Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza - Los Angeles

I have stayed at The Omni in San Diego and it is far superior to this LA location. I'll break it down for you in a list of pro's and con's. Pros's: Quiet Clean complimenatry apps, cocktails and breakfast on the Club Level. Well located for downtown good views Con's No vanity in any room. If someone is getting ready in the bathroom there is no place […] to get ready outside of the bathroom. No mirrors. The pool was closed and had no water in it No hot tub No pool bar I masseuse in the spa but no spa ammenities like steam, sauna, showers. The room was 280 square feet not 400 + as advertised for club level. Parking is $40 during the week and $20 on the weekends. shower knobs were on backwards. Car service was very inconvienent. We were dropped off 3 blocks from our location and had to wait a half hour to be picked up. Hands down the best hotel in downtown LA is the Ritz- J/W Marriot at LA Live. The Standard is also awesome for the younger crowd. Devamı

My husband and I had to go to L.A. for a couple of days and chose to stay at the Omni Hotel for the first time. The staff was very friendly and courteous, the bar/restaurant were gorgeous (beautiful courtyard off the bar), the bed was comfortable, and we were pleased that the room had a large flat-panel TV with a good picture. At least at the special rate we were able to get, this hotel was great value for money. Our surprisingly spacious corner room overlooked the Museum of Contemporary Art, and we were within a very short walk of the Disney/Dorothy Chandler/Mark Taper complex; a few very good restaurants; and historic downtown. I got lost when I got to LA. The gentleman at the lost and prevention department at the hotel stayed on the phone with the entire time till I got to the hotel. I really appreciated his help. Thank you sir:).

Stayed here many times, and it is a very nice hotel in a great location. But as always, if you have to order from room service, prepare for it to be messed up. Has happened three times in three years. This year, it was only 90 minutes to get it...two calls in which the reaction was a panicked "oh...right!".

Lovely room....really enjoyed "Angel Flight" from the subway to the hotel!

When I was staying at the Omni, I broke my foot while at a restaurant outside the hotel. When I arrived back at the hotel with crutches, the bellmen were wonderful, and pulled out a wheelchair that they have available for guests. They let me keep the wheelchair until I checked out the next day, with no charge. Also, the car service was wonderful. excellent concierge!!!

Very nice, clean, modern hotel in downtown area. Subway (red line) short walk and hotel courtesy car good if you can get it (heavily booked at times). Very attentive and helpful staff who make you feel most welcome. We wanted to be close to Staples centre, this is not as close as we would have liked but the hotel assisted where they could with pick […] up and drop off! Devamı

I stayed here for 3 nights on business in downtown LA. Great hotel to stay at. Good location, very clean and well kept, plus the staff was phenomenal. I would definitely stay there again. The rooms were large and clean with good light and good workspace. Convenient access to breakfast in the Cafe and dinner at Noe.

Classically understated hotel with every luxury amenity you could want. Room was very comfortable with high beds and a subtle decor. looking forward to going back to try out the spa. There are PLENTY of inexpensive parking lots in the area.

the price was good so i booked it. the hotel is good but it is old. on the first day the shower was not as warm as i wanted. it's not a new hotel but still hold it's shape. i expected more, the room's picture doesn't match the real room's shape. anyway it was a good stay and i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I did a lot research before deciding on this one. However, the experience was not as expected. The biggest disappointment came from the layout of the rooms. I happened to open the door of which I thought was a closet. However, it was actually a doorway to the room next door. It was supposed to be locked by the guests next door. But it was open, and […] the room was so messy. I called the front desk and they did send the security to lock the door from the other side. Funny thing was there was someone sleeping inside, though it was afternoon. I couldn't describe my feeling at that time, I just felt wired, and wish I'd never opened that door. Though the doorway could be locked from my side too, I just felt uncomfortable living so close to that guy, whose door I opened and the room I peeked twice and had security go in when there was a privacy tag outside. Well, maybe I was just afraid the guy would be mad at me. Then I decided to switch a room. I went to the front desk and asked for another room and was told all rooms are connected to another for emergency purpose, except the corner room. My friends happened to get a corner room without a connecting neighbor. I asked for a corner room and was told none was available. Okay, fine, I then asked for whatever another room, just stayed away from the guy I had just disturbed. All of a sudden, the manager came in and told the lady to give me room 802. The lady said the room was a corner room and just came out and needed house keeping. I was happy that I could get a corner room and said I could wait. I patiently waited for nearly over an hour, and finally they got the room ready. However, when I moved to the room, I found it was worse located in the corner among 4 other rooms (my previous room was surrounded by only 3 rooms). That said, there are 5 room crowded in a small corner of the hotel building. I was so tired and disappointed that I decided not to waste my time on it any more, as long as I knew this time not to open the door Devamı

Good hotel but in a less than desirable neighborhood. Unless you're going to see a Lakers game I can't find a reason to stay here. In fact after seeing LA I don't wanna go back. Other than that it was a great hotel.

Great Hotel with big rooms and very good lounge. but it has no free internet and charges abusive parking price (40 usd)

Loved this hotel, the location was great. Staff were all so friendly and helpful, the concierge was delightful and helped us with our planning everyday. We enjoyed the stayy here so much we will cut our stay in other areas so we can return and finish our holiday on a high.

I have stayed at other hotels including the Biltmore in LA. But the Omni, with its modern conveniences and its large rooms, provides a much greater experience for the frequent traveler such as myself. Parking is an issue downtown with their Valet parking, it was perfect. Everyone was smiling and always asking how they could help.

I stayed here while traveling for work in Los Angeles for the first time and I would highly recommend it! The hotel was beautiful, clean and the staff was incredibly responsive. My only complaint is that parking is very expensive. But the hotel is centrally located, the staff is kind and attentive and the rooms were gorgeous. This is one of the top hotels in LA. The room was clean and tidy, services were excellent and attention to detail and the location of the hotel is in the heart of downtown LA. Will definitely return to stay with Omni!

My husband and I visited some friends in LA for the weekend and decided to stay at the OMNI. We stayed in one of the premier rooms and it was extremely spacious, with a full sitting area in front of the king bed. The hotel is in excellent condition and I highly recommend it. I'm extremely particular about bathrooms and the bathroom was in excellent […] shape. The linens were extremely fresh as well. Parking is half price on the weekends ($20) so that was also a good deal. Service overall is amazing. I will definitely be returning when I visit LA Devamı

My only complaint is that we wished they had a hot tub to go with their out door pool. The pool wasn't really usable in December.

A very nice stay.. The hotel has a very classy, sophisticated set up..& the drinks at the bar are not watered down..good drinks. I really enjoyed my stay

What a great stay at the omni. I made my res. last minute & almost stayed at the standard, as I have in the past. By comparison, the standard is completely impersonal & does not do too much extra for it's guests. I experienced the excellence in service at the omni, from the moment you pick up the phone (good evening Ms Smith, what can I do for you?), […] to the complimentary downtown car service. My room was beautiful, the hotel was beautiful, and I felt proud to meet & be dropped off by clients/associates/potential investors at such an upscale location. If you need or want to stay in Down Town Los Angeles, the Omni Hotel has a very convenient location in regards to very important law firms, museums, sports, art and music landmarks as well as to the Federal Buildings, the City Halland historic sites like Placita Olvera and the Train Station We were there for business and we really enjoyed the generous […] size of the rooms and the quietness of the street at night time. Everything was OK except outdated shower (slightly uncomfortable). Overall - definitely 4 star hotel.

We stayed at the Omni on 11/26/2011 and it was an absolutely wonderful stay. The bed was unbelievably cozy, soft. Room was very clean, nice view, great amenities and overall just fantastic! The staff was polite, courteous and helpful and we will most definitely stay there again next year.
