"Fantastic Hotel and a solid deal for this area"
Right off the interstate in Harrisburg and was very convenient for a quick stop off during our travels. Very new hotel. Rooms were great, breakfast was solid with a little more choice than the average hotel breakfast bar. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
"Convenient and comfortable"
Great location when traveling through the state. Just off the expressway. Clean, comfortable bed, good pillows, quiet. The neighborhood has a number of good chain and locally owned eating establishments. We ate at Mulligans and had great pulled pork barbeque.

The air conditioner was very loud,and the refigiration get going on an off all night,and was also a little loud
We love staying at this hotel since it's close to Hershey Park, but yet it's quiet!

"The Hotel Holiday Inn Express close Middletown PA"
My room key did not work when I went to my room and the attendant quickly corrected that. The room was well kept and there was a refridgetor in the room. The free breakfast in the morning was great but the employee at that time did not appear to enjoy this part of his job especially when you came close to closing. The 2nd day they ran out of food 45 […] mins to closing, I did not understand that. A smile works wonders. One thing I did not know is they allow dogs in the hotel. My daughter is scared of dogs and it would have been nice to know that. Also are there specific rooms for dogs or any room could become a dog room. I know they keep the place clean but I would prefer not all room be allowed for animals. The elevator also may need a little service, it scared us on a couple of occasions. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to others, it is near shopping area so if you get bored, you can take a walk and browse around. Devamı
Although everyone was very nice and helpful, we had a few problems with the room. The air conditioner did not work properly and the toilet didn't always flush. The hotel was clean - the kids loved the pool and workout room!

Extremely friendly hotel staff (especially the guy replenishing the breakfast buffet). The food was yummy and the room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel was easy on/off highway, close to many food options....8 minutes from Hershey Park...Amish country also close by and worth while..

"Holiday Inn X, Harrisburg East - Hershey Accssble"
The Holiday Inn Express, 4201 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, PA. Adequate at the price-point that we paid as a base to see Hershey Park and other attractions in the neighborhood. It's not a resort hotel, but if you've checked out the prices and location that should be obvious The Good: 1. Price 2. Clean enough - no bed bugs; no obvious dirt or filth […] in room or bath; maid service seems to do their job well enough. 3. Towels/wash cloths replaced each day (stayed 2 days) 4. Beds pretty comfortable 5. Continental breakfast is pretty good: 4 kinds of cereal, scrambled eggs, omelett, bagels, pancakes, fruit,... 6. Complimentary wi-fi (not blindingly fast but on-par w/ DSL) 7. 8 miles from Hershey Park 8. Oudoor pool... big enough for kids and clean 9. Decent fitness room and equipment 10. Secure card/key entry to the building and rooms 11. Big flat-screen TV 12. Refrigerator in room 13. Elevator (nice if you are on the 4th or higher floor and have a lot of luggage or small kids) 14. Vending machines on the floor (with pretty good prices actually) The Areas for Improvement (but hey, its not a resort and so for the price most of these are not really that significant): 1. Decor a bit outdated (not too bad but a face lift at some point might be nice) 2. Have to go to the lobby to get ice (well, that is a little more than a bit annoying) 3. Bar soap in the bathroom (soft soap would be really nice and probably less mess for the patrons and maid service) 4. Bathroom fan turns on by light switch - annoying when all you want is the light.. especially when the fan sounds like two of the four engines on a C-130 Hercules are out-of-sync with one another) 5. Bathroom was a bit small, but adequate 6. Towel rack is in the tub/shower stall (weird, but high enough that they don't get wet) 7. Breakfast area is a bit small; it fills up fast and if there is a conference being held the overflow room is not available Overall rating: 3 stars out of 5. "GOOD STAY"
I stayed there for a night with my husband and two dogs. The dog fee was great! the only thing that bothered me was we got a call saying two people complained that our dogs were barking isnt that was dogs do so what do they expect (the walls are to thin if you ask me). the room was clean but the sinks handle did fall off and the biscuits were ROCK HARD […] at breakfast. This unit exceeded our expectations. We always liked the "Express" system and this was no exception. Friendly staff, clean and well appointed room, and convenient to our route. Breakfast was well done.

"o.k for one night"
Positive: Room was clean & breakfast was good Negative: Lift was down while moving belongings to 2nd floor. Bathroom door was locked and was not fixed . After unlocking was not able to close after using. Overall for one night it is o.k.
"Tired and unhappy."
After traveling since 4am, we were looking forward to getting in our room, which was eventually perfect, however, the front desk woman was not accommodating. We were made to wait for our room when using hotel.com. The rest of our stay was pleasant.

"Great stay"
We had a great 2 night stay. Check in was one of the friendliest I have ever had, and I wish I could remember the 2 girls names. The room was very comfortable, the pool was nice, there are many restaurants in the area. The hotel is 14 miles from Hershey Park.
"Holiday Inn Express"
I look for Holiday Inn Express because I'm usually happy with it. Our room had cobwebs in the corner and the toilet bowl was filthy unser the rim. Breakfast has a great selection but one woman was working all three mornings we were there and couldn't keep up. Our room (104) was next to the roomwhere they prepared breakfast and we were awakened two of […] the days (4am and 5am!) by noise in there and/or a vaccuum cleaner. "Smaking atmosphere was like an old bowling alley"
When we arrived to the hotel the lobby stunk of stale smoke. It reminded me of an old bowling alley. Fortunately, our room was smoke free and clean. I would not stay at this hotel again, however because of the stinch.
"Nice Hotel - lovely room"
I would recommend this hotel. We enjoy our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The only problems were there was only 1 elevator for guests and the cleaning staff. We were all trying to get on at the same time and the elevator was slow, especially at check out time. The breakfast was good expect the staff was slow in replenishing the food.

The room was extremely comfortable.. top quality sheets and linens. the pool was outside, which could be a problem and didnt open till 10. sometimes we like an early am swim before check out. they had a brkst included, but we had relatives visiting and asked if they could pay for breakfast, and we told no, they only have enough breakfast for guests, […] so we all had to go out to eat. there are tons of choices for food in the area, luckily. the place was sold out, so i guess people really like it. We were very pleased with the Holiday Inn Express in Harrisburg (East). The hotel was clean and the staff were all very professional. We went to Hershey Park while staying at the Holiday Inn Express. It was a short drive to Hershey Park and the cost was much lower then the park hotels.
We enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express-Harrisburg(East). The room was cozy. Two concerns: there is a "weird noise" after each flush of the toilet bowl. It sounded like a missile is taking off and the bathtub drain is slow. We do hope they will they will take care of the above issues so the next guest does not have to deal with it.

Stayed here for an evening at Hershey Park - Concert. Felt very welcome and informed. Breakfast area was a little tight for sitting, but the food was more than ample to start your day. We visit Hershey Park often for the park as well as the concerts. I would definitely recommend.

"Great for Hersheypark family stay"
We took our kids to Hersheypark for 2 days and stayed at the this hotel. Very affordable vs. the Hersehy Hotels. Only 10 miles from the park and an easy drive late at night after park closing. Only drawback is there was limited seating available for the complimentary breakfast and we were forced to eat in the lobby of the hotel.

"Memorial Weekend Trip To Hershey Park"
Due to the holiday weekend, we couldn't find an affordable 3 star hotel and had to settle for a 2 star hotel which ended up being this Holiday Inn Express. To our suprise, we were very pleased with what we found. We had of 3 kids and in-laws with us, we all had a blast. We were 20 minutes from Hershey Park, restuarants all around, my kids loved the […] fact that their was a Mc Donalds right next door plus with the heated pool, kids loved it. They offer a good breakfast and best of all, their staff there is great. Very friendly and professional. I would definately stay at this hotel again. Devamı

"Outstanding Hotel"
The rooms very clean. The bed was very comfortable and plush. Staff were extremely accomodating. I was very surprised at how nice it was. I would definitely stay there again.

"This is the one you want"
When I travel to the Harrisburg area from now on this is where I'll be staying after 2 other hotels in the area came up short. I have a freshman at Penn State so I'll be back there occasionally.
