They charge you $55 for parking. They charge for executive happy hour drinks and the stay ends up being way more expensive

Loved the hotel and lounge. Also enjoyed the staff. The only drawback was the loudspeaker noise that came on every morning at 7:00 outside of the hotel. It was so obnoxious that I wouldn't want to go back again

My overall stay at this hotel was good. It would've been great if we didn't get last pick on the rooms. Our room was designed for a person with a disability. The restroom was not good because I had got stuck inside. The sliding door got stuck and wouldn't open. I was stuck trying to pry the door open for at least 15 minutes. I had to yell for my husband […] to open the door. I would feel bad for any person with a disability that could get stuck in there. They would be stuck for a longer time. For the rest of the night, I had to keep the restroom door open which was very uncomfortable. The rest of the stay,was good. I would stay here again if there is more choices on rooms. Devamı

Best location near Union Square. Good service, friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever. I'll pick this hotel again.

Went here with my wife for New Years - not a bad hotel for the area, probably the best choice in the Union Square area based on our criteria for view, distance and availability of parking. Regarding parking, Hotels.com got it wrong - there is no self parking available, only valet.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!! Perfect location, CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL!! Service was EXCELLENT, too! I highly recommend it to anyone...the beds were SUPERB!

Great location, very clean. Parking is a little expensive, but we got to park till five the following day after check-in. We were able to check in early. The one thing that wasn't so great when checking in, clerk tried to charge 75.00 more for two double beds. I had originally paid more on hotels.com for this arrangement. Went for a weekend of xmas shopping with my daughter and the hotel was close to union square so that we could walk/shop all day long. Great service, but hotel parking a little expensive. I would suggest upper rooms for great city views. Only problem we had was with hotel.com not booking correctly and had to wait an hour at front desk upon check in […] to get it resolved...very frustrating. Devamı

This hotel stay was excellent. When you pull up to the hotel, you are greeted as they open the doors for you and take all of your luggage up to the room. Every member of the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The check in process was so short and simple, allowing us to get up to our room. The hotel is extremely clean and well laid out. The hotel was in a very convenient location. Walking distance to Powell Street Cable cars, Union Square and Chinatown. The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending the best ways to get to each place we wanted to visit via walking and public transit (we did not have a car) and also in getting us a cab to the airport. The room was very clean, […] and the beds were extremely comfortable. The only real complaint I have is that the air conditioning doesn't blow very hard, so the room stayed stuffy. The windows open, which helps, but we couldn't sleep with them open due to street noise. So it was quite warm/stuffy overnight. We had maintenance come check our a/c unit because we actually thought it wasn't working at all and he said it is a common complaint they get. But he was very nice and he was up to our room within 5 minutes of us placing the call. When I was reading other reviews trying to make a decision on where to stay, we saw lots of people mention safety and noise levels. We were a group of girls traveling for a girls weekend and we felt very safe walking around the vicinity of the hotel at night. As far as street noise: we were on the 14th floor and if our window was open it was noisy, but with the windows closed it was not noisy at all. And the hotel walls must be very thick because we never heard a single sound from another room or the hallway. If you are a light sleeper, request an upper floor room just in case. This hotel was 1 block from Union Square where you could go shopping, catch the hop on hop off bus or take the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf. Restaurants and diners where nearby. A good hotel with a comfortablequiet room on the 20th floor.

as always, we have enjoyed our stay with the J.W. Marriott...It is sophisticated and well located and with excellent service..not one complaint.. oh yes, the toilet paper is kind of cheap....

I stayed several times for business and leisure at the JW Marriott Hotel in SFO and must say its always been a pleasure. The hotel is only 1 block away from Union Square, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice & clean.

As an artist, I'm so appreciative of exquisite beauty around me - what a lovely surprise this hotel is! The service is tops. Can't wait to return! This is my new favorite hotel in San Francisco ! ! !

Hotel is close to all the downtown sights and conveniently located near public transportation to both the sights and airport.

The rooms were nice and the front desk associates were quite pleasant. I wasn't thrilled about the following two things, but no reason not to stay here. 1. There was a $12 charge for internet and it wasn't a rolling 24 hours. 2. The bellman/valet person who was supposed to help with bags and getting cabs wasn't very helpful. I am part of a marriott family. Meaning that we own that shared vacation pacage or I dont know how to call it. Marriott hotels and specially JW marriotts are nice, clean, profesional and lets just say the top of the line hotels when it comes to Marriott. However I am sorry to say, that this JW is not worth my points, my money or any of them certificates […] we get as marriotts rewards program. Location is good, but there is another marriot not JW just a block away for half the price. Internet is not included in the room, service itself is bellow standard for a 5 star hotel and guest treatment is pretty much the same as if you stayed on a motel. This hotel is bar far the worst marriott experience I have ever had1 Even the french have better service jaja Im sorry to review a marriott this way but it is the way it is. Devamı

Room nice and clean, but shower didn't drain very well, as I was standing in about 3 inches of water. Convenient location to shopping.

Excellent location. The staff was great from checkin, bartenders, room service. The guys out front were friendly, always with a hello and smile. Very comfortable room.

lighting was a bit dark, poor water pressure (had to be moved to a different room due to drainage problems; new room also had poor water pressure). Other than that, hotel was clean and the service was on point.

Overall this was a comfortable, convenient place to stay for the rate we paid for the room. There were some highlights: we were pleased with the concierge's recommendations for an after-theater dinner at nearby Scala's Bistro, and an upscale breakfast at artsy Grand Cafe in a nearby hotel. The JW Marriott's car entrance is from Mason Street, not Post. […] The biggest unpleasant surprise was that the hotel facade is obscured by scaffolding, and one of the hotel's four elevators was inoperable. We had to squeeze past warning cones and sheets of black plastic taped over the elevator door to get to the call button panel and take an elevator to the lobby area. There was a short wait to check in. In our "Luxury" room, we found water running in the toilet tank - and jiggling the water buoy didn't stop it. We called the front desk, and the problem was fixed when we returned from the theater after midnight. We would have taken a taxi to the Golden Gate Theater, but the hotel's bellman was unable to secure one quickly, so we walked (trotted) instead and made it to our seats with 5 minutes to spare. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had only a small shower (not a tub), but it was perfectly adequate. I liked the weight scale under the sink; it registered 5 pounds lighter than my scale at home. We checked out after one night and left our bags with the bellman while we attended a performance at ACT. That theater is less than a block away, so the hotel is very convenient to the theater and shopping at Union Square. We returned at 4:30 p.m. to depart, and found only one attendant each for the bell staff closet and valet parking. There was a good 10-minute wait to get our bags and have our car brought round from the parking garage. Overall the room was comfortable and the service was friendly and well-intentioned, if a little inadequate. I reserved 2 rooms for a group of us; both rooms were supposed to have "city views." One room had an excellent view of the city, while the other room's view was half obstructed by the adjacent building. That is my only complaint. We recieved friendly prompt service when it was needed. Rooms were comfortable with very nice bathrooms. Great location!!! […] Some construction on the facade, didn't bother us. Devamı

Right outside the door is everything we came to see in San Fran. 2 blocks from union square. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was clean and updated, nice lobby and bar. I would recommend this hotel to all, and I will be back here to stay myself.
