"What wifi?"
They stated free wifi which was 1 of the reasons I booked but I had more problems staying connected.

"This was a nightmare NEVER AGAIN"
My husband and 2 children booked a room here and tried to check in at 845pm. The computers were down and the guy working was new. He couldn't get us in and after 4 calls to his manager someone came in to help. No "gee I'm sorry" or anything. Just rude people. We waited almost 2 hours for a room. The hot water wasn't working. The AC was not fitted properly […] so cold air just blew in all night. There was no remote for the TV. We told them politely about each and every problem and nothing was done. I wrote out a card upon our departure and waited a week for a response. Still nothing. Never again.... Devamı

"It's OK"
Nothing to brag about! I called in to see if I could change my room conditions to Handicap, my sister is handicap. Guess the Handicap rooms do not come with two Queen beds. When we got there I called for a handicap toilet seat, the toilets are very low fine for me but not my sister. I didn't receive a call back. I called again late in the am but was […] told maintenance wasn't open. The room was clean, had tears in the sheets but they looked clean. I will definitely try another hotel next time we greet my Nephew on his return home from Afganistan. Devamı
"Comfort inn suites camp Pendleton"
Overall this hotel is great if your looking for an enexpensive local place to stay. I payed a small amount for a huge room with couch( that I didnt want to sit on looked dirty), but had two tables a tv, balcony, huge clean king bed, refrigerator microwave and wardrobe. The room wasn't perfect I noticed some wood damage in bathroom and the couch looking […] dirty but for 79$ it could've been a whole lot worse. The king bed was great. Overall comfortable. Convenient if you're going to Camp Pendleton or surfing at Trestles, but otherwise, extremely disappointing. Did not look like the pictures online at all. Decor of rooms was from about 1982.

"Good service"
It was really nice to stay , break fast is good and sevice also good.

I would have given less than a star but there wasn't the option. Wendell needs to be retrained in customer service. He asked me for my license plate # which I had to go look at, in the mean time I asked him if he was done w my ID and CC and he wasnt so I said I'd get the plate # when he was done w my ID. He started a 5 minute lecture on how it was for […] my safety. Yes, wendell, this isn't the first hotel I've stayed at in my 44 years. And I wasn't about to leave my cc w him. So I grabbed my I'd and cc headed back out to my car, grabbed the plate # expecting to finish checking in....and Wendell proceeds to ignore me and check in two more people without even acknowledging me. Really? So upon checkout Wendell proceeds to preach religion to me and I told him he should really shut up about the lord as he called it especially In a below star rated hotel where he's probably checking in hookers and drug addicts. The room stunk, the bed was uncomfortable and in the morning, there were 2 very ripe homeless men eating their free disgusting breakfast. If you are desperate for a place, I still wouldn't recommend this comfort suites. Unless you need to get your soul in order! Devamı
"Comfort Suites in San Clemente"
A "suite" in name only. Comfortable and clean, but decidedly unspectacular. The staff was very attentive and nice, plenty of free parking. Very close to the USMC base in Camp Pendleton, and two San Onofre beach. Front of the hotel gets a lot of freeway noise. Choose the back for the quiet. Morning free breakfast was hit and miss, good one day, not […] so good the next. Good value for the money, but if you are used to a higher quality, Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Holiday Inn Express, etc., you will probably not like it too much. Devamı
"Austin was great"
The host at the front desk, Austin, a chipper asian young man, obviously cares about customer service and our stay. He was positive, helpful, attentive, and accomodating. For an inexpensive stay by the beach, this was by far the best greeting/attitude we have experinenced by a hotel host. He deserves a raise. And Austin, you should be a manager at a […] 5 star hotel. check in takes for ever because there is only one person at the front. Breakfast was the nastiest...eggs from th microwave.. come on... just dont serve the eggs for everyones health sake. coffee bad in room was ripped so that means the people before us thought about having it but didnt afterall but that couldve have been checked when the room was cleaned. […] to close to the streets so it is noisy. Was not notify about $50 charge im still waiting for it to clear because when i called back the hotel totally thought i was blaming them when all i asked was: is there a deposit for safety or whatever he told me i will let you know we do not show any transactions whats so ever with you mam....ewwww. i wanted to go back and tell him off.. Old out of date everything, sofa bed was paper thin. Stained furniture and carpet. We left and found a better place. you get what you pay for.

"Comfort Suites San Clemente"
Room had a funny odor, light bulbs out on night stand lamps, doors fit poorly so voices from the hall are like being right in your room--especially in the middle of the night. For the money, not worth it. Personnel took forever to check me in--took two people, I nearly left at that point.
"The Comfort Inn in San Clemente"
It was very close to everything. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. However, the bed was not comfortable at all. It was hard as a rock. They could improve on the bed but other than that it was a very nice stay.

Very uncomfortable beds, no list of TV stations available, the staffs kids are running around the breakfast area.
"Grounds Monitoring"
The pool area had a sign posted that there is NO alchohol allowed. Both in the afternon on Wed. and in the evening on Thurs. there were adults w children in the pool & jacuzzi area drinking alchohol and smoking cigars and cigarretes etc. No hotel staff around monitoring or at least checking once! The table and surrounding Jacuzzi full of empty cans. […] Thhey were having adult party time and took over the area. I could not go in because it was uncomfortable. Also the men offered and gave beer to two young girls that were minors! I will not return here. Devamı
The housekeeping staff that I interacted with were kind, and quick to serve. The front desk staff was a different story. They were short and spoke way too loud considering there was only a counter separating us. Also, the front desk staff wasn't afraid to yell across the room to ask the housekeeping staff if my room was ready. He could have easily said […] excuse me, walked the 6 steps to the staff and asked quietly. I felt that I was put on the spot for wanting to check in. It was embarrassing and unprofessional. Devamı

"Not a nice hotel"
The photos online do not accurately represent our hotel room. Only some of the rooms have been renovated- ours was not. The room was not the worst I've seen, but for the price and location we were expecting much better.
"comfort inn san clemente"
Wouldn't let us check in only 40 mins before check in time and was rude about it. Only one towel in room and when we asked for another wendall at front desk asked how many we had which shouldn't matter. Maid did bring more towels later. Overall not the best service.
Internet was very slow. Nice rooms very spacious.
I would not recommend anyone stay at this location

The room, while clean smelled like Pine-Sol or some type of disinfectant. We had to sleep with the door open (balcony to parking lot view) while it rained all night due to her complaining the room smelled like a public restroom. The hotel is off the beaten path in an industrial area of San Clemente and while Google maps said it was 1.5miles from the […] turnoff, it was much further, and as i said, in an industrial area. The hotel was inconvenient to most everything. It was spring break and there was lots of yelling and doors slamming with very little intervention from the staff until 2AM. "Servicable at Best - but it is in San Clemente"
The Hotel seemed to be undergoing some remodeling at the time of our stay. We were okay with that, but disinterested attitude of staff was off-putting. Entrance to hotel itself is not well-marked. Room was sorely in need of up-datng and for the cost savings we were even okay with that. The bed itself was very comfortable. Hooray! However, the cleaning […] of the sink was questionable - there was black gunk behind the faucets and the color was going out on the TV. It was quiet, but I don't think there were a lot of other people in on that Monday night. "Great Location"
This hotel is so close to everything you want in a relaxing beach vacation. Minutes from the quaint downtown area and the beach. Shopping, dining and surfing all very close by, but still far enough away to not be a nuisance. Great location and easy to find.

We needed a hotel near where our friends were living at so we choose the comfort suites. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The condition of the hotel was not excellant but was good. It's not located at the heart of down town but they had a local bar that was excellant and a grocery store nearby. The drive to town was about 5 minutes. The […] price was the cheapest at the time of booking. It was really a good value. The only complaint was the small dining room. They offer complimentary breakfast which was very good but it was hard to find seating and I end up eating standing up. Devamı

"Felt like I was in a Nursing Home"
It was the feel of the room. It felt like I had checked into a nursing home with the look of the bed and room divider, to the sink that was in its own little cupboard area and the lack of a closet (an armoir was in the room). The front desk staff on two occassions took a full 3 minutes to help me, even though I was the only one there. They were too […] busy typing on the computer to look up. Also, I asked for one of their complimentary items and, after looking briefly in their storage area, they said that it had been ordered but not arrived. If that had truly happened, they probably would have known that going back there. The only redeeming quality of the whole place was they had a weight machine in their workout room. Not a great experience and I will not stay there again. The nursing home feeling just made me uncomfortable. I travel extensively and this is one of the worst places I have stayed. Devamı

In a nutshell: The furniture (including bathroom fixtures) looked like they were purchased at a Salvation Army Thrift Store. The towels were dingy and grey. The floors were so dirty, the bottoms of our feet got black. But worst of all, the air conditioner didn’t work – (summer time)! The breakfast buffet was your typical Danish, coffee and juice plus […] a waffle iron. There were only 3 (small) round tables to accommodate the entire hotel. (We wound up going to Carl’s Jr. just up the street.) The following day the desk clerk did his best to move us to a room with a working air conditioner. All of the above applied to our “new” room with the addition of gnats concentrated in and around the window and interior lights. Bottom line: avoid this hotel! My in-laws stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, also in San Clemente, and absolutely loved their hotel. Unlike me, they made their reservations a couple of months in advance at a much better rate.
