comfortable room, nice location, but the shower was cold and there were bed bugs.

I stayed here for a Saturday night because I did not want to drive home out of the city. This seemed like the perfect use for this place. Negative reviews have been overstated. The place is a little dumpy, sure, and I would not recommend for families with small children, but there is nothing sinister about the place, as some people would suggest.

Usually Days inn are pretty good and thats why we booked this hotel. The location is good (close to golden gate, lombard street), but the Hotel is VERY unclean and looks very very unsafe. Do not stay here if you are with family or are looking for a decent/safe place to live.

When I arrived in the afternoon my room was ready. I immediately fell in love with the area. Its s good 2.5 mile walk to Golden Gate Bridge and about the same to Fisherman's Wharf just as well Lombard is on a major busline to get to other destinations in the city. There are a lot of restaurant with in walking distance and tourist attraction. I recommend […] this hotel if you enjoy walking out of the way. The Hotel is about what you would expect in and of itself from one of its price and in its location. The rooms were clean and the location was very close to everything my wife and I wanted to see. The lower score comes from the fact that I requested a wake-up call from the staff, and was told that they could do it, but that the rooms had alarm clocks […] for that purpose. I told them I'd like one anyway because hotel alarm clocks were notoriously unreliable. I was told that I would get a wake-up call anyways, but never got one (a cell-phone alarm could be a lifesaver). I would caution anyone planning to stay here to make sure that you have your own means of waking up with you if you needed to wake up at a certain time. Devamı

Just Ok..

After seeing horrible reviews of this hotel, i decided to check it out for myself, not only were the stories of BED BUGS COMPLETELY FALSE, the room was perfect, at a great price, FREE PARKING, FLAT SCREEN TV and the location was central to all that is SF. The neighborhood was SAFE and the GREAT FOOD within a block of my room will make this my MUST STAY […] location on all trips to SF. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE and the MGR who I spoke to was helpful and a really nice guy. I have learned that when someone says things are so bad you have trouble believing them, well check it out for yourself, and when I did I found not only the best DEAL in SF for a room but great food without getting in my car. SF Hotels are known to charge 30 a day to park your car , it was FREE here.... I'd give this place 20 stars on a scale of 5.... Devamı

The parking lot doesnt hold enough space for all the guest, we were told "just park whever you want even if its a handicap space...it dont matter" The room was not only questionable about cleanliness, there were beverage rings on the desk, the plug in in the bathroom didnt work, not to mention the fire hazad coming from the other plug ins in the room, […] they had a power strip plugged into a power strip and both were fully loaded. Guest services were well...not there. We requested some extra towels and wash clothes (bc I had used the others to wipe down the room) and were told they had nothing until the morning,and that they would bring some up then...when we had to call bc no one showed up...he said they did not have any to bring. The hotel was in an excellent location. Being that it is located on Lombard Street, it was the perfect opportunity to not worry with driving and parking and take the bus. The room was small and clean, but ideal being the stay was for the purpose of exploring the city. No laundry facilities as advertised. Only one set of towels on arrival. Requested face clothes, told they didn't have any, and were brought hand towels and told to use them in the shower. Asked for a phone book, (because I wanted to look for another hotel,)and they didn't have one of those either. Requested a wake up call for 6 am. Not only did we not […] get the call, they didn't even show up until after 8 a.m. in the office, so the office was locked and we were unable to get coffee or the continental breakfast, which only consisted of stale danish, coffee, juice and bananas. I will never stay here again. I have learned my lesson. Pay a little more and actually feel comfortable in your room. The carpet was sick. Felt damp and was dirty. The front desk person was not nice nor helpful. The maid left her cart IN FRONT of my door making it difficult to get my luggage in. The iron in the room was broken along with 1 of 2 lamps […] not working. The hotel as a whole smelled bad. Bad place. Pay a little more, it will be worth it to not stay here! Devamı

One of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. Rooms are old and dumpy, there was a disco next door that was so noisy I had to go sleep in my car. Convenient location.

Rooms ok if you do not get the front rooms as they are extremely noisy from street noise and air conditioners are noisy in all rooms. The smell of the manager's family Indian cooking in the morning was hard to take and the breakfast was a joke. My big criticism is that on Monday morning I went to take a shower and within 45 seconds, the hot water was gone and I ended up taking a cold shower.

Days Inn is conveniently located on Lombard Street which is surrounded by neighborhood, specialty restaurants and shops. All restaurants were within walking distance. Behind the Days Inn is a convenient Apple store. A Walgreen's is within a block away. Free parking for hotel guests.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a relatively close location to the Fishermans wharf. Parking was also good, but always full. Plenty of restaurants and clubs around the area.

This hotel was beyond horrible! You know it is bad when your 9 yr old asks if they should wear their flip flops in the shower. There were burn marks in the sheets/comforter. Walls were dirty and wall paper was peeling off the wall. We wanted to switch hotels but there was nothing else available.

Everything is nice besides the WIFI signal. I must go out of the room to receive the signal.

It is in a convenient location and it has parking. No bed bugs. The carpets and walls were in bad conditions. Room was very small and dark but it had all the amenities: Small fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker, hair drier, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board.

I had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. Starting out the staff was NOT hospitable at all. He was busy with his own business and didn't care about talking to customer Second "BED BUGS" both my hands, my face are covered with bug bites, so try to save money somewhere else and stay at a nicer/cleaner more comfortable place.

The room was okay. I was a little disappointed in the room. It was clean- but needs some up keep. The bedding is real old, the wallpaper was peeling in several places, and the shower curtain rod was broken. The man in the office was real nice and very helpful. If they updated their rooms I would definintely stay there again.

Great location but very dirty with horrible beds. Suprised we didn't get bed bugs from this stinky place. Also, nice trick to offer a continental breakfast and then not be open to serve it! The picture of this motel is NOT the one that is located at this address.

It certainly isn't a swanky 5-star place, but the hotel was still clean and in good shape, and it was way cheaper than anything else we'd found. Great location, very safe and beautiful, right by lots of neat little stores, cafes, the beach, and a bus stop to anywhere else you want to go. The staff was very helpful and kind. The only thing is that the […] continental breakfast was basically nonexistent - it didn't bother us though because we'd saved so much money on lodging that it wasn't a big deal to just get breakfast at a nearby cafe. I booked this hotel as a mid-way stop from northern to southern california. The main reason was due to the free parking that was offered as other hotels in the area were charging $30+!! After checking in, I pulled into the parking lot but no spaces were available. When I asked the clerk where I was suppose to park, he told me to just park in the handicap […] slot. I asked him if he or hotel.com was going pay for the ticket if I recieved one and he stated "no". I asked him where other parking spots were and he stated "you are on your own!' and walked back into the office. Due to no spaces, I went ahead and parked in the middle of the driveway and walked to my room. It was very small but clean only had a little mold under the sink area. The bed was not desirable at all as it was concaved in the middle!! When my wife and I laid down, we were "drawn" to the center hole. Real glad we are "spooners" when we sleep!!!! Overall, the hotel is very small and compact. The price is great for the area, the free parking is great whenever a spot opens up and it is relatively close to everything. Devamı

I stayed at days inn with my college-age son during his spring break-we were welcomed by the manager, and the free parking in the hotel parking lot was key, as we had rented a car. We had 2 double beds, and out room was clean and spacious with microwave, refrig, coffee maker, and alarm-oh, and free wifi...coffee in lobby in a.m. The location of the […] hotel was perfect for our needs, as we ate breakfast at one of the many places on Chestnut or union street, right by the hotel --fabulous organic, bagel place, asian and mexican restaurants one block away. Also great walking in marina and close to fisherman's wharf and bridge ..the room was dark and quiet at night --traffic noise was minimal and i never heard anyone's TV (hate that). The manager went out of his way to help us with any questions or concerns we might have. He even found extra parking spots when the lots were filled., and helped with the wifi. I highly recommend Days Inn lombard for the location, price, and cleanliness!!!!! Plus, i am a distance runner and the running right from the hotel down into the Marina/presidio area is lovely... as I stated the service could have been better. The heater in the room did not work properly and the response by the staff was not that great. We changed rooms next day and it was better. you must realize that this is not a 5 star hotel and the rooms will reflect that but apart from service overall it was ok and I Might stay again because the location […] is good and the price is fairly good. If you are looking for safe, good location, free parking and cheap then this motel will work. This motel had the rooms facing the car parking lot and parking was free. Plenty of cafes, pubs, and ihop within a block. 20 mins walking from Fishermans Warf and a block from a bus stop that would take you to all major parts: north end, china town, finical […] area, Yerba center. This hotel was conveniently located, only about 3 miles from Fisherman's Warf and North Beach area. A cheap $7 cab ride took us to North Beach. At first our check it experience didn't seem promising since they had the wrong room we had made the reservation for, we reserved a double room but the hotel had reservation for a single king room, luckily the […] clerk was able to give us what we needed, 4 girls in a king room would've been a very tight squeeze. The rooms are small clean. The bathroom was so small, no counter space and just a small mirror which made it kind of difficult to get ready. Not a huge deal since we were only there for one weekend. We really appreciated the fact that the male clerk was accomodating and really nice, the girl not so much. If you're going to San Francisco for a weekend stay and are not really going to spend much time in the hotel I would recommend staying here. Decent, clean and safe. I was not expecting any frills, so I was pleasantly surprised. Good place to sleep, if you don't mind a bit of walk to main sightseeing.

The only complaint I have is that the pillows were horrible. They were impossible to get comfortable.

Great staff! Free parking! Spectacular price! This hotel is close to all the fun night life that The Marina has to offer. We had a great stay

The hotel parking lot was not that big so I would suggest taking that into consideration. Still, the hotel included parking which is a plus given the expensive parking in San Francisco. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (VERY HARD!) but the room was a decent size. Breakfast is a joke, it only serves coffee and some coffee cakes, which to me can't […] even be considered continental. There's an IHop across the street, though, which is where we chose to eat breakfast. Bottom line, there are other hotels very close by on the same street that include parking and might have more comfortable beds and a real continental breakfast for more or less the same price. I stayed here during my 3 day vacation to SFO. This hotel is located close to the Crooked Street and around 2 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. The owner was very nice to give us the room 2 hours before check-in time at no extra charge. Room was nice & clean, and the bathroom was very spacious. I would definitely stay […] here next time. Liked the location and free parking. Didn't like the front desk service (were not very helpful giving us directions to the hotel, sometimes didn't answer the phone). The room had small stains on the sheets and didn't feel clean. The Wi-Fi signal is only strong enough to work near the front office, but still it's free.
