The Inn on the River - Pigeon Forge

The Inn on the River has a proud and competent staff and clean rooms. The complimentary breakfast and wi-fi, along with reasonable rates and good location on the river was just what we needed. However, I worry about all hotel properties and attractions on Pigeon Forge's main drag, Parkway, due to a cultural phenomenon. For some reason, at least on weekend […] nights, young people, perhaps from nearby Knoxville, choose to come south on Parkway and "cruise". Open pickups, open car windows, stereos and engines blaring, these young folks are yelling, flirting, exchanging obscenities and reducing the already congested traffic to a snail's pace. It didn't ruin our stay, and had nothing to do with our fine experience at Inn on the River, but these people are obviously not there to spend money on the attractions and may send others away, never to return. This was our second stay at The Inn. We enjoy being close to the river and also the convenience of the location. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly.

A family member reccomended The Inn a few years ago and now we have stayed there several times. The hotel is well located, up to date, clean and for the most part quiet. The free breakfast is super convenient when trying to get your day moving quickly. We prefer PF to the GB scene. PF is growing faster than you could imagine and in fact we spend most […] of our time there as compared to GB. We went zip lining and drove ATV's this trip and both activities were a blast. Each activities location was within aproximately 20 minutes of the hotel so it couldn't have been easier! The Inn on the river was nice for the price. I was a little disappointed because I thought I had booked a suite but got a regular room and also had a room without a balcony. However, we stayed so busy it didn't matter. Would stay there again. Kids liked the free popcorn and access to rhe river and the indoor and outdoor pools.

The absolute best place I have ever stayed. Will be returning. Very clean and very extremely nice.

I've never had such a huge problem with hallway noise while trying to sleep. I did have a room close to the indoor pool, but this was well after the pool closed. Other than that the room and service were more than adequate.

The hotel itself was very clean, our room was very clean, but when I gave my son a bath I noticed a broken fake fingernail and some yuckiness next to the toilet that was missed. Other than that, very, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the view was nice. Close to everything.

The service and hospitality were exceptional. Out of all the hotels I have stayed, the service here was the indeed the best. The complimentary breakfast was great. Very,very, very friendly staff!!!!! However, there was a dirty ring at the bottom of tub, the beds were squeaky, and the toilet had problems flushing. When the toilet problem was reported, […] the staff quickly resolved the issue. I only have a few complaints about this hotel. Well only one actually. The temperature of the indoor pool is unbearable. We stayed there a couple of years ago and again recently. Our small daughter insisted we swim during both stays but we could barely tolerate the cold water.

We were very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of our room. The bed was never made or sheets changed and the towels and wash clothes were not changed out. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, we were given a $15.00 per night off next stay. We would not stay at this hotel again. We were NOT looking for anything to be given or done for us but we were […] not prepared for the maid to justify why she did not clean our room. We visit Pigeon Forge at least 2-3 times a year and we would never choose this hotel again. . We travel quit frequently and have never stayed in a hotel that at least the bed was made, this includes hotels in 3rd world countries that we have visited. Devamı

Inn on River was very nice and in a perfect location. We were able to avoid a lot of the Gatlinburg traffic. We enjoyed the free breakfast as well as playing checkers in the lobby in front of a beautiful stone fireplace.

This is the only hotel my family and I stay at in Pigeon Forge. It is extremely clean, the beds are very comfortable, there is a super nice staff and it's very convenient to the surrounding attractions. Popcorn and fruit at night and a great breakfast. As long as they are there we will continue to stay there. We use it as our getaway hotel on short […] breaks and a place to rest in between when traveling north to see family. The price was so right (make sure to use hotel.com) the breakfast was wonderful. The pictures are actually the pictures of the hotel and what you see IS what you get! They forgot to put a new tissue box in the bathroom but I am sure that if we had asked they would have brought one to us quickly as everything was great. The Inn on the River was in the middle of Pigeon Forge and was very clean and comfortable. My husband has been working in Virginia and we live in Birmingham, AL so that was a meeting place to celebrate our Valentines Day and coming up Anniversary. The price was very reasonable also. Thanks for your hospitality,

We usually stay in a cabin when we go to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, but we decided to try the Inn on the River this time because of the great low rates and because we could get a room with a balcony over the river. It was fantastic! I was so impressed with the friendly staff and beautful and clean room. The full hot breakfast every morning was amazing […] and they offered popcorn in the evenings in the lobby. The staff and customer service is excellent. Due to our early arrival we were initially unable to check in, since house keeping had yet to clean the rooms. After we went to a local restaurant for breakfast and a brief tour of the area, we were able to check in and freshen up before we enjoyed the area. Gatlinburg and Cades Cove are a short, scenic drive […] away. The hotel is very clean and accomodating for a couple and has amenities for a great family getaway, as well... The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the Smokies, restaraunts and shopping. My only criticism was a stiff mattress but the pillows were very fluffy. The January price was great.

This hotel appeared to be in the middle of a remodel so I will not harshly judge. The heating unit was noisy, but overall not a bad place to stay. My father became ill while we stayed at the hotel so I went to the dining area where I spoke to a lady cleaning up the breakfast area to ask for some juice for my father. I was told that breakfast was over […] and I would need to go get something from the vending machine. I then went to the front desk to inquire on a hospital for us to take him and to advise them what I was told when I asked for a glass of juice for my father and she apologized and got me the juice. The staff was great, rooms were nice, bathroom was a little small but newly redone. Breakfast was good and kept fresh lots to choose from. Would stay again anytime I am in Piegon Forge.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Not only were the rooms clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful plus, the free breaksfast far beyond what I expected.

The best part of the hotel is the free breakfast and the location. The appearance, front desk service and room decor were blah, blah, blah! I don't think the hotel has been updated since the 80's, but that's just me. There's a Mellow Mushroom across the street and it's brand new. There are various wineries and attractions close by. Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was incredibly friendly and the hotel was clean, comfortable and very affordable.

We still can't believe what a great hotel this was for the price! Great bathrooms, very clean linens/bedding, nice indoor pool, fantastic complimentary breakfast! Perfect for an affordable family stay. We will definitely be staying here again. Very satisfied!

Nice place for the price...have stayed in much worse for more money. Would stay again except I don't care for Pigeon Forge. Too busy.

Upon arrival, they had overbooked our type of room so they upgraded us to the jacuzzi suite. That was awesome. They also gave us coupons for surrounding resturants and shows. The room was nice but the pillows were pretty bad. The tub and jacuzzi could have been cleaner. The breakfast was good and included bisuits and gravy, sausage, eggs and waffles. […] It was quiet and close to all of the attractions. The indoor pool room stung your eyes even from outside with chlorine. We would stay here again and I recommend it! Devamı

we picked this hotel on a whim and was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Great location to food and activities. Staff was amazing. Rooms were super clean. Our 7 yr old loved the pool! We will definitely be back!!

The bottom of the tub near the drain was stained black - looked like mildew but I don't think it was. Room was comfortable. Location is great - near several attractions, shopping and restaurants. Trolley was a short distance away. The omelot station that was suppose to be available on weekends was not there. Breakfast was hot and you could make waffles […] every day. Note - refrigerator in room is plugged into the outlet that is for the light switch as you enter. If you turn the light off with the light switch, the refrigerator also goes off. Leave the light switch on and turn the light off at its base. Devamı
