The location for what we needed was ideal, but the overall location was somewhat less than desirable. The front desk person was less than accommodating during the check out process & the room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like smoke. While this hotel was convenient as well as cheap, the service was bad. The only friendly person there was the manager. The lady at the front desk doesn't help much. She was huffing and puffing throughout my whole transaction. When she called to see how everything was going, I told her we needed more towels, and she told me I had to come get them. There was one guy who stood on the aisle of the rooms and overlooked the parking lot all night. I came in at 1 am and to see him standing there made me a little nervous to walk up alone. We stayed here just for one night to be close to Ronald Reagan Int'l Airport for an early morning flight. The room was non-smoking but reaked of stale smoke, numerous burn holes in the comforter and hair in the bathtub. It was adequate and the neighborhood seemed clean and safe, but we would not recommend or stay here again.

We ordered a non-smoking room and when we opened the door the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. After 1 hour we got use to the smell, but each time we entered the room, we could again smell the smoke. This hotel was very dirty, it was not safe there were people have sex with the door and curtains open so when my daughter walked by she saw all of that. they should really watch who they rent to. they were smoking weed as well as drinking rite next door. i wouldnt recommend this hotel

I was lured to this hotel by the cheap price and the location. I booked it, then read reviews that mostly agreed the hotel sucked, but I didn't think it could be that bad. Well. My room had two beds, and when I walked in, one of the beds wasn't even made. There were towels all over the room, so luckily I had brought my own because there were no clean […] ones left. I thought about calling to change rooms but I got in around 1AM and I just wanted to go to sleep. Plus I had a feeling the hotel receptionist did not give a crap about his job and so I wasn't expecting much customer service. The only good thing was that I had to be up and out of the door at 6AM the next morning so hopefully I wasn't there long enough to contract any sort of disease from my disaster of a room. There is a comfort inn also on Oxon Hill Rd, which I drove by and it looked a lot nicer. If I were you I'd pay the extra 20-30 bucks and get a room that is clean. Devamı

outside the hotel looks very nice on your page from your webside but in fact the rooms are super dirty, the bed was not it clean, do not change the sheets, the bathroom smelled very bad. a very bad EXPERIENCE

It's not bad for a 2-star. The room was clean and everything worked and it provided parking. The neighborhood is a little scary with cashiers behind bullet-proof windows in gas stations and people telling the "i need money to go back home" story when you stop for gas or a bottle of water. It is also not conveniently situation for a quick train ride […] to DC. But it's good value for money compared to the hotels in DC if you only need a place to rest your head. Devamı

I absolutely loved this hotel its in a nice location just off of a main street there are also lots of store and restaurants near by. I give this store an A...Keep up the good work.

The only complaints I would have is the lack of ease in using the room as a "office" when neccessary. It would be nice to have a small desk area. The room had a somewhat musty odor. The service was fine and the hotel was quiet.

my hotel stay there is always good. i mean to just rest ur head, but if kids and family there no pool but lots of places around the area too eat. i like it there

We stay 6 nights at this hotel. The last night they did not bother cleaning our room. Bad service.

We checked in at 11pm Monday night...Tuesday morning front desk calls at 8am and asks if we want Housekeeping today...we say "no, not today". We were there until Saturday morning and NOT 1 time did they come in to collect towels, sweep, take out trash...NOTHING!!! We had to go get our own towels each day. The location of the hotel makes it convinient for people that will visit Washington DC. The neighboorhood is not the best, there are even instructions on how to be secure in your room. To begin with...three incidents occured before i even entered the room. When i walked into the office there was a older gentleman who had already gotten his room but i assumed it was missing the iron, because he returned to the office to get one. The man that was working there seemed very distracted and spoke in a very low and monotone level so the […] guest had to repetedly ask him what he was saying. When the worker went to retrieve the iron he placed it in the pass-thru and shut the window before the guest was able to completely remove it, therefore smashing his fingers in the window. When i got to the window, i confirmed the reservation with the worker and he then proceeded to complete our transaction. When he gave me my room key -which was to room 335, i took the stairs in anticipation to finally relax since i had driven from Springfield, Il. When i got to the door, i first noticed that the curtains were pulled fully shut. Which i know from experience, most hotels usually have the vacant rooms curtains partly open. But just a second later i was distracted by another female guest who was yelling and screaming complaining about the fact that the key she was issued would not unlock her door. So i proceeded to enter my room and when i opened the door...i had company! Apparently the room that was issued to me, was already issued to someone else...so i had the pleasure of walking in on two MEN...engaging in adult activity! At this point i wanted a refund and was gonna leave but i was extremely tired and just wanted to go to sleep. So i walked back down all three flights of stairs with my luggage and went back to the office. By the time i got back, the clerk had realized his mistake and proceeded to assign another room to me. And at NO point during this time did he apologize or offer anything to settle my extreme disappointment. The hotel was decent. We only needed a bed for the night. There were no specail amenities, which was fine. The only reason that I gave this hotel a "3" rating was due to the unfriendliness of the hotel clerk. We arrived a little after 9 pm and the lobby door was already closed for the night. We needed a cheap hotel near the Reagan National airport. We were in the hotel a total of 7 hours so it suited its purpose. DC area is expensive so this hotel was a good deal but you get what you pay for.

The neighborhood was kinda freaky, but all the hotels closer to DC were filled and or expensive. Found this one at a great price considering the short 20 minute drive to all the historic attraction. My sons and I stayed three nights. The only problems with the room were a bent bathroom door knob and broken toilet flush handle, but we made it work. I […] was kinda worried after driving through the less-than-desireable neighborhood getting to this hotel, but once there, it felt safe and far enough off the main road. Overall, we were happy to find this place for such a good price, well within our vacation budget. loved it very much i will be back

The room was actually quite comfortable but a couple of things requiring attention appeared to have been neglected. The curtain had a large hole in it and the door appeared to have been kicked in in the past resulting in a large gap at the bottom. The reception could use an overhaul. For the price though I would recommend to any one on a budget.

my husband and i enjoyed our stay. Across the way is a nice plaza, with a movie theater, a few restaurants and little stores. and is about 20 minutes from downtown washington. We will be returning. The only problem was our first room thee remote control didnt work, and we ended up changing rooms. other then that it was not a problem.

The hotel has a little sign out front passed by it , needs a bigger sign, it is over priced for what it has, would be a nice hotel for about $50 -$60 for a quick get away.

...and you have nowhere else to stay, do so. This hotel has a feel of run down old type Motel6. New Motel 6s are decent, this Red Roof Inn not so much. Two stink bugs on the furnace. Crappy bed. I slept fully clothes with lights on, just in case there are more bugs around. It was well below my comfort limits! I hope I can find better for that price […] or rather pay bit extra. Was 1/3 of the price of the hotels at the Gaylord/surrounding area. Not fancy and some "ghetto noise" until 11pm, but not a bad spot to stay if you can deal with no frills. Scott

The Red Roof Inn was ok. The service and the room was very nice for the money. The only complaint was from the communication from either the hotel or Hotels.com itself. When I made a reservation online at hotels.com I thought everything was taken care of. When I finally got to the hotel they looked into the computer and said that there was no reservation […] made even when I showed them on paper. I didn't know what the problem was but I had to pay AGAIN. Lucky there was a room available or could have been in trouble. When I got back home I called hotels.com back and eventually the lady is going to return my money. This happened more than one time so I think hotels.com should make sure the hotel has the reservation on file before hanging up the phone with the customer. I could have easily been without a room. And I had to pay a different rate than what was advertised. So it's a communication problem that the customer has to pay for. Devamı

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

C entrally located in Maryland with shopping all around. Discounted rate made it more appealing. However would not pay moderate to high rate for accomondations. Staff was friendly and helpfull for directions and information for local area. Would recommend to others with above insights.

If you plan to visit DC, you might want to consider this hotel. Facility is generally OK however, they only served free flowing coffee for breakfast. As for the location, its in Maryland (just outside DC). It will cost you around $35 dollars going to the Reagan airport or to the downtown (WH or W Monument) for a taxi ride. You can also take a bus ride […] going to suitland Metro Station for $2 and then train fare (1 transfer on the central stn with color coded routes green and red) worth $7.85 duringf peak hours).
