Check in & check out could have been smoother. Bad experience @ The Kitchen @ the egg section. Cook can't be botered with my request.

The staff was most friendly and helpful . Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the room. On the second of our 3 night stay, we found a bedbug in our bed which had fed itself to its fullest with me being the victim. On the third afternoon, the air on was leaking real bad and call to maintenance did not lead to any remedial actions for more than […] 30mins till I had to inform the reception personally. The hotel was nice and clean but there were almost no sun on the pool area since the pool is behind the hotel. Also they charge 58 RM for 24 hours of Wifi which is simply too much! My suggestion is to go across the street to Starbucks for their free Wifi.

Meliã is a great hotel - it's literally at the front step of the Imbi monorail station, across the road from Bejaya Times Square (which is huge!) and a 5 minutes stroll the the shopping paradise of Bukit Bintang. Room-wise the hotel couldn't be faulted either. I had the standard room, and it was spacious, with a couch and flat screen tv with a decent […] amount of channels. Every morning housekeeping provides daily newspaper as well. The room was clean and bathroom amenities were all present; bathtub was clean too and the king size bed was very comfy. I also asked for a slightly later checkout (the standard checkout time was 11am) and I was told I could check out at 12 instead, so that was nice. Overall I had an enjoyable time at the Meliã KL. We stayed at the Melia Hotel in central Kuala Lumpur for 4 nights, in 2 adjoining premier rooms. The location was excellent, with a monorail stop next door, and the largest shopping mall and food hall in KL directly across the road. Nice size room and clean. Condition of bath and toilet a bit run down and small. The room I got has a nice view... Good location to shopping ... The piano bar need improvement, no music and no one play It.? Cheers,

I am very annoyed with the check in system in which debit card is not accepted. I offer to have my deposit to be made through my debit card but they insist cash or credit card. I am confused what is the different with paying through debit card as it is cash deduction direct from my bank account? And they wont even willing to complete my check in until […] they receive full amount of the deposit, not even if I offer them partial (all my available cash) and return later after going to ATM. My intention is to have my family checking into rooms instead having to wait at the lobby in which they have been waiting for more than 30min because of lond queue at that peak hour. Some more, I had PREPAID the room charges in full. I have to go to the ATM, return and back into the queue for another 15min. If they are not willing to put their trust into the guests then i dont think it worth for me to even consider their hotel in future. Devamı

The porter and Bellman are pretty crude and attitude changes when tips are given. So give your own judgement. Inspite of repeated requests and reminders for Star or Chinese paper (which they agreed),hotel gives only one type newspaper ie The Straits times. Judge the service yourself!

Generally i am satisfied with my stay at this hotel the front staff are polite and efficient the room is clean and the setting is good looking and with lot of table space to work if you like The location is convenience and the Piano bar at the lobby is relaxing

We only stayed for a couple of night due to our flight timetable but we were very impressed with the quality and location of this hotel. The reception staff and foyer staff were very helpful. The restaurant upstairs was a disappointment when it came to dinner with limited menu and only a choice of 2 Chilean wines which were awful - and there were only […] 2 other people dining so it lacked atmosphere ..the staff though went out of their way to be extremely helpful... the breakfast buffet on the other hand was great.. We had a great stay at this hotel... Centrally located to shopping and transport which was great for us... the staff were great and the rooms clean and more than adequate. We will stay there again... food and service very good with very friendly staff

I normally don’t stay for long time in my business trips in KL. I was for the first time in Melia and the hotel is perfectly located near the financial center and shopping malls in walking distance. I will choose from now on this Hotel for my overnights

Spent 3 nights here in Sept 2011..hotel was very clean, very convenient to everything, staff were extremely helpful and friendly...breakfast was the high-light...wonderful selection of delicious food of good variety...we looked forward to breakfast every day...would definitely stay again.

Overall a very good hotel, Superb staff efficient and polite, in particular Peter Gomes !. One negative would be the cost and quality of the Wifi service,which at best was slow and unless you stand at reception kept dropping out, in such a high tech city you would expect better. I would gladly stay again !!!!

great location easy access to everything only a few dollars taxi to anywhere in the city first class comfortable hotel.

Most of their Front-line staffs were very courtesy. I had booked 2 rooms, a lady Aniam was very kind to upgrade us to a link room under(Family suite room). We very grateful to her. Come to Breakfast, their BF was not interesting, we had stayed for 4 days 3 nights breakfast food were all the same(Boring) and were very crowded. Cannot name a better location.Close to super shopping, Monorail transport at the door, Supermarket in the Times building opposite. Breakfast buffet included. Great rooms. Terrific helpful staff. A top spot in KUL.

A friendly and cmfortable hotel.

next to monorail Imbi station, close 2 many shopping n eating area, good value for money. However disappointed as can't check out late as they rang up n reminded us to check out sharply on time. Even if paying 1/2day charges but can only stay up to 6pm.

Everyone lauds the location of the Melia, which is truly its top feature with the Imbi monorail station just in front of the hotel and major shopping areas across the street (Berjaya Times Square) or nearby. Our major complaint is with the bell-hops and desk staff when it came to ordering a taxi to the airport. We requested a standard city taxi well in advance, and confirmed the approximate fare (~90 ringgit) because we only had 105 ringgit left. Instead of a standard taxi, they loaded us into a higher-fare taxi without our knowledge and put us in a horrible situation. Fortunately, the driver agreed to take us to the airport for the remaining cash we had on hand, even though the actual fare was higher. Suggest steering well clear of the hotel staff for ordering taxis - there are plenty of cabs constantly lined up across the street at the Berjaya Times Square. Even our driver remarked that the Melia is the worst hotel in the city for dealing with taxis, because they always try to push their higher-cost limo service, and screw guests who want taxis. Devamı

Prime Location. Comfort room, friendly staff, well maintain.

The location of the hotel is good for shopping. The hotel has what are expected of a 3.5-star hotel. The housekeeper didn't provide slippers though. The breakfast room was very small. Every morning, we had to queue up for a breakfast table and on one morning we were given a table which was located at the corridor outside the breakfast area. Beware when […] you drive into car park, it is very narrow! We scratched our car even though we're very very careful. Every day, we're under stress when entering/exiting the car. The hotel does not allow us to late check out (we ask for 1pm), by 11.30am the recept call to ask if we are checkin out if need to extend a half day amount will be cgarge to our bill,so we check out at 12pm sharp! We used to stay in Melia for almost 10years but this time the hotel charge paring fee of RM5 per day and when we exit the carpark twice we […] need to pay 2x. the charges RM10. When we went out at around 11.30pm , we paid RM5 and when we return after midnite till tomorrow we were charge as RM 10 again the next day when we go out in the afternoon, we feel the hotel should waive the parking fee for the guest, 2 or 3 years ago-no charge at all!!! We really hope the carpark fee will be waive off as we will be goin back again. if not we would rather try Istana Hotel the next time. Devamı

Location - perfect! Surrounded by shopping centers and Imbi Monorail at your doorstep. The room is clean and well-maintained. The bed is a little too hard to our liking. booked a room with a king size bed, but when checking in, we were told that they only had a room with 2 queen beds...not ideal as I was travelling with my fiancee.We were not given any free upgrade or even any apology. When asked if we could get a king size bed for our second night, we were told "maybe...I don't know" again no apology...

Location, location is very important! This very good hotel is just opposite Time Square an other shopping malls. All staff was very friendly, helpful and service minded!

We enjoy our 1 night stay and they allow us to check in early . Our room was at the 15th floor and was told to check in at the 18th floor ,the VIP level and we definitely thought we have booked a standard room . The staff was very friendly,cheerful and we are very happy with the way they attend to us . So far I have travel quite often this is the first […] time the Melia hotel staff have politely told us to stay at the hotel if we were to visit Malaysia again . Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Monorail-Station Imbi. Von dort aus gelangt man sehr schnell zum Hauptbahnhof (KL Sentral). Direkt gegenüber ist ein 10-stöckiges Einkaufszentrum mit vielen Essens- und Einkaufsmögllichkeiten.
