Hyatt Place San Antonio - Riverwalk - San Antonio

It was a great stay for the honeymoon. Everything was wonderful. The only drawback was the small bathroom.

Wasn't very satisfied.

Its on the quiet side of river walk but if you walk on the road you hit the hotspots in like 4 blocks. I liked that if was so clean and calm and 24 food..(made to order) it was great! Great free continental breakfast too!

Starting with the positive things: My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Place for 5 days. From a Tuesday to a Sunday morning! The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself was very clean and very modern in the lobby. The breakfast was tasty and the kids loved it. There were complimentary apples in foyer of the lobby and the 24 hour cafe/deli/bar […] provided coffee, beverages, salads and hot appetizer-like snacks for a fee (nachos, wings, burgers, artichoke dip, starbucks coffee, wine, mixed drinks etc;) This was especially convenient after we spent hours at the Riverwalk and did not want to pay up to $100 for dinner. The snacks weren't that expensive but with a family of five it did add up! The surroundings were safe and close to the Riverwalk. Very quiet. We had a room with a view of the city which was really very beautiful at night. Our room was a double queen with a sofabed. The room itself was spacious but the bathroom was really small! The far end of the Riverwalk even ran in the back of the hotel. The negatives: I only have a few negatives; the toilet had a very foul smell at times but after informing the front desk attendant a maintenance man came up late at night right away to fix it. Cleared the issue up right away. The bathroom was really small. The door was very close to the toilet. However, the spacious area outside the bathroom with the sink and vanity helped a lot. The three drawers and closet provided for clothing could have also been a bit larger but keep in mind we stayed for five days and are a family of 5. Three kids and 2 adults. Overall this stay was amazing! I would recommend this hotel to others because of its overall environment. Side Notes: There was no microwave or laundry service on site. There was a small fridge, ice pale and coffee maker. Great hotel and will stay again on our next Spring Break vacation! Devamı

The hotel was really nice and the location was very safe. Right on Riverwalk yet private. My only complaints were we smelled some horrible ammonia odor a few times in the room ( was not constant) and everyone gathered around the front to eat breakfast ( were were not told dining area was in back). Kinda strange but when you open the bathroom door it […] hits the toilet?!! Otherwise everything was great. :) Devamı

The hotel was nice but not nice enough to compensate for the staff's attitudes. From the maids to the manager, all were in terrible moods while I was there.

It was an awesome stay at the Hyatt Place . The employees were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was so great we decided to stay an additonal day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is on the river, and there is a walk behind it...but it is NOT on the Riverwalk...so its a bit misleading...its quite a way out of the way, but still walkable..The hotel was clean and worth the price

The hotel was lovely and clean and so close to lots of the riverwalk life. We were only there one night but would gladly have stayed more.

Good location if you want to stay down near Riverwalk. Pool area is ok. Nice breakfast in the mornings. Staff is very friendly. Nice hotel for the price.

The hotel is on the south end of the River walk, with free parking and wireless internet. The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. The best part is that it's just a 5 minute walk to the exciting river walk.

The place is perfect! Great friendly staff, morning breakfast was so delicious, location is just few blocks away from the center. Parking is free and so spacious. Staff named Tim was so helpful too. very polite and courteous. I would definitely comeback and can't wait for the whole family to have another long weekends.

This was a very nice hotel, The only complaint I have was that the bathroom was so small that the door actually rubbed against the toilet when you opened and closed it. I was still extremely pleased with the room

I was Charged for a long distance phone call a room service staff member made in my room while I was away. Obviously I challenged the charge of which the front desk initially made it seem like I was not being truthful. After a few minutes of discussion I needed to take my son to his base but asked the hotel to check the time of the call to validate […] against my entry key card records to the room. They did not call back. I called three times but eventually got it resolved as it was determined that I did not make the call and the only other party to have access was room service. Ultimately I do not trust the staff and you have to play CSI just to get results from bogus charges. Devamı

The only thing I really liked about the hotel was the free parking and the free internet. Now I am a little choosy when it comes to my hotels. It is not a 'bad' place. But there is nothing special about it. It is at least a 10 minute 'brisk' walk from the riverwalk.

We enjoyed this hotel because it was in easy walking distance (5 mins) of the Riverwalk but just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Also parking was FREE, internet was FREE and breakfast was FREE which is not normal on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Comfortable rooms, only complaint AC a little noisy. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was helpful in many ways. Great rooms and typical Hyatt Place set up. Many good breakfast options and location is a nice little walk by river side walk to main river walk venue.

The Hotel is nice and clean, rooms are very comfortable, it is conveniently located, you can walk everywhere. The breakfast is included but is a mess, long lines and very disorganized

As with the other reviews, we found the hotel to be a little far from the main attractions, but the walk was not too bad. The bathroom was tiny, but the room was very spacious and clean. A very pleasant stay.

Good location and price. Tiny bathrooms in the rooms but overall it was a decent place to stay.

Nice layout with comfortable and clean beds.Breakfast is awesome and parking is convenient and both being free will save you some mulaah to spend on your favorite drink while at the riverwalk.I like the idea that I can walk to where the action is and yet it's far enough from the noise and buzzling in the river.My new must stay place from now on.

This hotel is about 3 blocks from the Riverwalk, but unlike other hotels has free parking. The room was exceptionally clean and a large size. We also got a free drink coupon when checking in which was nice. The only bad thing was that the elevators had a weird odor.

This was a great hotel. The rooms have been redone and they offer continental breakfast in the morning. The parking is free, which is great because most Riverwalk hotels charge $30. But know that it is NOT that close to the Alamo, Mercado or Riverwalk. You can probably walk on most days, but in the rain, sweltering sun, or cold you probably don't want […] to. The front desk person that checked us in wasn't the nicest person ever, but the others were really nice. Overall for the price and the comfort, it was a great deal. Very cozy and a pretty hotel. The hotel was celan and all the staff were very professional. One major problem, the bathroom door and the toilet are within 1 inch of touching. Very small bathroom, bad enginnering.

Was a nice hotel, the staff was great, location good and the breakfast much better than most.

The bathroom was extremely small. Though it is on the Riverwalk, it is not close to the restaurants and shops. The good thing is that it has free parking.

we were pleasantly surprised at the size and comfort of our room, hotel staff and the added perk of the very nice complimentary continental breakfast. The only "negative" was the length of time it took us to walk to the core part of the Riverwalk. We had gotten the impression it was out the back door, yet we had to walk a bit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed in how far away the hotel was from the actual businesses of the riverwalk. It was a very long walk to find somewhere to eat... Also, a disappointed that there was NOT a DVD player in the room, as it was stated in the desciption that there were DVD players in the rooms.

The executive king room was much more spacious than we are used to. Was nice being able to stretch out. Very friendly staff and helpful as well. Wasnt right next to anywhere we were going but was centrally located and a short drive from all our sites visited.

The hotel is very dark and there is no natural lighting and almost no room lighting. No outlets for plugging in and charging electronics and the gym was under construction and the pool closed.

We had a wonderful weekend and our hotel stay was superb. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to San Antonio!!!!!

This hotel is currently undergoing a remodeling of their bathrooms in various rooms. Makes for a VERY NOISY stay. Forget coming back to your room in the afternoon to rest... Staff was very nice and did what they could regarding complaints about the noise (like sitting in a dentist chair for hours...). We were given 2 complimentary breakfasts. Hotel […] has light snacks and drinks in the afternoon. Never understood why we were given ONE TOKEN for a free drink when there were 2 of us in the reserved room... River does run behind the hotel and it's pretty and quiet. This location IS NOT in the busy and tourist-filled area of restaurants and shops. Not a bad walk to that area though. Close to the King William district which is very pretty. The free parking was very appreciated, but you will need to walk to downtown or drive a few blocks and find a parking lot to get close to the "action". Devamı

Amazing room for the price. Very pleasant front desk personnel. Free parking & complimentary breakfast were welcome perks.

Room set up was great, two sinks made it incredibly for us to get ready. Frig didn't get cold - told from desk and they sent a new one up immediately - BUT that one didn't work either. Rooms under construction - no noise at night but only one working elevator during the day. Sofa bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable! Rules changed - one night we brought down […] cocktails to mingle with our friends in the lobby. Two nights later the front desk told us that was not allowed unless we purchased the beverages from them. Housekeeping staff needs some additional training on cleaning procedures. Location was quiet tucked away from the nightlife down the riverwalk. Walking under the viaduct was OK since we were with a group of people but if I was alone or a small group would have preferred the street. Free parking was a blessing and you could walk to all of the site seeing treasures (an average of 5 blocks). Pool could have been a little cleaner. The water was as warm as bath water so the maintenance staff DID try and cool it down with water from the garden hose. Devamı

The hotel was great I would def. stay at the Hyatt again. But the restroom was small but I guess its ok because then you have more space for the living area etc. In addition it is a little far from the actual river walk but not too far. Great place to stay^_~

Nice hotel and rooms. Clean spacious rooms. Riverwalk is technically right out the back door, but you are not anywhere near the RiverWalk activites and restaurants. For the price paid, it needed to be alot closer to the action.
