first off, it took forever to find the hotel. they dont have their own parking lot. you park on the street, check into the hotel, they give you a map of a parking lot you can park at, you have to pay for $22 per day valet service or park at another hotel (which would cost more), the lobby is terribly small, the elevator can only hold TWO people at a […] time, the elevator squeaks a lot and doesnt sound safe, the elevator seems to work going up only, we had to always use the stairs going down since the elevator never came for us when we wanted to go down. despite all that, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. the staff cant control the location or parking situation, and i think they did a really good job considering everything. but i wish they would address the elevator situation. This hotel's location is excellent, but the property itself is tired. The furnishings are old, the decor is from the 1970's, and it has no amenities to speak of. We chose it for the price and location - right on Waikiki beach.

I would just like to thank the staff for a wonderful experience, this was my third trip to Oahu and this was my best hotel experience, no its not a five star hotel but for the price, location and wonderful staff, you just don't want to pass it up. Thanks again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Impressive foyer and public areas. Location could not be better. Fantastic views from ocean front room. Room was small and facilities are old, but OK. Good value for money. Would not hesitate to return.

Convenient, cheap & clean. Small rooms but OK. We would stay there again.

This was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in! We drove around it 5 times before finding a small title above the single door entrance. There is no parking here, you have to "unload" on the side of the street and get a parking pass and drive around the corner to park in another hotel's valet, then walk back (a short distance). The staff seemed […] polite enough but lazy. There is no bell service. The elevator hardly fit 2 people let alone our luggage and the elevator had a sheet stapled up to hide the ugly rotting wood underneath. The hotel room had enough room to walk in between the 2 "twin" beds (they were even smaller than what what be considered twin). Everything in the room was like a blast from the 1970's, including the loud air conditioner. But at least the AC worked. The "view" from the sliding glass door/balcony was of a plain concrete wall, and that's it The balcony had 1 plastic chair. The pedestal sink had no where to set your toiletries, and the hair dryer was filthy and taped together with duct tape! We did not stay here, after having paid in full we used the room to shower/freshen up after having been on the beach and change, then promptly left to go somewhere else. The 1 single positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it is directly across the street from the center of Waikiki beach, in the heart of everything. If you want a "locker" to store your things in while hitting the beach, this will work. Otherwise spend a little more money and get an actual hotel room. Devamı

We were there for 3 days in February 2012....convenience not to far.........near the beach but thoses are the 2 really good things. We did pay for a Deluxe room.......and we were really disapointed...really really small....no space to move in the room.....so we cannot imagine normal room. I was worried reading other reviews and told the others in my group to expect the worst (we were in a group of 10) and was pleasantly surprised, yes the air co is noisy(it drowned out my husbands snoring), and the decor is dated and yes we got a view of the back wall, but who cares, look at where you are people, step outside and wow, with ABC right […] next door (We love ABC stores, nearly bought out the store!) the location is fantastic, this makes it a place I'd come back to, If you did'nt like it take a walk 1 or 2 blocks behind, there is heaps worse!! The room was just that a room. Nothing to really brag about. The front desk was very helpful. The room was very clean. If you are looking for a 4 star hotel this just is not it. But if you are looking for a place to put your head down at night and take a shower this room work just fine for that. Besides we did not spend much time in the room. Tje location of the hotel was perfect right across the street from the beach. Good quality for the price.

This hotel is too small and offers no type of service at all. There is no room service and absolutely no amenities at the hotel. Would not recommend at all.

It wasn't bad just the bed was small. the employes were friendly. They should just renovate. Of coarse I enjoyed my stay since I'm from there. Last minuet booking and haven't been home for a while. My room had to beds the size of me so that's the only downfall.

Our stay was just fine. Yes, we have had more room, yet our ocean side fifth floor room was just fine. If we had to choose again, I would hope for the same room.

Great location on Waikiki Beach. This hotel was good value for money, and great if you are spending just one or two nights before you move onto your resort or another island. Fine if you want to check out Waikiki beach, shops, nightlife etc. Would not recommend if you are looking for a relaxing beachside stay, this is the middle of waikiki, and our […] room looked out to the air conditioning unit, so was warm and noisy. So if you plan to be out and about, and just need somewhere to keep your stuff, and have a shower, this is a good option. Lobby is amazing, rooms a bit run down, but like I said we got a great deal. A very basic hotel. The advantage is that it is right across from Waikiki Beach and there are tons of places to eat and shop. Why need a pool and all of the extras. Would recommend it to others. Very nice staff.

Don't even think about staying here unless you upgrade to the ocean view rooms. First off, this hotel, while a reflection of old style Waikiki, is falling apart. You will notice this from the first time you step into their one, very tiny (think fit 4 people maximum) elevator, to the second floor lounge area that is blocked off in yellow tape. Your […] room may have curtains with holes inside, bathrooms with broken items such as no soap tray in the shower. There may even be portions of the ceiling that are peeling. To couples who want to get away from it all, take note that the beds they have are queen size beds even though they say king size on the website, and that the little things, like the peeling ceiling, may take away from the magic. Anyway, upgrade to the ocean view rooms. The other rooms are decent size, but you won't want to stay in them. The ocean view rooms at least have a balcony that provides a great view of Waikiki. We stayed in a room that claims "Ocean View." Yes, we did get the view of ocean, but partially. The rest was covered by a big tree. We were on the 6th floor. I would assume you need to be on a higher floor to get a better view. We did enjoy the partial ocean view anyway, and we loved the balcony. I booked this hotel after reading reviews from others. I spent the little bit of extra money and got the deluxe ocean view room. We were on the 12th (top) floor and the view was breathtaking. It was so nice to wake up and go to sleep overlooking the beautiful ocean. We were also in the perfect viewing spot for New Years fireworks that were shot off […] from a barge in the ocean. The room was small, but my husband and I managed just fine for the four nights that we spent there. Also, the A/C was loud, but it helped to drown out the street noise at night. While the room probably has not been updated since the 60's, the bathroom looked like it had been renovated sometime in the last five years. The television was super old, but worked just fine and the bed was nice and comfortable. The staff were also very nice and even had to take us up to our room and open our door because our key kept malfunctioning. I thought I was going to the Aston Waikik but it turned out i wa going to a smaller, older version. I stopped at 2 other Aston Waikiki's before I found this one. I think it was the first hotel built in Honolulu. Everything worked and it looked "vintage" but the room was very small. Great reception, very grand frontage. Behind the scenes not so flash but ok. The good; cheap. Great staff. Awesome location. Double glazing effective. The bad; dated rooms. Vintage aircon not effective and far too noisy! Beds very soft!

If you are not a claustrophobic person, this is the best location you can get, particularly, if you are facging the oceasn. Very friendly and cooperative staff at the front desk. Super-friendly staff. Very clean but worn and shabby. Beds pretty hard and everything a bit tattered. But right across the street from Waikiki and overlooking live hula under the banyan tree on Saturday evening. A bargain since I was there for Waikiki, not to spend a lot of time in my room.

Small room, small bathroom, no restaurant nor coffee for breakfast. The price is for a bed and the use of a bathroom, that's all you get in this hotel. Oh, internet is only available in the lobby with limited number of ports. If you see few guest in the lobby with laptop, you'll have to wait till they logout.

Perfect! Dead center Waikiki Beach and surrounding area for easy walking. No car needed if staying here. Easy access to all Bus routes too! Wish the Police would get the Bums off the streets though. Hotel Staff Outstanding. Building under renovations, but I can live with that. The room prices are Great too! Will Definately Return.

A very clean comfortable hotel, great position, for food and transport at your door, great swiming beach across the road, we will go back again.

WE DECIDED TO EXTEND OUR STAY IN WAIKIKI AND STAYED IN THIS HOTEL FOR 2 DAYS. WE CHOSE THE STANDARD ROOM AND WAS SATISFIED WITH IT. This 1930's / 40's hotel definitely needs to be updated but it's not dirty. If you are looking for an exceptional deal and don't plan on staying in your room much (it's Hawaii for god's sake - go out), than this is a great bargain. It couldn't be in a better location. Right in the middle of all the action and directly across the street from the beach. […] Unbelievable!!! If you care about all the hotel amenities I suggest you look elsewhere but if you only want a place to crash after a day at the beach or attractions and a night at the restaurants or the club than this is the place. Convienent location and nice place to stay if you are only looking for a bed to sleep in. Older hotel, so rooms are small and no thrills to the hotel. Not a place if u have kids, no pool.

Overall the Hotel was vey nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If there was a bad side the room was very small. We had a great view of the beach and was near all the shops and restaurants.

OK, so it is about the size of a NY City hotel but clean and got a great view of the beach. You want the 8th floor or higher. Friendly staff but a chore getting on line in a corner of the 2nd floor. Convenient to restaurants.

Not sure if the sheets had been changed between guests...went to bed and felt sand even though I hadn't been to the beach...

Just the right distance from the beach - far enough that you don't have throngs of people walking outside your room, but a nice 10 minute stroll will get you to the main strip. The service is excellent and the staff is very, very welcoming and friendly. They will ask you to sign up for a timeshare presentation when you visit the information desk for […] your free gift. (It's a calendar). We signed up, but then decided not to show up - no hassle at all. The rooms are nice, modern, clean, and have everything you could need in the kitchenette. Housekeeping is also excellent - our linens were always crisp and clean, and they washed any dishes that we used. We left for another (cheaper) hotel after 6 nights. After one night in the new hotel, we checked out and went back to the Wyndham. It will ruin other hotels for you. Devamı

Yes, it is obvious that some improvements and upgrades are needed, but have you been to NYC? Size is comparable. It would have been nice to upgrade to a room with a view, but they were booked up. Staff continues to be so courteous and friendly. And if you want a view, just step out of your room into the hallway.--what a view!!

I have stayed in better Motel 6's on the interstate in small run down towns. This hotel should not even be called a hotel. Could not believe the condition of the elevator, nasty carpet, paint peeling off, etc. The room was not as large as some closets and there was paint gone and holes in ceiling of the lanai. To charge the rates you do and then have […] a tiny window air conditioner is awful. We stayed the one night of our 5 night stay and then left to move to the Holiday Inn. I would never suggest anybody go there, in fact if ever asked where to stay in O'ahu I will certainly tell people of our experience there. I will say that Hotels.com did give us a refund for the un-used nights, I certainly hope someone from Hotel.com will visit this place and consider not recommending them, it certainly makes me want to think again before using Hotels.com. Good service, good location, very busy but could not hear traffic or people in room. Room was always very clean, fresh towels daily and a beach towel hire from reception was handy. Parking was difficult in this area and although the hotel does offer parking this is charged at a daily rate and it was cheaper for us to use public parking facilities.

Great location, and the staff is very friendly. Only 1 elevator. Bathroom was very nice, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. No smoking anywhere, not even allowed on the balcony.

a nice hotel though maybe a little tired! Staff very helpful and rooms clean air con ditioning very noisy and maybe a new decor would be good but worth what we paid

The Beachside hotel looked alright in all the photos, but looks are definitely decieving. You walk into the lobby and it looks so elegant, then you notice how small the check in desk is. that should have been my first warning sign. only one elevator and if 2 people are trying to take elevator at the same time, you better be traveling light because it […] is smaller than a closet. The room smelled of mildew and our view was of the building wall next to us. the shower head was rusted. and you had to take the stopper out of the sink for it to work. the beds were uncomfortable and the t.v. looked like it came out of the 70s. pretty much, don't stay here. there are much nicer hotels in Waikiki.
