Helpful desk person, on busy street but still able to sleep in as room was nice and dark. Not the most comfortable bed.

This was probably our 5th stay and it was very nice as always. The owner is friendly and helpful and we enjoy his company. Room is clean and comfortable with everything we need.

I was not there most of the time but it was a good place to stay after a long day. Adequate breakfast. Front desk was helpful and gave us a discount coupon for a local, famous restaurant. Clean comfortable room.

Stay was okay, the carpets were damp when we arrived, so not sure if it was due to a recent carpet cleaning or if it was because the heat was turned off when no one was in the room. In addition we ended up being kept up for quite a while as we had to endure listening to the next door neighbours enjoying their night in an intimate manner- paper thin […] doors if by chance you end up in a room with connecting doors like we did. The staff were courteous and helpful. I left some clothes in the room and they were honest to contact me about my personal items. I thought that was kind and sweet. The area and location was safe. Room was clean and the quality of the place for the price of stay was more than reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was very satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again if I have the opportunity. The continental breakfast was very good. Dave and the rest of the staff were always ready to help with all our needs. The microwave and frig came in handy. A free daily newspaper was very nice. The assistant was taking a snap with TV on loud. It took me quite a while to wake him up by knocking at a door. Inside the room you can hear the traffic sound even if you keep the door and windows shut. The breakfast is among the simplest from all my previous trips. The beds are comfort

Easy to find, but right on the highway going through Eureka. However, the noise wasn't bothersome at all at night. Liked the fact that there were 2 chairs to sit in so one of us didn't have to sit on the bed. Towels need to be upgraded--very thin.

The hotel itself was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a couch, rather than just a chair. Price was reasonable. The one downside was the amount of noise. The hotel is on a major thoroughfare, and the traffic noise was really bad. If you are a light sleeper, the traffic will keep you up all night.

We stay in the Arcata/Eureka area often and this was surprisingly nice. The manager onsite obviously cares a lot about the property.

The Inn had no vacancy when we arrived (a good sign), and the manager was straightforward and no-nonsense. He told us where to grab a drink, and made the check in and check out process quick and easy.

Hotel was in a good location if you are driving through the coast of California. Hotel was VERY noisy though and did not appreciate the rude customer service of the older man working the front desk. Too much highway traffic. Noise from large truck passing by all night. The manager was kind of rude. Ask a question about what to see for local sights. Say's there all the books to look at . Not really talkative. Would stay someplace else next time. Hard beds.

The staff is great, the place is great and the trees, the trees, the trees...priceless! The only drawback is no pool or hot tub but would stay there again for the price and quality of the facility and staff.

It wasn't the worst and was far from the best. The rooms were clean, but the mattresses and chairs had seen better days. If all you need is a place to crash it would be okay.

Stayed the night. All was GOOD except that the Motel is tricky to get to if you're headed north; otherwise it's highway friendly. The neighborhood seems a bit edgy, but not inducing fear. Dave at the desk was friendly and informative - he recommended the Somoan Cookhouse, a local mainstay for dinner. Clean & comfy.

The main thing I can say is bring earplugs!! This is on Highway 101 into Eureka right on an intersection. The noise never stops!! Foam earplugs made it possible to sleep. This was the last room available for Humboldt U graduation so I didn't have a choice. I paid way too much for this room and location. Consider the location before booking. Will be staying here again, it's a good deal for the money (reasonable). Lot of traffic noise but goes away after 10:30-11:00 PM.At least they have a adequate cont--breakfast and coffee is OK. Need to put some decaf out in the rooms. Very small pillows, need at least four if you want to set up in bed. I see lots of opportunity for improvements at this […] facility but they are under staffed and it shows,, dirty windows (inside and out), grounds needs more attention and more but we'll same that for another time. Overall not a bed experience. Was allowed to checkin at 10am (V. Rare) as the room was ready and we were there very early after a long drive from So. Cal. Room was ok, clean and fairly comfortable. Temp setting was very low so we froze until it warmed up, then maid reset it following moriing. The one negative was the 'Free Breakfast'. You get what you […] pay for if you get my meaning.
