Great location. Room was dated, but well maintained. Had Jr. suite which had lots of room

This hotel was great - the room was oversized and comfortable, the bed was great, the people at the front desk were warm and helpful, the location was perfect. My overall experience at the hotel was really fantastic and added to the enjoyment of my weekend in NYC.

The hotel staff was superb as were the rooms. An overall exceptional experience!!!

When we first went into our room, the first thing I noticed was the damp smell, then I saw the brick wall straight outside the window, making the room feel claustrophobic, it felt as though it was in a basement.. Being English and not liking to normally complain, we did tel reception and they immediately sent a porter to move our luggage to another […] room. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with a view of the street, which was very welcome. The only small niggle was the noise from the air conditioning unit, which we had to turn off at night. Otherwise this was a gem of a hotel. Devamı

My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. The service was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the decor was beautiful. We highly recommend the Michaelangelo for a romantic weekend in the city.

One ha only to step inside this wonderful hotel to feel the quiet elegance it maintains from morning to night. The staff is friendly and helpful and always says a friendly "hello" when you pass. This hotel is a treasure that I will share with those who really place a premium on such an environment.

This is a great hotel, the rooms are very big, especially for New York. The location is great and the staff is excellent.

The Michaelangelo Hotel is perfectly located near Times Square and Central Park. From the moment you approach you are warmly greeted with helping hands. The concierge is there with advice on restauarants and theater info including maps. The place is pretty, the rooms comfortable. and quiet. This was my first stay. The lobby was a bit dated looking, but the room was great. There is no coffee in the room, but room service came in 10 minutes. The continental breakfast was huge and tasty. The bar was quite nice, with excellent service. Hotel location is perfect for theater.

We stayed here based on recommendations from friends and the reviews we read. We were not disappointed in the least. The service was outstanding, the room size was huge considering most others in NY are very small, and the location couldn't get any better. Right around the corner from Time Square and Central Park. While the hotel was very nice, I was not overly impressed. I would likely try something different in the future, just to get a comparison (it was my first time in NY). Con(s): (1) While most of the staff members were very nice, a few were rude. My first talk (on the phone) with a member of the hotel staff was very disappointing (I found him to be […] very rude and unhelpful). (2) I noticed a number of other reviewers praised the size of the bathtub. Unfortunately for us, there was hair in the bathtub when we arrived -- which left us feeling uneasy about using anything other than the shower. (3) Price tags on various items in the room created a somewhat unwelcoming feel. I understand placing price tags on the mini-bar, but placing a price tag on the robes in the bathroom was a little excessive. (4) Not a very good view. Pro(s): (1) Big room (2) Little street noise for us (we were on one of the higher floors). Again, I'm not saying our stay was horrible -- just not remarkable for the amount we spent. Given that there are lots of hotels at similar price ranges, I would probably opt to try something else in the future. Devamı

Located a block from Rockefeller center, easy access to subway lines. Boutique feel to the hotel, everything was perfect: clean, well decorated rooms, pleasant and helpful service and great meal in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend it!

the Michelanglo is a greathotel - it is very comfortable and quite yet right in the middle of NYC. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a superb luxury boutique hotel on 51St. The location is great, just round the corner and it's within walking distance to Times Square, the Subway stations and some of the theatres. I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights before moving to Michelangelo and I much prefer Michelangelo. I stayed there for 6 nights and was very comfortable in the spacious […] bedroom and a very lovely bathroom where the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. I had a night flight and the hotel was willing to extend my check-out time 2 hours later. I appreciate the flexibility and will definitely go back there for my next trip. Devamı

Very close to theaters, times square and not too far from central park. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable and large with a large bathroom and tub. Super comfy bed. Best thing was that you are close to all the action but the hotel itself and room was beautiful, quiet and cozy. Only complaint is that plumbing could be quite loud […] at times. Otherwise perfect! I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Hotel.com and I have to agree that it is a great find. I've stayed at many hotels in NYC, including the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton and I have to say that the quality of the room was comparable (other than the bathroom). It is convenient for shows but you don't feel like you in the middle of a millino tourists […] in Times Square. Great hotel! Devamı

What a "find"! The ambience, and cordial service, as well as the refined decor makes for a perfect overnight stay in NYC!

We had another lovely stay at the Michelangelo. Our room was spacious, the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for the theatre , fine dining, and interesting shopping. This is definitely our favorite place to stay.

My husband and I visit NYC at least a couple of times a year to see a show, have a nice dinner and an overnight stay. Recently, we stayed at the Michaelangelo Hotel. It was wonderful. We had a beautiful room. It was very cozy and comfortable with all the amenities. It has a great location. Its close to the Theater District and great restaurants. Other […] must see sights are in walking distance. The front desk staff and other employees were all professional, helpful and friendly. This is going to be our new NYC home away from home. This is the second time I've stayed and both times it has been great. You can not beat the location.....turn right to Rock Center and left for Times Square!

The room was decorated in opulent bordello style, offered no sky view (just an air shaft) and, worst of all, was incredibly hot and stuffy. There seemed to be no way to cool it down or introduce clean, fresh air. Moreover, the switch on the bedside lamp was defective, and sparked when it was turned on, rendering the lamp unsafe to operate and ,therefore, […] useless. Love the Michaelangelo - always stay there when in NYC. Really miss the continental breakfast in the lobby. Basement accomodations more like a dungeon-definitely a downgrade in service. Otherwise still a great hotel in perfect neighborhood

Wow! I absolutely love this hotel and will definitely be making this my new go to hotel in NYC. I received a complimentary upgrade and was blown away by my beautiful room. The staff are very willing to help with all requests and treat you fabulously. This was our second stay and is a perfect place to stay for theater and MOMA.

Room was small, but clean. Bathroom could only accommodate one person at a time. The biggest complaint was the bed was too soft. The 3rd night I actually slept in the floor, because my back was hurting from the previous two nights. The 4th night, I tossed and tumbled all night. We were on the 7th floor and there was no ice machine. The nearest machine […] was on the 5th floor and it did not work. Staff didn't seem to be too concerned about it. There are only 7 floors, so views are very restricted and some rooms apparently don't have an outside view. Devamı

On new years eve I reserve a room at this hotel with a special someone to bring in the new year but as my dissapointment on the hotel staff that i was rudely interrupted by an intruder that cause my new year eve to be a nightmare. What happen was that the hotel staff let this intruder in the hotel without checking id at all. She came to my room using […] foul language and also I was concerned for my safety and my company that i was with, I asked security to call the police and in doing so i was told by security staff that it wouldnt be proper to call the police for this incident for the sake of the reputation of the hotel. Lovely hotel in an ideal location for the theatre district, great room, and very obliging staff.. My only tiny reasons for not giving full marks in every section was that a turn down service was promised but never happened. this wouldn't normally matter, but over the three days, i never worked out what to do with all the elaborate bedding once i was […] ready to retire. i also could not work out how to watch the TV whilst sitting in the armchair, due to the position of the bed in relation to the enclosed TV Very nice friendly and cheerful staff.
