Older hotel but clean. Surrounding neighborhood a little shady. Locals say this part of town isn't the best - probably due to proximity of I-5. Room was very clean and comfortable and for the price plenty nice if intention isn't too spend a lot of time in the room. Lighting in the bathroom was a little annoying - not bright enough. This was a very basic budget-friendly motel. The staff was great. The bathroom lock didn't work and we had some trouble with our key cards. Otherwise, the motel was clean and met our needs.

The location was very convienient to the WWU campus. The staff was very helpfuf and courteous. The room was large and was as comfortable would be expected within this price range. I will stay here again.

My girlfriend & I needed to get away from her adult children. We needed an area where we could walk around or be comfy, cosy in the room and do nothing but watch television. Everything in the room was comfortable, warm, and relaxing.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I can't say enough good things about the staff! They are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The continental breakfast was always stocked with lots of variety. The room had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is close to many restaurants and is in a nice location. […] Great value, great service - thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back. We stayed overnight on our way from Vancouver BC to Portland. The hotel is super clean. The beds were comfortable with tons of pillows. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, which was very handy. My partner and I hung out in the breakfast/lounge areas in the am, enjoying coffee etc, watching TV and reading magazines. Very pleasant. For […] breakfast they had muffins, cereal, bagels, boiled eggs, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice etc. I am a healthy eater, so I was able to enjoy fruit and a couple of boiled eggs. Booked a room with 2 queen beds. When I called to say I would be checking in late I was told the room would be a King and a roll-away as there were no rooms with 2 queens left. Since it was too late to book anything else we went with it but it wasn't what I wanted or paid for! The hotel and room itself were great. The room was very clean and they bumped us up to an executive suite which was nice a big. However, the air conditioning in our room, and apparently other rooms, was broken. We didn't find out until we were trying to go to sleep and were freezing to death. The beds didn't have comforters either. My friend eventually […] went down to the desk once it was clear our thermostat wasn't doing anything, and they gave us additional blankets. We paid only $64 a night for a place to rest while we skiied at Mount Baker. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was basic (Cereal, toast, pastries).They really should replace their carpet. Although clean, it is worn and has that old carpet smell. discriminating wife liked the bed. Maintenance fixed a couple of minor furniture issues instantly. They were out of little shampoos, but we always carry some in our luggage...

The hotel advertised that they'd provide free WiFi internet service and the front desk lady said that no password was needed. There was NO internet service. If you're a senior, please not the hotel has NO elevator. The house next to the hotel had domestic issues as the couple argued loudly. I will not stay here again. OK hotel for the price. It is an older hotel, but the rooms were clean. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room, so it was satisfactory for our needs. If you want all the bells and whitles, this would not be the hotel for you. If you just need a nice place to sleep, it will work.

Just a decent, clean place with free wifi and free (very basic) breakfast. A reasonably priced place to rest your head, but that's about it. There are no fancy hotels in Bellingham, but this place is reasonably priced and clean enough. There are no movies available in the hotel room.

great continental breakfast..goodie bags with water, fruit and muffin/bagel for on the road. Excellent service..will be back next year again for Black Friday shopping

We weren't expecting fancy, and it wasn't which was fine, but it was REALLY cold, had to wait half an hour under covers to heat room up. Staff was very helpful and friendly though. I think they might have raised regular prices for Black Friday, because if it were cheaper it would be more worth the lower comfort level.

We stayed here while visiting my brother at WWU. This was one of the most inexpensive hotels with the highest ratings. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The attendants were friendly. The continental breakfast was decent but nothing special. Its not a Double Tree or anything, but your definitely not paying Double Tree price. For the long Thanksgiving drive - we used this place to stay so we could enjoy the visit/dinner with family. Nice location, ok rooms, cold continental breakfast, friendly staff at the desk, but the place itself could use a deep cleaning. We will use Days Inn again as the price, location, and such meet our needs.

I was not sure what to expect after reading all the negitive coments, but found it was a good place to stay. The staff was very helpfull the room was clean and it was very quiet. The thermastat didn't work very well but over all I would have no problem going back. There was a very good Thai restarunt next to the motel and other places to dine. We were looking for an inexpensive room for one night and for what we paid, we were satisfied with the room. The bed was comfortable and it was really nice - as the parents of a new baby - to have the microwave and the fridge in the room. That's not an amenity you often see in a budget hotel. The service at the front desk was very good, we were checked […] in quickly and our requests were accommodated. The hotel itself seemed a little run down. It's an older building and you can see evidence of that in the hallways and the plumbing fixtures, The carpet was worn and the shower gave cold water for about 15 seconds every 2 minutes. The room was very clean. Overall, we got exactly what we were looking for - an inexpensive place to sleep for a night. As long as the bed is comfortable and the room is clean, we're happy. A room for 5 people but a toilet that did not work properly. Breakfast was good but ate standing up or sitting on the floor because the people at the tables were finished eating but sat there the whole time visiting. Perhaps this can be changed for those who are eating.

The guest room itself was beautiful. The Hotel outside was not very appealing. We were greeted by a young girl in jeans and a t- shirt who did not appear to have much knowledge. The hall carpets were dirty and there was an odor that I can't describe. In the morning there were 2 clerks at the front wearing slacks and company shirts bearing the Day' Inn […] logo. Which was nice. The Deluxe Contintental Breakfast consisted of bagels, muffins, toast, cereal and boiled eggs with the shells removed - that's unsanitary to me.
