AN EXCELLENT HOTEL, WITH SUPERB SERVICE, LARGE ROOMS AND LOCATED AT ONE OF THE PRIME AREAS OF THE CITY.

this hotel is 20-min bus ride from the city. it's old and not up to the modern standard (old CRT TV, no hand towels, no coffee/tea in the room). we didn't get the room we booked for, and was lied to when we accepted a lesser room when the front desk manager told us that he would ask the house keeping to put a big blanket over the two twin-size beds […] put together to make it a king size one. they made recommendations for restaurants that are overpriced and serve lousy food. Worst of all, they made racial remarks about our nationalities (we are not US born Americans) when we brought to their attention the poor service of one of the restaurants they recommended us for dinner tonight. the staff was rude and disrespectful and didn't think he was wrong when he was told that the racial remarks were not necessary. i was shock and even more disappointed when i found out that this hotel's rating was high on tripadvisor.com -- it's NOT TRUE. this hotel is HORRIBLE. seriously, don't stay here if you can spend the same amount or less in a nicer more friendlier hotel that's closer to the city center. I don't write reviews even though i've booked and stayed over 150 nights at hotels.com. i am compelled to write this review because this hotel is deceiving with their claims and promises and racially discriminating. Communication problems, make-uping things which were wrong, I felt not like a valuable customer, but like a somebody who disturbs. Not friendly reception on the ground floor, impression that they are doing a favour when I asked for a city map. For five stars hotel it is disappointing. The same with the restaurant: coming 11 minutes before the opening, […] seeing all the staff inside watching you and pretending that they don't see you, because they open in 11 min - it is not the way I am used to do business. Somehow I missed the idea that a technology conventionat a 5-star hotel wouldn't have Internet access in the room included in the rate. Also, having to pay for the breakfast buffet was unwelcome too, though not totally unexpected. Aside from a few minor issues like the sink draining very slowly and the bathtub hot water running a consistent yellow color, […] things were alright. The staff was very friendly. Devamı

The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet which is normally included in the price, which for Spain breakfast at 5 star hotels is very expensive. The location is very good, although it is not in the city center, but just maybe 5 to 10 minutes in taxi. Very good price for a family of 4.

The hotel was very nice, the beds were comfortable, but the people were awful! I have visited several European cities and have always found the people to be understanding and helpful, even when I do not speak their language well. The international conference I was attending at the hotel had 600+ participants and was one of 3 conferences being held during […] our stay. Therefore, I expected at least some of the staff to be multi-lingual. Not true! Not only could we not get directions to a nearby restaurant from the concierge, they did not even want to try to communicate with us. As stated, the hotel was nice, but be prepared! Devamı

the Melia Castilla was a very nice hotel in an area of the city that is away from downtown. The staff members were courteous and the room was excellent.

Muy buen hotel, muy buen servicio, solo un poco caro especialmente si se lo compara con similares en NY o Washington.

Dog temmelig få engelsktalende ansatte. Vi havde booket 'connected double rooms', hvilket jeg havde fået bekræftet på mail få dage før ankomst. Da vi så ankom, kunne de tilbyde to rum 'tæt' ved hinanden, men ikke 'connected'. Efter lidt diskussion måtte de give efter og opgradere fra standard værelse til premimium, da de så havde mulighed for connected […] rooms. Det blev således super kvalitet - men giver man bare efter havde vi fået to adskilte rum, hvilket ville have ændret vores ophold markant, da vi havde to børn med. Hotellet burde have sikret sig de korrekte værelser, så en diskussion med henvisning til deres confirmation på mail ikke havde været nødvendig. Fik i øvrigt en mail fra Hotels.com om, at man ikke behøvede skrive til hotellet for confirmation, hvilket jeg så var glad for at jeg alligevel havde gjort. Devamı

LO MEJOR DEL HOTEL ES LA EXCELENTE ATENCION, DESDE EL PORTEROQUIEN SE ESMERA EN ATENDERTE, MUY BUEN DESAYUNO, AMPLIAS INSTALACIONES, ESCELENTE UBICACION. MERECE 5 ESTRELLAS

El desayuno es variado, delicioso y hasta las 11:00am. El arroz con bogabante del restaurante L'Albufera es de ensueño!

Muy buena infraestructura. Sugiero que el uso de Wi FI esté incluido en el precio normal. Un poco alejado del centro de Madrid pero con estaciones de metro accesibles caminando.

un 5 étoiles passé d'époque ! Cet hôtel n'a pas les qualités d'un 5 étoiles il est vieux et dépassé ... (ex : vieille TV ds la chambre !) La chambre non fumeur que nous avions demandé était imprégnée d'odeur de cigarette froide de la moquette jusqu'au draps !!!! Par contre très beau et copieux petit déjeuner. Le personnel est agréable et accueillant. L'hôtel […] est un peu éloigné du centre stratégique pour les visites (à pieds) Par contre bus métro et taxi partout ce qui est très pratique. Devamı
