Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz - Berlin

My stay at the Radisson's Park Inn of Berlin lasted only five days, but I got to say the experience was overall great. The hotel lies within a medium walking distace of the Brandenburg Gate, about 2 km, and most of Berlins most interesting sights can be seen around that very path. You have the metro and railway station pretty much on the backyard with […] all possible fastfood joints around it, and via the station you have access to the whole city with ease. The quality of service was way over average and the hotel itself looked really nice inside and outside. Also I think a close to five star hotel is very inexpensive, if two person's one night stay can be split in fifty bucks each in such a major scene. About the nightlife of the area, I got to say that you have some nice restaurants and clubs at very close range and smaller, but most fascinating local bars and pubs some 3-5 hundred meters north of the place. If i have to find something bad to say about the hotel, I guess it's the WiFi which i think should be pretty much standard in any hotel. Here however the WiFi worked only at the lobby of the 30 floor hotel, and you had to pay of the usage with your credit card. Gladly the hotel personnel tipped me about a free WiFi at a Starbucks just on the other side of the metro station at the foot of the Fernsehturm. Other than that, enjoy your stay. Devamı

We had a nice stay in a well mantained hotel, comfortable room, convenient location, except construction in front of the hotel makes it somewhat difficult to roll the luggage, particularly when it is raining.

This hotel was great! Perfect location and helpful staff. Their internet rates are however robbery and if you are sharing a room with a friend be prepared that the bathrom and shower are completely open to the entire hotel room. Is that European?

There was city constrution all around the front entrance of the hotel - it would have been helpful to know where exactly the parking was as that is between the two directions of traffic just in front of the hotel.

The appearance of the hotel is nice and everything seems to be in order but I stayed here 3 nights and just couldn't get a good nights sleep. The ventilation system in my room never turned on and the beds were uncomfortable. I called down to the front desk and they said the rooms were automatically temperature controlled. Too hot for me. The 'blankets' […] are these thick, quilted things that make you hot and the pillows are so soft they lack any support. I won't stay here again. Devamı

This Hotel is really nothing special. It's only saving grace is the perfect location. Rooms are shoddy and the service is sub standard. Lobby feels like walking into a hospital. Layout of the room is very annoying too. Rooms feel old and in need of a refurb. I highly suggest looking into the H2 Hotel which is half the price , brand new and across […] the road from Park Inn. You really can't complain about the location. Its located close to bus, tram and subway, and next to the TV tower. Great surrounding neighborhood, and walkable to museum island. Rooms are smallish but comfortable. I got charged a supplement (15 euros/night) to get early check in, a higher floor and view on Alexanderplatz. Great deal. Breakfast is pricey […] and is not as good as other hotels. If you want to tour the city's sites, check out the Segway tours that start from Alexanderplatz. The hotel is opposite the Radio tower and Kaufhof and is well placed for U-BAHN & S-BAHN. The hotel is on 37 floors and I paid small supplement for room on the 35th floor with grandiose views over the city. I Found the hotel reasonably priced for what it is and the room was clean and comfortable altho only 1 chair. My room had an open bathroom configurtion […] and shower only so if you don't want that configuration might be as well to check. Nice hotel in a very convenient location. Devamı

This place is not four star. 3 at the very best. The rooms are small. There is no separate bathroom - just a glass partition a meter from the bed. The drinks in the main bar and the mini bar are way-WAY overpriced. The rooms are stuffy and do not have an option to open the window....hence the air is dry hot and airconditioned and your only option is […] to drink a half liter of plain bottle water for 4 euro plus tax from the mini bar. The food is also overpriced and you are being worked for your money as the rooms are a reasonable rate. The hotel is located in an excellent location, convenient starting point in any direction. Very good breakfast, clean room, comfortable modern equipment, the problem is that he is very small and crowded, there was no place to put the bags. No Wireless Internet in the room just in the Lobby. The internet is relatively expensive.

Sweet hook up, right in the middle of town, close to everything u want to do. Very clean room. Only thing, as others have mentioned, is be aware of bathroom and shower situation... Not so separated from room. I was on my own so no worries.

Park Inn Alexanderplatz is a great location. Right in the heart of the city and next to a main station. The hotel is quirky - don't share a room with a friend if you are shy! The bathroom is in the room, you have no privacy - but this is okay if you are on your own or sharing with your significant other. In December christmas markets set up, and one […] is right on your doorstep - along with the beer keller that is lively, fun has great food, and is only 100 steps away from the hotel. This hotel is clean and staff are friendly, rooms aren't overly large, double rooms are comfortable and adequate, single rooms are very small, if you book a double for single occupancy ensure that this is what you get, however it is usually somewhere to put your head, how long do you spend in your room? Great location, didn't book breakfast, hotel bar is nice and reception were friendly, no wi-fi though which was a major minus, just plug in lead which requires one to change the internet settings on the laptop

A top class hotel situation in the vibrant Alexanderplatz area of Berlin. The rooms whilst not large, have all that you require and are comfortable and clean. The hotel bar Spargos is a welcoming retreat with a stunning centre seating area. Breakfast was the largest buffet selection I have ever seen and was excellent quality which really set you up […] for the day. The Hotel is at Alexanderplatz which is a great location to get to see most of Berlin with very good links to the Train, Tram and Bus. However the area where the hotel comes out on to is surrounded by drunks, vagrants and beggars and may not be suitable for the more dainty traveller. The hotel room was a let down we had a room on the 22nd floor and […] the wind whistled around the hotel room noisily at night. The room was far too warm and the Air-con if it existed never worked, opening the window only partially cooled the room. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the fixtures present were well maintained and of good quality. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. The shower was part of the main room and separated by glass and a curtain that could be pulled over to give privacy, the toilet was in a small cubicle with a frosted door. This was not very private! Breakfast was the only meal that we had in the hotel and was adequate but very crowded the selection of dishes were ok. If you want to use the hotels leisure facility it charges 5 € per person. The hotel could just do more to make it a proper 4 star hotel however as it is at the moment I would only give it three stars. Devamı

polite stuff, clean rooms a bit small great location

Hotel is perfectly located. U-Bahn is outside the door and Alexander Platz station is 2 mins walk away. Rooms and facilities were as described and in my opinion perfect for the few days we spent there. One thing I would say is that if you're travelling as a couple then to keep the romance alive, turn the TV up when one of you needs to use the facilities!! […] Breakfast can be got at any of the pastry shops near to station or across from the hotel before you head out and about. Enjoyed the hotel bar at the end of long day sight seeing, make sure you check out the lounging area just next to the main bar area opposite the piano, very chiiled! Berlin is a fantastic city! Areas to check out are Kreuzberg and the bar/restaurant 'Henne'; also Prenzlauer Berg and the restaurant 'Weinstein' especially for wine lovers. Other tips would be to do the yellow sight-seeing bus (you can get tickets from the hotels concierge) when you get there and get a feel for the place. it's a jump on jump off thing so it gives you freedom to explore and still get home at end of the day, last bus leaves Alexander Platz at 4pm. Also make sure you go the 40th foor to experience the city at great height (you can even experience a drop at great speed from the top of the hotel, under supervision and full safety of- course attached to a bungee type thing, thrill seekers check it out). Tip: buy the Berlin City Travel Ticket at the airport as soon as you arrive at the Info Desk. It gets you many discounts! Enjoy! Devamı

This is very well located, most trams, buses and even a train converge within two blocks. The hotels has fast internet access for a charge through a cable modem already installed in the rooms by the phone and in the loby there is wi-fi for a charge as well not cheap. The concierge are professional and very well informed on what to do and a famous restaurant […] called Spagos where people from outside go to have drinks as it's somewhat popular. Location very centric and walking from a lot but if you like a trendier area you can look for a hotel near the entrance of the Zoo Garden by the famous Kufurdustam street also know as Kudam Street where the best restaurants and shops are, also walking from Kudam street is the famous KDW department store with it's deli and food section that put Harrods to shame. It is our 1st time ordering hotel tickets over the net, and it seems that although we had our fears - it was the right choice. Hotels.com were attentive and helpful over the phone during the process of placing the order. Park-Inn Alexanderplatz is a great choice in our opinion. We received a simple yet very enjoyable room in the 33 floor, which had […] a great view. The room furniture, the included breakfast, the hotel facilities and the hotel staff - all were just right for us. and of course - you couldn't ask for a better location in Berlin... it might be a subjective opinion, but it was a very good choice and as the title says - cost effective. I visited Berlin when it was around 35 degrees Celsius and it was important for me to get a room with air condition. Location was also important. Park Inn was a good choice regarding both. The rooms were a bit small, but that was OK, as we didn't spend too much time in the hotel. It is an old east German hotel and I must say it is nicely maintained. […] And very clean! Devamı

This hotel was absolutely at the centre of the action, and most things we wanted to see were close by. The train and buses run right through Alexanderplatz as it is in fact a transportation hub. The hotel was clean and convenient. We didn't use many hotel services as our priority is always the cleanliness of the beds and bathroom and comfort of the […] beds. Both were excellent and we had a good sleep the entire stay. The walls are thin, so we could hear our neighbours talking in their normal voices and that did wake us up, but it wasn't a major inconvenience. We could open the windows to get some fresh air which is also nice, and the room was quiet, apart from the thin-wall problem. All in all, a clean and comfortable room, right in the centre of the action. Very easy to get transportation to and from the hotel to various sites, including the airport (Tegel). Devamı

The Park Inn is in Alexanderplatz, about a 5 minute walk from one of the main stations and a few minutes from the Rathaus, TV Tower and loads of other great sights. The staff all spoke excellent English and were all very friendly and polite. My room was on the eleventh floor and I had a great view of the square below and across to the TV Tower. Rooms […] on the other side of the hotel may get a view of a building site though! The bathroom was a bit odd in that the bath and sink area were part of the main room, with only a shower curtain to separate it and provide a bit of privacy. Fine for me as I was staying on my own but it might not suit everyone! The hotel is very secure - you need a key card to operate the lift and they are programmed to only work for your floor and the common areas. Overall this hotel is good value for money, really easy to get to and it's one of the tallest buildings in Berlin so you can always find your way back to it! Devamı

All was very good, we love to stay ther

This is the first time I ever stayed in a hotel room that didn't have a real bathroom. The shower and toilet were separated from the rest of the room by a compartment that had frosted glass and one door accommodated both, swinging one way or the other. Great location, close to many tourist sights and well placed for public transport. Hotel clean with helpful staff. Did not eat at hotel but at a Vietnamese restaurant nearby which was excellent and good value for money.

I normally never stay at large hotels like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel, although built by the communists in East Berlin back in 1969, has been totally renovated. It is very modern and comfortable. I had a lot of business meetings in this part of Berlin known as the Mitte and it was a perfect location. Plus, if you are a tourist, […] you are within walking distance to almost all of the big historical sites in Berlin. I will stay here the next time I am in in Berlin. Devamı

My Stay in the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz was good and I will see in future if i can choose this hotel for a stay in Berlin. But one i like was the view of the city from Park Inn. Nice View

First some cons: the room was a little bit smaller than expected. It was a challenge to deal with 2 suitcases for 2 people. Their advertised heating floor was actually only half heated around the batch tub leaving half of the floor cold. There is only a curtain separating a room from a bath tub. Only half of the bathtub is surrounded by glass walls, […] leaving half of the bath tub open that caused some water leakage on the floor when shower is taken. On another hand the hotel location is great, and really close (max walking distance 20 min) to many sightseeing attractions. The included breakfast is also very good, offers a lot of varieties to satisfy different tastes. Overall I would recommend this hotel for staying in Berlin, and most likely will consider it for next time stay. 1. Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz occupies a pre-reunification high-rise hotel. The rooms are VERY SMALL, and have a worn, eastern bloc feel, despite 4-star status. On entering the room, we noted a sewer-y smell in the bathroom, sufficient to request a room change. 2. Reception desk is understaffed for the number of guests, therefore always a queue […] to wait on. Same for concierge. 3. Alexanderplatz is busy but far from scenic, frankly couldn't see why it is recommended as a base of operations. What I'm really trying to say is this: this hotel is merely adequate, in a lackluster way. While it is true that the high floors provide a view, this doesn't justify a 4-star price, and I would recommend instead a hotel in the West Berlin part of town. If you do stay in the East, choose a hotel constructed post-reunification, the more recent the better. Devamı

This hotel has a great location, the room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and the bar is nice. Skip the weekend brunch--the place was a zoo with all the tour groups and it was hard to get a table. We would definitely stay there again.

Judging by the exterior veneer, you might be misled into believing that Park Inn might be a mass hotel for the budget traveler. Far from it. Clean and modern rooms with astonishing views over East Berlin.

nicely located hotel, but with such a small room that it was tough to do daily push-ups! Breakfasts were good, though.

The hotel sits on one edge of Alexanderplatz in what was East Berlin. Good nearby access to metro and restaurants.

Nice enough hotel, bathroom is definatley designed for Single people. Myself and partner had problems sleeping on the bed, although they supplied extra pillows when asked. Did not try the breakfast, your in walking distance of everything so no need. Have to agree with other people, you had to wait 10-15 minutes to check in, which is a shame because […] they just need a few more people on reception. For the price and location its worth it all, would stay there again but maybe only for a short stay. Hint, get the RED Airport express train, dont take directions from train staff 5 times they told us the wrong platform/train. You can also jump off the hotel for a price :P good to watch but didnt try it. Devamı
