was a five-minute drive to Deerfield Beach and close to all interstates. The staff was most helpful. We were very pleased with our stay and plan to stay here every time we return to the Deerfield Beach area.

Love it, small ,cozy and quiet..I will recommend it for couples, romantic getaways and to relax!!!..staff was very heplfully specially Antony from frontdesk who make a big effort to acomodate us ...my son lost his wallet and didnt recover it but they was very concern and helpfully with the issue...I travel every month for business to broward county...and […] this is so far my favorite for been trendy, chic and they are remodeling and you can see they effort to make it a better hotel..trust me you dont see that often...in south florida..excellent value for the money..I will be back soon.. Very clean and friendly staff. Rooms vrey small and sparcely furnished. There was no room service. Air conditioner did not function properly. Nice pool and location right on the beach

What was pictured & discribled on the site is not what we got! We expected an Ocenview 1 bedroom suit. But we got two separet rooms with two diffrent keys. The rooms were next to each other, one room had a side 1/8 Ocean view and the other room with no view at all. Very small rooms & outdated. Filthy bedcovers. Be aware, its not what they picture!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Seabonay, rooms were very large and beds very comfortable, the pull out sofa and murphy bed set up accomodated my family perfectly. The location is perfect, beautiful beach, quiet area surrounded by upscale properties made it great for walking or running on the beach. Hotel staff was wonderful, so friendly and accomodating. […] It rained quite hard a couple of the days so the outdoor hallways and stairs were a bit slippery. After reading reviews about this hotel I was not sure what to expect, but the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location right on the beach was great. The rooms could be updated, but I knew when I made the reservation that I wasn't getting a luxury room. Great vacation if you want to get away from it all. Friendly staff, and friendly guests. The facilities are tired and dated, but improvements are being made slowly. That being said, everything was clean and neat. Nothing fancy...but who needs fancy when you have a clean, quiet beach...would recommend to all to go and relax.

Hotel is In a great location right on a gorgeous beach. Staff was friendly. Lots of shopping and dining near by. However, the hotel is a little tired. This was a very large suite for the price and could accomodate at least 6. The rooms were pretty clean other than the windows., one of which we could barely see out of. Furniture seems a little outdated […] and worn. Appliances, which we didn't need to use, were old and rusting. Not a place I would want to stay for an extended time and would not go there again. Great view of the ocean. Staff was very friendly and helpful on Saturday, but I can't say the same for Sunday. Skip the breakfast it's not worth. They should go stay at a Holiday Express to see how they run their breakfast.

I was placed in an inside room overlooking the rooftop in the alleyway. If you can handle the bad view, holes in the walls, broken molding, dirty shower curtain, the noise from your neighbor, and cheap towels, this place is for you. Bless their hearts, they try. No blow dryer in the room but you can "check it out at the front desk!" They did offer a […] winetasting downstairs and breakfast (but it started too late for me to participate). When we arrived we requested an upgrade which we got with the normal cost increase. Only draw back was we were given a room that was not fully cleaned. I did some of it myself and then asked the maids to clean more if it the next day. This hotel was very nice for its age. Every thing was very good. The only complaint I would have is there was a little mold on the ceiling of the bathroom.

For the price, it's absolutely worth it if you aren't big on the frills of the higher-rated hotels. There's no exercise room, hot tub, etc., and that's probably the difference. The room was clean, and the ocean-front room on the top floor was perfect for a nice, low-frills, location on the Florida coast. It's not a 4-star hotel, and it doesn't try […] to be. I chose this hotel because of the location and having a kitchen. I have not one bad thing to say. I traveled from PA to FL for a funeral. The suite was perfect. My husband and I and my sister and her 3 little girls fit so comfortably in this suite I would recommend it to anyone with a family looking for a great hotel on the beach. Booked as last minute room online. Room was pretty spacious with kitchen n amenities. Def older bldg and in need of updates. But overall was ok. Complimentary bkfast included. a pleasant low-profile hotel/ motel, obviously in the midst of being updated ( sorely needed). Very nice staff - happy to help and always ready to make adjustments. the best part - right on the beach and pets allowed!

If you want a relaxed place away from hustle of SOBE then this place is it. Nice quite area but still close to many good restaurants :) Great location, beautiful beach and pool, and the suites are incredible! Just wish they would spend a little more time on maintenance on this hotel, nothing major, just little items I noticed. i.e. light bulbs out, […] stuff needing painting... The building has been painted, but windows doors, metal trim is badly rusted and in need of repairs. The furniture was ok, but very outdated. The desk people were frinedly and courteous. The free " continental breakfast" was terrible. The person in charge had no idea of how to make coffee, or even operate the coffee maker. There were dried slices of […] bread, cheese and lunch meat sitting out, uncovered and very unappetizing. The do-it-yourself waffle maker is a nice idea, but people were having trouble with those, as well. We drank a glass of juice and went to Panera. it's on the beach, that's where I want to be. it's an old building but they've taken well care of it. most rooms do not face the beach so don't expect a view. tv needs to be upgraded as it took 5 minutes for the tube to warm up and display in color but you didn't go there to watch tv, did you? the complimentary breakfast can use a few more items. fresh […] fruit as long as it's an orange, muffin as long as its blueberry, etc. Devamı

The price was very reasonable and the location nice. The room was spacious and had a small kitchenette, a bedroom and a living room. It was clean. However , the hotel has a dated feel. Couldn't beat it for the price. Oceanfront king with a kitchen! The hotel was older and was slightly dated but served the purpose of a comfortable place to sleep and relax after a day on the practically private beach! I would have to say if I had one complaint it would be that there were several maintainance issues. (new curtain rods but old holes not […] repaired, windows needing replacement or repair). Also, would be nice to have some rugs to keep sand from getting in bed. We really enjoyed sight seeing in the very affluent neiborhood, nearby. Christmas lights were up and it was quite a display. First of all the oceanview was beautiful, but first before I checked in, asked to see the room which was a one bedroom suite-Oceanview...I was not really satisfied, it was small and cluttered with out dated furniture, refrigerator that had shelves missing, the pots and pans had the paint coming out of the bottom along with burnt crust along the side […] and bottom of pans as well, couldn't hardly see the oceanview due to alot of smudges on the inside of un-clean window of view, tvs were all old with 3 or 4 stations only, no espn for my friend to watch sports who came all the way from Washington Dc. There were no iron, hairdryer, or liquid detergent for dishes. The bed was okay, have slept in better,the closet door was just ganging off, bathroom was okay, better than all the rest... I told the front desk I wasn't happy, then was gvn an alt ocean view which was basically the same, the kitchen so small you can hurt yourself on something trying to turn around in it, there was a place for a counter which was unfinished. I will never stay there again, we ended up checking out a day early and went to (Townplace suites) by Marriotts, in Boca Raton..There I was so completely satisfied, with everything I needed in a one bedroom suite which I give five *****s....Imaculent,service through out was excellent. It wasn't an oceanview but the best part about it, besides having to drive a few miles to the ocean....Its a warm feeling of hospitality, comfort and a place thats more than a hotel, it feels like home.... We visited Seabonay in low season, reserved the budget no-frills room, figuring an upgrade was a possibility upon arrival. It was a sleepy mid-afternoon, so I was allowed ample time to review all three room-types. The basic is a closet; a glorified Motel 6 room with a view facing the neighboring building’s backsides, no-frills. The partial-view room […] is a peek-a-boo beach view between buildings with a dated & dirty studio sitting area & kitchenette - no soap dirty utensils and ware. The full-ocean view is as promised and has the studio features, but only a hand-full have the balcony to sit facing the beach. Usually there was someone within annoyance distance, either smoking or conversing, loud-kids etc. not really secluded from cross-hotel traffic for that matter with the neighboring buildings were VERY close and their customers were partying. The first two room-types suffered from similar problem of poor plumbing: running sinks/toilets with decaying fixtures and drains. ALL rooms were lax on housekeeping - if you enjoy shuffling around with sandy feet on coarse ceramic floors, this is the place for you! No vacuums or wet mopping? I think the hotel owners are too cheap to spring for the proper upkeep or equipment, rendering smelly towels and a crummy elevator. Avoid, you find better. Devamı

My recent stay at the Seabonay was a pleasant surprise. I chose it because the description explained that it was an oceanfront property. Some of the other hotels.com reviews stated it was like having the beach to yourself this time of year, which was just what I was looking for. I made the reservation at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised […] with the outcome. The hotel may not have all the amenities of a newer hotel, but the price was right, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean. The beachfront location was beautiful and quiet. I don't think I saw more than 20 people on the beach at any time. If you're looking for a quiet, decent place to work on your tan without a lot of crowds and fancy bells and whistles, this is the place for you. Devamı

Cozy little hotel a little north of the Hillsboro inlet bridge. The only hotel in the immediate area, it's very quiet. We had the beach to ourselves!

This hotel is a dump, the view is great, but not worth the stay. Office hours are only 9:00 am to 9:00 pm so if you need any thing you have to get it during open hours. On loction managers were no help. We got locked out of our room at 11:30 at night trying to find the laundry, the phone on the wall for emergencies did not work, and they would not answer […] the door. It took over a hour to get back in our room, I thought we would be sleeping on the beach. Don't stay here, find something better. Devamı

The hotel was nice for the price. The beach access was wonderful, with hardly anybody on the beach at that location. The tile floors in the room were a little gritty, I would recommend a small rug to wipe your feet when you enter the room. (we used a hand towel) The exterior door and the door to the adjoining room didn't block any noise on the other […] side. You take the chance of people being considerate and talking quietly. Occasionally we had some noisy people on the other side of the doors during the night. Also, with the tile floors, when somebody upstairs moved a chair, the scraping noise was magnified. It was very pleasant, it was very basic but it was clean and everything worked also, it was right on the beach which was what i wanted. the only complain was the bed too soft but i still had a good nite sleep. The people there were very nice, I will go back to it.

The Seabonay location is right on a beautiful uncrowded beach and a good value. Our only real complaint is that the textured tile floors are among the dirtiest we've ever encountered. You literally need to rinse your feet in the tub every time you walk past the bathroom.

The Seabonay was just what we needed in the location we wanted. It definately needs the attention of a detail person because there were plenty of details missed - baseboard missing in the kitchen, lamps unplugged, coffee maker and coffee but no filters (and no store within a couple miles), no storage or flat surface in bathroom, etc. HOWEVER, for what […] we paid and the location right on the beach in a quiet section of Hillsboro Mile, and the pleasant and friendly staff, we would return. Quaint, a bit funky, clearly seen some hard times but a decent and relaxing place to stay. Don't expect a cookie cutter, beach hotel experience. If you want to stay right on a beautiful quiet beach without breaking your budget this is the place. It lacks the ammenities of a newer resort such as fitness centers, bars resaurants and the like but it is clean and comfortable and a great value.

Definatly will return. Priced right. Friendly helpful staff. wonderful beach. maybe update the wicker furniture in the expensive suites. other that that 10 on 10.

Hotel is steps away from a private beach and only about 2 miles from the Deerfield Beach Pier and all the restaurants and bars, grocery store and pharmacies are also about 2 - 21/2 miles away. You could literally walk to those places instead of driving - I did and enjoyed it! ;) I stayed at the Seabonay for 5 nights in a junior suite. Pretty big room, […] and loved the view of the ocean that I had when sitting in the kitchen to eat. Hotel looks like it was remodeled recently but it is still a little rough around the edges. (paint splattered on windows, curtains that looked like were cut shorter with scissors by a 10 year old kid, windows did not open - stuck because of paint I guess, stained towels that smelled pretty strong like clhorine, and super thin and not soft at all sheets on the bed) Those were all minor things to me though..Hotels sheets and towels kinda gross me out so since this time I was gonna stay for a while I took my own bedding and towels with me - and am glad I did. They have housekeeping and they ask upon check in if you would like to have housekeeping services every day, and I chose not to use them so I can't comment on that. Parking is free and so were chairs to use on the beach. They have pool towels that you can get from the front desk but you have to leave a $10 cash deposit to be able to use one and get the money back when you return it to the front desk. Overall I had an AMAZING time at the Seabonay and would recommend it to anynone looking for a somewhat cheap place to stay that could not be located at a better spot. I was sad to leave and will definitely go back again sometime. Maybe next time they will even have better sheets and towels! ;) Devamı
