Waldorf Madeleine Hotel - Paris

The staff couldn't have been better. My wife became sick during our visit and they bent over backwords to help us. The location is close to many main attractions. The only negative item I can say is the walls are paper thin. We continually heard "normal" conversations from other rooms like they were inside our rooms. I've stayed at a number of hotels of different categories in Paris, yet cannot determine why this hotel has 4 stars when it is no different, regarding the amenities, etc., than a 3-star property. The only difference was the price, at around 100€ more per night than comparable properties elsewhere in Paris. Maybe it's the neighbourhood. The hotel Waldorf Madeline in Paris France was a beautiful quant hotel in walking distance to restaurants and loads of shopping and transportation nearby. This hotel is a little deceiving online. It looks nicer and bigger than it actually is, and with the Waldorf name it seems like a higher class than it is. The hotel is fine, but expensive for what you get, although the daytime front desk is quite helpful. Third bed for our son was nice but made the room cramped. Being from South Africa I did not find this hotel value for money. As for the 4 star rating. In South Africa 4 stars would indicate that we could have expected more. At R5500-00 per night I would at least have expeceted a breakfast to be included.

Hotel Madeleine was a great spot for us - within a few blocks of the Concorde, and also close to the less touristy areas. Block & a half to the RER / Metro. The hotel staff was professional and courteous; Southern Hospitality should only be expected in the Southern US... The room was small, but what room in Europe isn't? Fresh carpet, nice drapes, […] comfortable bed. Bathroom was well-put together, and kept clean. Housekeeping stayed on top of the job, and out of the way when we hung the Do Not Disturb tag. Couldn't ask for more there. Don't do the breakfast in any hotel - not worth the cost. Just go shopping for your cafe and croissant on the street! My friend and I stayed in Paris for 4 nights and the hotel was exactly what we wanted and needed. The room was great, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. There is free wireless internet in the rooms as well as two computers in the lobby for checking email and getting directions. The front desk staff was very friendly and spoke […] almost perfect English. They gave us recommendations for a nice cafe for lunch and dinner during our stay. The hotel is very close to all of the downtown tourist sites Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde as well as a very short walk to the Gare Lazare train station and the Roissybus airport dropoff/pickup. I loved this hotel! It is a few blocks away from the Louvre, Concord Plaza, and great shopping. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with my many questions about navigating the Metro. Breakfast was not included in my room price, but it was delicious. Breakfast room is quite small though and there was usually a wait for a table.

We stayed in a "Classic" room (the smallest) and while the street was loud with the window open the soundproofing was amazing and the room very very quiet with the window closed. The bed and sheets and comforter were of the highest quality and we enjoyed the high quality of the interior woodwork on the bed, desk and closet. A "Classic" room is a _bit_ […] on the small side, but the proximity to Madeleine and the shops and cafes there and also surprisingly short walk to so many of the key sights of Paris such as the Seine more than made up for it. The breakfast room was a bit "cosy", but the service excellent and pleasant and the coffee and food excellent. A bit on the pricey side for what you get, so we had breakfast in only twice out of 5 days. Wonderful personal neighborhood hotel. I'd stay there again, but perhaps in a larger room. Devamı

Fantástica situación, muy limpio y agradable. No teníamos el desayuno incluido pero esta lleno de cafeterías por la zona.

God service, rent og ganske skjermet for trafikkstøy. Rommet var som ventet ikke det største, men nyoppusset og greit. Sentral beliggenhet.

始めてのフランス旅行！分からない事だらけでとても不安に思っていましたが、まずホテルに入ってひと安心感。。落ち着いた雰囲気と清潔感もあり、お部屋もストレスにならない広さがありとてもよかったです！ マドレーヌ駅にも徒歩五分くらいで便利でした！ 湯沸かし器を貸してくれたり、お店の予約をしてくれたり、サービスも良かったです！フランス旅行に行ったらまた泊まりたい！！

Séjour agréable

Отличное расположение отеля и хороший value for money. Красивый дизайн комнат. Единственный недостаток - плохое знание английского вечерним служащим на ресепшн. Заказать еду в номер по телефону оказалось просто невозможно.

Receptionen var väldigt liten och hotellet såg ut som att vara i stora behov av renovering. Väl uppe på rummet så var det flera hårstrån på sängens bäddning. Badkarets front var en sågspånplatta. Vi checkade ut tidigare från hotellet och bytte till ett annat 4a stjärningt som var väldigt mkt fräschare.

Good hotel, very good service. Small like every hotel in Paris, but the neighbourhood and service make up for it.
