Hotel De Notre Dame - Paris

A wonderful hotel situated in a fabulous part of Paris. 2 minutes from Notre Dame and a Metro stop. The hotel was very quiet considering where it was. We had a fairly small attic room but it was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The hotel staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is minutes away from an overwhelming selection of cafes, […] bars and restaurants along the Boulevard St Germain, a lovely and vibrant part of town. Visiting the rest of Paris is is extremely easy from here and is also minutes away from the Notre Dame RER Train stop which goes to and from CDG Airport (saving a fortune in taxi fares!) We had a very enjoyable stay for 2 nights In Feb 2012 in Hotel de Notre Dame. This is a lovely boutique style hotel within minutes walk of Notre Dame cathedral which meant we were close to everything. There were great restaurants nearby and as suggested in other reviews we requested a room on the top floor with views of the cathedral which we got. One street back from Notre Dame. 2 minutes walk to the restaurants, pubs and bars of Saint Germain and Buci. Metro within 200 yards. Shops, supermarket, bread, cheese, wine, tabacco shops all near by. Receptionist very helpful. Able to store bags until it was time for our flight. we realize it is europe and the room would be small, but really did the bed have to be so hard, and the pillows be so flat? In the pictures of our room was a shower tub combination. Ours was only a shower, however this was very nice comming down from the ceiling. Others have said not to eat breakfast here, this was nice but as stated a little pricey. […] All staff were very nice, and very helpful. The hotel is new renoated and clean. Its located not far fom notre-dame! It has a small trainingroom with 2 machines. When we left we had to pay 1 euro each per night we had stayed. This was not expected and something i did not like. This should be included in the price when we payed for the hotel. Rooms were very small, but comfortable. Dining room for breakfast was quite strange, with very low chairs and tables. Decor pleasant, neighbourhood good for restaurants and sight-seeing, staff friendly and helpful. I would not be over effusive in praise, but for a reasonable hotel, at a good price, this was quite satisfactory.

The location is fantastic. Friendly, helpful service along with a welcoming lobby are additional benefits. The room was very small, but the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom is awkward and lacks privacy.

Overall an excellent very French hotel. Small rooms as expected but w/ good use of space. Excellent location. Friendly mostly helpful staff, but their Email address was not correct and I was very disappointed in their selection of a restaurant.

Buyer beware, before booking this hotel I would recommend that you inquire about the specific dimensions of the room, especially if you plan to share the room with another person. Likewise, the room had no tissues, the bathroom had no electrical outlet, and the sink and tub were plastic/fiberglass and not porcelain which disturbed me. Stayed here for 3 nights, September 8-11. Room size was good with a very modern bathroom and was cleaned daily. No problem with the free wi-fi. Queen size bed was comfortable. Plenty of closet/drawer space and a long wall desk to set up laptop, recharge cameras, etc. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful (emphasis!). Since our train did not […] leave until 5 in the afternoon, we were able to leave our luggage in a locked closet on the lobby after checking out on Sunday while we finished our tourist activities. There is work out room and sauna in the basement, but, we did not have time to use. The only short-coming we encountered was that hot water seemed to run out for a time after 9 in the morning...so make sure you shower earlier in the morning. The location was perfect! We were able to reach the hotel easily on foot since it is located only 2 or 3 blocks from the Maubert-Mutualite metro station, which we reached directly from Paris Nord train station. Just a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Paris tour buses located one block past Notre Dame and a the Pompedue Center is another 10 minute walk in the same direction. In the other direction is Blvd Saint-Germain, a major Paris thoroughfare with plenty of restaurants. We were able to walk to many Paris tourist attractions from this location include the Louvre, Muse De Orsay, and even the Eiffel Tower (about 3 miles). I found this hotel by chance after my first two selections had no vacancy, I was able to book two rooms two weeks before our trip. I was not sure what to expect, but, am very happy our group of four stayed here. The selection of Hotel De Notre Dame added to very nice Paris experience...my first trip. In summary : Great Location, Convenient, Clean, and Comfortable. Room cost was a good value for Paris. I will stay here again with no hesitation. Devamı

Being in the middle of the city life was key to enjoying my vacation. This hotel is perfect for those looking for a great location to dine at a variety of cuisine, two blocks away from Notre Dame, and a block from the Seine River. In addition, if you ever need to get to places outside of central Paris, you're three blocks away from a main Metro station. […] The jacuzzi bathtubs are very relaxing and big enough for two. Although the staff is nearly non-existent, there is a security personnel always sitting in the lobby for any requests. hotel is wonderully located and has quiet rooms with decent bathrooms. It is very close to the metro and to taxi stands (50 yards away for each). The prinicipal drawback is that the rooms are very small (the only place for suitcases is on the floor between the wall and your bed), and the hotel seems overpriced.

My Partner and I stayed four nights in De Notre Dame Hotel paris, we would have continued our stay if it were possible. Whilst the Rooms are smaller than western hotel rooms,( this is not unusual for most rooms in paris) the interior design is smart, balancing classic parisian chic with modern colours,facilities and practicality. Bedroom and Bathrooms […] kept very clean. Suffiecient wardrobe space for two travellers, and the Bath provided an interesting Multi coloured light :)))) The View seen from our open french door windows, was the perfect setting for out first time In Paris. The Location is very Central and the street is Safe and clean. The Staff were very respecting of our privacy and also very Friendly, They did not mind speaking English. Breakfast was inexpensive and satisfying, Free Wireless was also included. We highly reccomend this hotel to others and will remain very fond of out memories there :) Devamı

The area around this little hotel is very charming and has a lot of cute little restaurants, cafe´s and shops, if you get a room at the top floor you will notice the Notre dame cathedral through the window..

The hotel was great for me and my wife! Location was fantastic and staff was nice. There was no shower only a bath in our room but it didn't bother us. Plumbing was excellent as well was the cleanliness. Only negative is that the the wifi did not reach our room which stunk but certainly was not the end of the world. Good hotel.

The hotel was a little difficult to find, but I was so happy I booked here after I wondered down the right alley. It was a perfect place to stay because of its location. It was out of the way enough that I didn't hear the noise of the Latin Quarter or the surrounding bars and pubs. But, that was also the benefit-- how close the hotel was to the neighborhood […] hang-outs. It was such a perfect location in terms of the metro too-- Maubert-Mutualité is directly across the intersection. I felt very safe at night walking back to the hotel and the night-clerk is one of the nicest people I met in Paris. The day clerk was a little trickier. I feel like if I didn't speak french-- or at least enough to mutter my way through the beginning of the conversation-- I would not have been treated nicely. When I asked (in french) what time I should check out the man acted as if I was an insane person asking to be let out of the asylum, but gave me all of the information I needed. The room was clean and had a nice interior view of the courtyard. I would not expect to have an "outstanding" view of Notre Dame, but If you're like me and prefer walking around the city instead of staying in your room, the view is a relaxing change. I loved the way the hotel was decorated, too. It was a mixture between bright contemporary colors and traditional patterns. For example, in the lobby there are chairs in a tasteful lime green damask. Or, in the room, the toilet was enclosed in orange glass and the shower was left open. I'm also pretty picky about the showers-- in France I haven't been too happy to shower with a wand. This shower was spectacular. It was a rain shower head and also had a wand attachment. The only downside is the room was a little small, but what else could be expected from a hotel in Paris? It was a perfect size for me and one of my friends (who annoyingly hadn't made a hotel reservation). So for two people a double is spacious enough. I have to admit: I did not eat breakfast at Devamı

The location was great. Rooms are small and beds are pretty hard. Rooms are recently renovated. Staff was friendly, I would stay here again. If you want a room with a shower versus tub, ensure to ask.

Modern and clean. Room was small by American standards, but comfortable bed and quiet. Only issue was breakdown of the lift for most of one day. Staff very helpful. Everything in Paris is VERY expensive, though.

A lovely hotel on a quiet street in easy walking distance of many Paris sights and many excellent restaurants and cafes. The rooms are Paris-sized, and the ensuite bathrooms are a kind of conceptual art: loved the light filled square foot of waterfall shower; did not love the toilet without a closing door -- not so romantic. Hotel De Notre Dame-Madame on days was very helpful and English was excellent.Location on quiet side street but close to metro, cafes and don't neet breakfast, good options nearby. Room was small and only tub, would request a shower next time but would definitely stay there again.

The hotel had no major flaws or assets. The daytime reception person was relatively indifferent but answered questions when necessary. On check-out, receptionist wanted more Euros for "city tax" even though Hotels.com statement said room paid in full.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is small, the rooms are small, elevator is small. But, it is a great location, the staff was really nice and helpful, it is less than a block from the metro, two blocks to Notre Dame, 100 ft from a nice circle with cafe's, pubs, bakery, two farmer's markets while we stayed... My wife's first trip to Paris, […] she already is planning on when to go back and wants to stay in the same place. So, did I pick a winner??? The location of the hotel was perfect, close to restaurants, Notre Dame at the end of the block, great walking area! The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite, and always accessible. De Notre Dame is in an ideal, central location -- very close to 2 different metros, a 2 min walk from Notre Dame and in close proximity to nearly all major sightseeing and cultural destinations. Very convenient to the Metro, restaurants & Notre Dame. Room was small but to be expected in Paris. Quirky modern decor. Lift a bit noisy & sound proofing not great. Would stay here again.

For a long weekend away with only my eldest son it was the perfect spot to stay!! The rooms are indeed small (but I think most of the rooms in Paris are..) but very cosy and quiet!! The staff was very friendly. The metro just around the corner and the Notre Dame a 3 minutes walk! The neighborhood felt quite safe, safe enough for me to let my son go […] and get his inline skates by himself in the hotel while I was enjoying a french spring day on a bench next to the Notre Dame. If one of my other sons would like to go to Paris I would like to stay in this hotel again! Devamı

You never quite know what to expect from a small hotel in Paris - so this was a pleasant surprise. de Notre Dame had a charming reception and dining area, elevator, and interesting little contemporary rooms - SUPER CLEAN! - built into this historic building. Room was small, but nice with a terrific shower (like a rainstorm out of the ceiling!) Awesome […] location a short walk from RER/metro (St Michel). Computer in lobby with internet connection for guests, but no printer. I didn't do much shopping for price, as I wanted this area so don't know if this was a good value or not - but for a night or two, or when you aren't pinching pennies, this is a great little spot. Stayed 2 nights at the hotel De Notre Dame. Good clean rooms, very quite and short walk to everything. Recomend the ROSE shop around the corner.

Very nice location just across from the Notre Dame, but in quiet surroundings with small narrow streets with no traffic. In walking distance to RER directly to “Charles De Gaulle” Airport.

Great location. Ile de la Cité a block and a half away. Top floor room overlooked rooftops and Notre Dame Cathedral. Free WiFi, low-cost continental breakfast, wonderfully accommodating staff and good restaurants nearby. Room was small but comfortable with flat-screen TV, phone. We were delighted.

The hotel owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. Our room was very small, but we were expecting that when we decided to go with a non-chain hotel. The location is so great that we spent all our time out-and-about anyway and it was perfectly comfortable enough. Funky bathroom, which was unexpected and quite cool. It really is a non-smoking […] hotel, so no stale smell. I travel to Paris every week for work and since discovering de Notre Dame hotel always try to stay there. It's on a quiet little street right next to its namesake, 5 mins' walk from RER B (going to Charles de Gaulle and Gare du Nord), and 1 minute walk from Maubert Mutualite - and surrounded by a good selection of restaurants - one in particular which […] does fabulous wine-tasting on the same road - L'Atelier Maitre Albert. The rooms (as with all rooms in Paris) although quite small are stylishly chic, and they have kept the character of the old building (exposed - but painted beams, expose (but painted) brick walls), whilst making everything super-modern. Rainforest showers or baths in every room, nice toiletries and a comfortable double bed - for an affordable price (in Paris terms!). The staff are really friendly and obliging and by just my second visit the man on reception greeted me by name and had my key ready. Can't recommend it highly enough. Devamı

The only bad comment I have, is that the rooms are very very small. Other than that the hotel is great and very recomended! Its location is amazing. 2 minutes walk from Notre Dam & 2 minutes walk to Saint-Garmain were u can find lots of restaurants, bakeries, cheese shops and great coffee. It is also near a small metro station & 5 minutes walk from […] a very big & centrall metro station. The rooms are very very nice. They all very modern, clean & have great showers. Good location and very friendly staff

Although the hotel is located off the main street and many rooms face the courtyard, this place was far from quiet! Nowhere on its website was there mention of construction or renovations, yet workers were banging, drilling and yelling at one another from 7:30am every morning of my 5 day stay. I have lived in Paris several times and know the neighborhood […] well. I selected this hotel because the website said that there was a fitness center. I asked about the gym upon check-in and was laughed at. The man said that the gym was in the basement (along with the sauna, which you have to ask them to heat 30 minutes in advance; because the basement of most older French buildings are a bit dodgy and because I never knew ahead of time when it would fit into my schedule, I did not try the sauna), but that it was "under construction." Again, a detail that could and should have been mentioned on the website. The most problematic issue was the day the hotel turned off the water for more than three hours with no warning. I had been out with old friends the night before and returned very late. At noon the owner called my room, waking me up, to tell me they were turning off the water. That would have been okay, but she meant that the water was off as of that moment. With no advance warning, I hadn't yet had a shower (after a night out!). She promised the water would be back on after an hour; in reality it was three. I finally argued with her enough that she let me use the shower in an adjoining building with studios for rent. Beware of that property as well - the water was scalding hot and I burned my leg. I finally washed my hair in the sink and gave up on the rest. Although the owner said she would refund some of the money I had paid due to the problem, that never happened either. Finally, when the water was back on, the problems continued. The rooms have a modern look, but there were clearly some things that weren't taken into consideration during the last renovation. The shower Devamı

Nyrenoverat med kanonläge nära Notre Dame. Väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal som pratade bra engelska. Plus för iPod/iPhone-dockningsstation på rummet och snygg inredning. Gott om mysiga fik med utsikt mot Notre Dame precis runt knuten.
