I loved the location, very easy to get around the city and the colossem is right on your door. Having booked a single room I was not expecting too much, however, on arriving at the hotel the room I was allocated was tiny and very hot. On seeing my disappointment, the hotel staff offered to change the room. I was then shown to a different, slightly larger, much cooler and altogether nicer room. Now I know that this hotel is being updated at the moment so when those renovations are complete the hotel really could be superb! The hotel is in a good location near the Colliseum and there are a few nice restaurants near by, the pool on the roof is very nice and the outside bar area is also very nice if a little expensive. There is so much to see and do in Rome, you don't spend much time in your hotel room. This hotel offered basic ammenities for a traveling tourist. The front desk service was great, the location is a 2-3 minute walk to the Colosseum, and a 10 minute walk to the Red line Metro (subway). However, the rooms did not offer a dead-bolt on the door, the ventilation/AC […] did not work, the internet WiFI was spotty, and the shower was very cramped for a 6' male. I didn't travel to Rome for the hotels--I went for the sights. The rate at this hotel worked with my budget, but I may look at other options next time I am fortunate enough to visit this city. The staff was great, location was perfect! The room is not the most clean. The bedding was good but the floor was a bit nasty and the bathroom tub did not looked too clean. The towels had stains. But overall for the value and location, well worth it!

This is a really nice hotel very near most of the historical sites. The staff were absolutely superb and sorted a number of problems for us. The taxis they booked were the cheapest around, for example. Oh and it has a really nice bar/restaurant.

Great location in the city. Very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms on the small side but has all the comforts required. Make sure breakfast is included in your package as it's not worth 15Euro per person.Highly Recommended hotel. Note that this hotel falls outside the 40Euro flat rate for taxi's from the airport.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. The Colosseum is at your door as is the Roman Forum and easy access to downtown. Good metro and bus transport is also handy. Check-in was a little complicated as the hotel did not have my Expedia record, but that was sorted after about 20 minutes. The hotel is probably built in the 1980s and is in need of some […] renovation. My room was "double superior" only because it had a view of the Colosseum. There was an unfortunate concrete pillar at the end of the bed (holding the roof up no doubt) and a rather small bathroom compared to other hotels in Rome. The carpet and other fittings were in need of replacement. I was there in November and the much talked about roof terrace (with view) was closed - so I never saw it. On balance, this hotel is OK primarily because of its location. If this is not so important then other hotels probably have better and newer amenities. Devamı

Our room had a great veiw of the coloseum. The red or blue line metro was about a 10 min walk. Right next door to the hotel was a great place for coffee, pastrys or gelato. This hotel sits away from all the crazy busy tourist spots, so it had more of a neighborhood feel to it, which I liked. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The Mercure Delta Colosseo. It was a really nice hotel, however it just didnt have anything to make me say wow. When we first got there, we had the tiniest room. I was there for my girlfriends birthday and when I told the staff this and asked for an upgrade, they did do that for us, however there was a slight grumble. We were there for 6 days. The room […] we got moved to was really nice, however it had a shared balcony which we were apprehensive of using due to the lack of privacy. If you are looking for breakfast I wouldn't recommend the extortion from the hotel. there is a nice place just next to the hotel up the Labicana away from the colosseum that sells amazing fresh croissants at a euro each. Also, make sure you don't leave your towels in the bath expecting fresh ones, if you are there for more than a night, you will get the same towels and bedding for the duration of your stay. This hotel is only in a good position, as for the hotel is dirty, the carpet going to the first floor so dirty and the corridor small so bad, however in side de room, the room was ok but the hotel require some maintenance as I cannot say is dirt for one day. Having read reviews from others who had stayed at this hotel i was slightly dissapointed in that our group of 12 had all upgraded to superior rooms and found a mismatch of different rooms, all had a view of colosseum but most were very small. The staff at the hotel were OK, a bit snappy at times if you couldn't understand what they where saying. I had to iron my tops and pants in the reception area as this is the only was you can iron clothes. Number one it's humiliating and number two the ironing board and iron were like something out of the Flintstones. For a branded hotel and worldwide […] company it's shocking that this hotel is a 4 star. The location is not the best as most restaurants, bars and sightseeing are in central Rome area. I'd highly recommend booking your hotel there than in the Ancient Coty were this one is. Ok the coliseum is just a 2 minute walk and the Roman forum is behind that, if this is all you’re in Rome to see and do and are not after anything special then this is your hotel. If you're going to propose to your girlfriend and have a great time like I did, then do not book this hotel. The Hotel Mercure Delta Colosseo was very comfortable and within a three minute walk to the Coloseum and Metro station. The rooms were very comfortable, some smaller that others. The Mercure Delta Colosseo was an surprising good experience for us. We had wieved the rating before our visit, but were very pleased. Nice hotel and super location. Modern, Efficient, Less than 200m from the Coilsium if your in Rome to walk the ideal base, no resturant but theres more places to eat in the area than you could try in a month and the Pool and roof bar add the right touch with great views

Hotel location was perfect, however that was all that was impressive about it. As soon as I and my partner arrived we were sneered at and were asked if we were sure we were in the correct hotel (I am 18, my partner is 21) The staff were unhelpful and rude, after we checked in I went down to ask a question and I was shooed away by the staff who said […] they were busy, despite the fact there was no one else being checked in or seen to at the time. The pool isn't really a pool, more a large bath about 3mx6m and the sun loungers are few and far between, when I walked past the reception later I saw a family with young kids asking if they had any more sun loungers and they too were sneered away. I know this hotel claims it has business facilities but it's hardly fun to be ignored on your holiday because you aren't business class and you aren't paying 24euors (yes 24 euros) for a full breakfast every morning. I think if you don't need a pool for your holiday, book somewhere else, there are other hotels just as central as this one and with far nicer staff (we had lunch in one of the other hotels where the staff weren't put off by our age as they understood we were in Rome to buy what we required for the holiday) Devamı

We have just returned from honeymoon at the Mercure Delta Colosseo hotel in Rome. Whilst the room we were allocated was smaller than the rooms shown on the website, the service received, the location, the rooftop pool and terrace bar more than made up for it. The hotel is less than 200 metres away from the Colloseum, about 20-30 minutes walk from the […] Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish steps so the location couldn't be better. The pool was a godsend after spending the morning/early afternoon exploring, we spent a couple of hours each day recharging our batteries by the pool and cooling down in the refreshing water A fantastic hotel and I would definitely return. Dont know how this hotel has a 2 review score. It is much better then that, the rooms were stock standard, nothing special, but did the job considering you are not even there half the time. Free internet cards, staff spoke english, right outside the Colosseum, great place!

Basically the staff doesn't care if you're happy or not, or even if you have air conditioning or anything else they promise you on the web site. Not worth the location to deal with the hassles and staff. lots of other hotels near by that met expectations of service.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Mercure. The location was perfect for accessing ancient Rome and we got to walk by the Coloseum every day. The neighborhood bars and restaurants were much friendlier and more reasonably priced than on the other side of the city. The rooftop pool was heaven at the end of a hot day and the bar peaceful and quiet.

Amazing view from our 6th floor hotel room (room number 604). Beautiful roof top terrace area, very close to colloseum and walking distance to all other sites (except vatican which is other side of river...we took a taxi there which only cost 15 euro!) Very helpful and happy staff. Lovely resturants very close by. Sure the air con, despite making a […] fair amount of noise, didn't actually work that well and the room wasn't exactly large but the view from our window more than accounted for that. Yes the hotel is close to the historical area, but that all it has going for it. The rooms are very small and the showers are tiny. Hotel looks dated and needs a makeover. Pool and bar are the only good thing about this place. Had problems with the air conditioner and they solved it by bring a fan to the room. Hotel was 5 minutes stroll from Collessum, nice very rooftop bar next to swimming pool. Hotel clean and tidy although downstairs bar didn't appear to be open. Staff understood English well and helpful. Would recommend hotel for young couples who are happy to explore Rome on foot or via tourist buses.

Real good location to the Colosseum, but hotel needs to be updated. My single bed room on the 2nd floor was a non-smoking room but smelled to high heaven of smoke and must. Air conditioner could not be adjusted, nasty stains on the floor, bathroom shower curtain was messed up, all the water from the shower was leaking onto the bathroom floor. Not able […] to give me ice to chill a bottle of wine. If you have a rental car, do not use the parking garage, find free parking on the next street a block to the northwest. We found this to be a pleasant, compact and very well located hotel, with friendly approachable staff. We stayed for five nights from mid-May and were thrilled to find the roof pool was open - it was great to use and the views are superb. Sadly, no-one told us the roof bar stayed open after the pool closed, so we missed the elevated night views of the […] Colosseum. Note: Only the right hand lift goes to the roof in the evening. The room was comfortably OK although warm even with aircon on. We are not large but our shower cubicle was incredibly small, although the water was hot. After a couple of days, we did find the buffet breakfast monotonous - but we were glad it was included in our booking; it could really do with a few tweaks such as serving freshly sliced tomatoes and baked beans. The hotel is very well located, near the Colosseum and its underground station, the building looks superb, the staff are professional and helpful and speak several languages, and the reception is located to one side of the entrance so it gives you that extra privacy. The pool terrace and bar are small, but it has a nice view (shame the pool does not […] open until May). However, the single room I was offered was not up to the standards you would expect from a 4* hotel: the room was small, the shower was really claustrophobic and I kept banging the wall and window while showering, and I had to bang the main door as it wouldn't shut properly. Also, the AC did not seem to work properly. Water is offered for free, but there is nothing else on the mini-bar: you have to order it and everything is overpriced and the food is not nice at all, any local cafeteria will offer you better quality and cheaper prices (just avoid the touristy quiosks). Also, when I checked out the room I realised I was charged in pounds, the receptionist didn't ask me if I wanted to be charged in euros or pounds, which really makes a difference depending on the card you use, but I didn't realise until I had left the hotel (I guess it is more benefitial for them to charge in pounds, so they get the commission, and therefore they avoid asking). Double rooms are probably better kept than single rooms, so I found it overpriced for me, I would rate it as a 3* rather than 4* Devamı

Though my one person room was extremely small the location was great. the shower was also very small which was the only thing i was a little disappointed with but it wasnt so small that i couldnt still enjoy my shower. after reading some of the other reviews, this hotel was better than i had been expecting.

Overall we were very happy with the hotel. There were a few drawbacks, as in a bad odor coming from the drains, but I've noticed this in other hotels too...venting the windows took care of this immediately. Only other issue was the carpet was rather worn and dirty. We liked the area for its convenience to public transportation. Metro stop is right by […] the Colosseum at the end of the street. Street car #3 stops just in front of the hotel...take this in the direction of the Colosseum and it will eventually take you to Trastevere a nice neighborhood where I got one of the best chicken kebab pitas that I've had yet in Europe! Also, there is a nice little neighborhood across the street with lots of restaurants and shops including a small grocery about 3 blocks distant. A small cafe opposite the church on the other side of the street offers a cafe latte for 1 euro if youre standing at the bar...a good deal!!! The church across from the hotel is interesting as it has access to medieval crypts and an ancient Roman Mythraic cult site. We did not eat in the hotel and though the breakfast buffet looked good, the 15 euro price was way too steep to justify it,,, The bar was typical of a hotel of this type with average prices...a better deal was taking a bottle of port from the grocery to the roof/pool deck and watching the sun set in the direction of the Colosseum! : ) ONE IMPORTANT THING!!
