The lady at the desk needs to take a class on Customer Service. Filled trash bags laying on the ground outside. The hot tub is cold and leaks. Our lock was torn off the door. Bad area. Just because you paint an old hotel doesn't make it nice......

It was clean but the breakfast was not near what was described to us. But the overall stay was fine.

My stay at this particular Howard Johnson was horrible. The cleanliness of the room was very bad. The sheets on the bed were stained and dirty, the towels were old, hard and no longer white. The carpet on the floor was the worst, after an hour of my 1yr old son walking around, his feet were black from the filth...seriously. We were not happy to find that the hotel did not have a restaurant, or bar/lounge available as the booking information said. They did have a bar, but it was closed the whole time. We were told that the bartender quit . There was not a restaurant, but a breakfast room where they served breakfast only. The waffle maker was broken. Was a little hard to find.Hotel staff was great. Was close to downtown but a little out of the way for amusement parks. Was not as back as I thought it would be.

The photos make it look better than it is. It calls itself "inn and suites" and it is really not a suite. I reserved a handicapped room with two king beds and a regular room with two queen beds. I arrive and am told there was no handicapped room reserved. They give me a handicapped room but it has two full sized beds and not king size so my parents […] who are in wheelchairs had to sleep in a full sized bed rather than a king bed. There were sugar ants in one of the rooms. The hallways were sweltering hot like a sauna and the rooms were hot as well. The breakfast sucked. The swimming pool water was warm which was weird. Visiting son at Army base. Hotel very centrally located. Within 10-15 minutes of base and downtown. GREAT customer service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Upon arrival in town, I got all turned around and could not find hotel. Called hotel and manager calmly provided step by step directions to hotel. Also helped with directions onto base. Room […] is a good rate through hotels.com. Their regular rack rate is too high for the age/condition of hotel. Clean room and perfect for sleep/shower and hit the town. Overall great experience and would stay there again, mainly because I feel certain staff would help in any way needed to make stay the best. Devamı

My family and I were very disappointed with this Hotel and we will never stay at one again and we will tell everyone we know not to stay there. We were told by hotels. com that we had to pay extra money for a roll away bed and when we got to the hotel the woman working would not give us one. There were no screens on the windows so if we wanted to open […] the window the bugs could get in. The microwave didn't work. The pool and the pool area were very dirty and never saw anyone clean it, the hot tub was very, very, very dirty and ice cold, it didn't work. The lady working at the desk was very rude to my daughter, and said that even though she wasn't acting like an adult she is because she eats as much as my husband, but she is under 18 and the pamplet in the hotel room says that children 18 and under stay free with their parents, but yet she said we had to pay extra for her and my 13 year old daughter because they are adults. That's what we were told when you called the desk to tell them that the dresser drawer was broken. They said it wasn't broken, so therefore they didn't fix it. We had to use our suitcase for a drawer. If we used the dresser drawer it would have fallen out on our feet.

I did have only one issue as there was no cold water in my room they set me up in a room that was next to mine and there was also no cold water in that room so the front desk guy upgraded my room to a suite. The suite was awesome the rooms were clean the bar was great and the food was wonderful. I had a lot of fun here and I slept great. And its close […] to Fort Sam Houston. Hotel was ok. Yes it was a bit run down. Not very busy this time of year. Our room was clean but there with a strong "feet" odor. Cont. brkft was only waffles and dry cereal. Get there after 8 not much left. MUST have transportation to get anywhere. We took city bus downtown, cost $1.50. Front desk staff VERY helpful in knowing bus schedule. From airport […] to this hotel we paid $30.00 including tip. Airport shuttle was $18 one-way. Stayed at this hotel because it was the closest we could find to AT&T Center. It appears the hotel is at the end of a renovation. Looks freshly painted. The room had a musty smell and at times felt damp, maybe due to the airconditioner. All of the staff was friendly and professional. Easy access to highway, but with very little street noise on the backside of the hotel.

The location was great. It's close to downtown and all the interesting attractions. The downside is that the hotels right next door that are very comparable are around $10 cheaper per night. Another very nice thing about this hotel is that it has a convenience store right inside the lobby. It carries anything you could possibly want and the prices are […] comparable to any of the mart stores and even dollar stores. I've been in a lot of hotels, even much more expensive ones, that didn't have this feature. The hot tub is not a jacuzzi (but it is hot! very relaxing!) and it has no safety bars to help you get in and out. The pillows were awesome and there were 3 on a queen sized bed. Devamı

I do not believe they should let people stay in this hotel with all the construction going on. One side of the hotel is having sewer work done so it smells like sewer on that side of the hotel. The price was $39/night, and considering it was a Howard Johnson I thought it was a good deal. Big disappointment! The quality of the sheets and the towels was inferior to what you would find in a Motel 6. The hallways are not air conditioned (or it is insufficient), so they were at a balmy 85-90 degrees. The A/C in my room was running in fan mode […] when I got there, so the temperature was less than comfortable. That would not have been too bad except for the fact that the maid turns it off after cleaning, so every night I walked into a very hot room that takes almost two hours to reach a decent temperature. Another detail is that they took an imprint of my credit card at check-in. In my previous experiences with Hotels.com that was never necessary. He said is was for "inconsequentials". Well, if it generates a charge on my credit card, it has a consequence, doesn't it? The incident made me uneasy, and to this day I'm expecting and "inconsequential" to show up in my balance. Devamı

This hotel has a very bad odor and the ceiling on the halls had big holes with yellow stains and there were rat traps place by the bending machine in hallway very disapointed with this hotel stay do not recomend this hotel to anybody specially if you are traveling with kids..

We must have gotten a remodeled room because it was very large, very clean and very comfortable. Microwave and refrigerator were included. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The hotel says it is undergoing remodeling. Perhaps they hadn't gotten to our room yet. The carpet had wrinkles like it wasn't installed properly. Our restroom had mildew along the corners. The tiles around the faucet handle were broken. The water would stay in the bathtub while you were showering. The wall […] outside of our room had extensive water damage and was being kept up by the wallpaper. I would bet that if you were to remove it, you would would find mold. Our A/C struggled to keep our room cold given the oppressive San Antonio heat. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning staff was extremely rude. The breakfast was what you would expect, but if it is close to cut off time, forget about getting somebody to make another pot of coffee. The only positive was that the hotel is easy to get to and the front lobby staff was very nice and helpful when it came to directions. I would recommend paying an extra $10-$15 for a better hotel. Es un excelente hotel familiar de fácil acceso, el desayuno es ligero pero justo para el precio tan accesible y las instalaciones.

Esta en excelente ubicación, el personal muy amable y servicial, las instalaciónes estan en buenas condiciones, lo recomiendo ampliamente ya que su precio es muy accesible.

el hotel es modesto, pero cuenta con todos los servicios necesarios, además de que su ubicación permite estar cerca de los puntos más importantes de la ciudad.
