It was nice and good for the money...love the point loma cafe next door for breakfast!! not free but the kids ate free which was nice. decent pool and spa...just ended up being tough to get in and out of point loma cause of the nonstop all hours traffic in that area

In brief, I would return to this hotel. We initially had difficulties getting into our room (key didn't work), but the staff was right on it and we were in the room within 15 minutes. Other than that , great location, helpful facility staff, comfortable and large accommodations, clean throughout. All at a decent price.

I requested a non-smoking room through Hotels.com. When I checked in, they told me that I requested "best available" and that I would have to take a smoking room. I was told to open the windows, and they offered me some air freshener. Thankfully the room didn't smell like it was smoked in recently, so it was tolerable. Good location. The room could have been cleaner and the bed was broken or damaged on one side. The rest of the facility was fine except that the soda machine and ice machine was about as far away from my room as it could get and still be on the hotel property.

The rooms was very comfortable and bedding was nice. They have a nice heated pool and jacuzzi, ping pong, and beach cruisers you can use. The hotel is very close to the airport across from the harbor. Youll need to rent a car if you want to get to many of the attractions. There are some great restaurants near the hotel

Excellent hotel. Clean and pleasant surroundings. Had a room on 5th floor. No complaints. The close by restaurant is a big plus. Airport shuttle is very dependable. Free parking!!!! Will stay in this hotel again.

Small room but comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Really didn't use the grounds but they looked clean. Only briefly interfaced with the staff and they were pleasant. The only negative was the soda machine on my floor and the floor below did not work.

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very helpful in every way. They have a really good restaurant on site. I would reccomend this hotel for anyone.

The title says it all. I would go there again.

The location near the water is nice, but the hotel is older and not everything was great. Pros: Nice bed and shower, easy access to Shelter Island (Brigadeer restaurant is real good), close to gaslamp district. Also, the price was decent, with free parking and internet as compared to other hotels. Cons: Virtually no real shops or restaurants within […] close walking proximity, room and bathroom a bit small and hallways and even rooms could look better. I'd prefer to be within walking distance of more things, but it depends on what you are looking for. Having a nice, soft pillow and a good shower made the overall stay just fine, as long as you are willing to drive for everything else. Devamı

Upon our arrival on Saturday 12/31 we were pleased. Then Sunday came and before a morning w/o I discovered a bed bug on opposite bed in room. We had our luggage on the bed, towards foot, and as I was putting on clothes I noticed spot moving on pillow on other side. 43 years of hotels and many travels and never a bed bug!! Till Now. WE STAYED PARTS OF 2 WEEKENDS, JAN 5-7 AND JAN 13-15 BEFORE AND AFTER A CRUISE. THEIR SHUTTLE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. THEY PICKED US UP AT THE AIRPORT, DROVE US TO THE HOTEL. THE DAY THE CRUISE WAS SET TO GO, THEY DROVE US TO THE CRUISE TERMINAL WITH ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE. WHEN THE CRUISE ENDED THEY PICKED US UP AT THE CRUISE TERMINAL AND DROVE US BACK […] TO THE HOTEL. THEN THE DAY WE HAD TO FLY HOME, THEY DROVE US TO THE AIRPORT TO MAKE A 6 AM FLIGHT. THE FRONT DESK PEOPLE, ERICA AND ESPECIALLY DALLAS ,WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND TREATED US VERY WELL. THEIR RESTAURANT AT THEIR LOCATION WAS ALSO VERY GOOD AND HAD REASONABLE PRICES FOR BREAKFAST AND DINNER. THE SERVICE IN THE RESTAURANT WAS EXCEPTIONAL. THE ROOM HAD 2 DOUBLE BEDS AND A GREAT VIEW FROM THE 4th FLOOR TO THE BAY. THE LARGE SCREEN TV WAS ALSO A PLEASURE TO WATCH. THE BATHROOM FACILITY WAS SPACIOUS AND CLEAN WITH FLUFFY TOWELS. THEY ALSO HAD COMPUTER FACILITIES ENABLING US TO PRINT OUR BOARDING PASSES FOR OUR FLIGHT HOME TO NY. FINALLY, THEIR LOCATON WAS AWAY FROM THE NOISY DOWNTOWN AREA AND IT WAS QUITE PLEASANT WALKING AROUND IN THE EVENING AFTER OUR DINNER. ALTOGETHER, WE HAD A GREAT EXPRIENCE FOR BOTH WEEKENDS AND WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THE HOLIDAY INN, BAYSIDE TO ANYONE VISITING SAN DIEGO IN THE FUTURE. Devamı

A beautiful, clean room, friendly staff, close to the water and minutes from the airport - can't be beat!

My family and i stay here for 5 nights,the staff were good and the room was clean and modern. would recommend but you do need a car to get to the sights.

We loved the location, real close to the San Diego Zoo, however when we checked in we were given keys to a room that was already occupied. We walked in and there were bags on the ground! We quickly exited and retained keys for a new room, not a problem, but a little shocking. Other than that the hotel was beautiful and breakfast was awesome. when I arrived I was not given a room on a high floor with a bay view as I expected. I never asked because I would only stay one night and my priority was resting and getting up early for a flight but my online reservation say bay side. My room was on the first floor of an older, motel-like building with the door facing the parking lot. All that aside, […] my room was clean and nicely decorated. The furniture, TV, and bedding all liked new and not worn out, good quality. The bathtub drain was extremely slow but It may be a building design issue because I have seen this in at least another holiday inn. While the room and the view where nice, something must be said about the smell and the used condom wrapping that was found under our bed. Otherwise, the service and staff were nice.

The hotel was in a great location...easy access and free parking! the only downside was the room was small, didn't look like the pictures on the website...we traveled with our 17 year old and the room was too cramped for the 3 of us...our room had a patio with a pool view which was nice...would stay again, but would definitely get a suite next time […] . The hotel is great. There is a restaurant in site with good food at good prices. The pool and spa are well kept. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a noise problem with guest besides which was taken care of right away. The location is about 20 minutes away from Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.

this holiday inn IS NOT the holiday inn across the street from Anthony's Fish Grotto (in the slightly nicer and fancier part of town a few miles down.) It was still cozy and cute...but don't expect a 4 or 5 star place.

My 2 night stay was very comfortable here. It is a good location. This was right in the middle both price wise and value wise. I do believe this will now be the hotel I choose for my San Diego trips. I felt like the area was safe and was close to whatever I needed. The room was very comfortable as was the bed. Great place to stay! The outside pool was heated ,so we were still able to go in it in the middle of December! There wasn't any towels at the pool, but we found a cleaning lady who showed us where some towels were. The room was very clean and the bed was VERY comfortable!

My husband and I just returned from four fabulous nights at the Holiday Inn-Bayside in San Diego which included Thanksgiving. There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe our experience. We LOVED everything about the hotel. The staff was among the BEST we have ever encountered in our numerous hotel stays around the U.S. We loved proximity […] to airport and the free shuttle to and from it as well as to a couple of popular restaurants in the area. LOVED the FREE bike usage which we availed ourselves of daily. The location near Harbor Island and Shelter Island gave us great, easy bike routes to enjoy. Wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the free continental or credit toward hot breakfast option. We will never stay anywhere else in S.D. now that we have found this gem. Did not encounter one grumpy, unhelpful staff member. All requests were greeted with smiles and comments such as "my pleasure". What a breath of fresh air! With family and the airport nearby, the Holiday Inn-Bayside will be our "home away from home" from now on. Nice job guys. You made our stay very pleasant. Lani and Rosemary Devamı

Good for families with kids because parking is close by, near 24 hour restaurants, well maintained & clean.

We enjoyed our stay here to visit family. The Bayside Cafe next door is excellent for breakfast too!

Decent room, comfortable next to marina. Approximately 10 min. drive to downtown.

My husband and I decided to do a quick getaway and I found your hotel online. I was very surprised at how nice and clean the hotel was. The staff out front were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back.

This hotel is in good condition, however my room was on the outer perimeter which made it very uncomfortable to return to after dark. Also there was a big drip in the walls, so don't stay in room 240.

This is a very busy hotel near the airport and other tourist destinations. In spite of the renovations this place is still feeling worn. And the smell was really bad. In the halls and in my room. It smelled like a college beer bar that's been in operation for 10 years. I would not stay here again but that is just me. The value wasnt that bad at Hotels.com […] rates. Devamı
