Niagara Falls Marriott Gateway on the Falls - Niagara Şelalesi

Whereas the rooms are big and clean and the location is right above the Falls, our stay was somewhat disappointing. On our arrival, a rather unfriendly female receptionist informed that our 'Fallsview'-rooms were located on the lower floors but at a surcharge of almost 20% we could get some higher up. We chose not to take the option and the view was […] pretty much the same. The hotel has a Starbucks located at the lobby level and the 'breakfast room' in the Mezzanine changes into a 'franchised' dinner restaurant in the evening. The breakfast buffet is OK but definitely not worth the CAD 19++ which is being charged. In addition, there is no information displayed regarding the price of the breakfast buffet anywhere in the hotel. Parking in a garage (generally full) or on an open parking lot is charged CAD 20++/night and by adding up these side charges, your seemingly 'interesting' room price might turn out to be rather expensive after all. There were a lot of things to do in the area with the kids. I describe it as "Broadway" for children. Lots of flashing lights and sounds. Very exciting for them. (on Clifton Hill). The hotel room was fine, but the service was lacking. I've never entered a hotel where there is no front desk clerk to be found. I went over to the Bell desk, but they said […] I should just wait at the front desk, that someone would come. Seriously, waited 2 minutes when she came around the corner. I asked for a map of the area but just got a shuttle bus pick up time. The front desk was just too busy for one person on. The hotel felt fairly empty. Stunning view of the falls from the room, away from the tourist centre so quieter. Room was good value but parking expensive.

Parking is 20$/day which is more expensive than other hotel, does not like a 4-stars hotel. Room is not comfort and the condition is quite old. Compare with the price, is not worth it.

Did not find the hotel up-to-date on the quality of the amenities. Frankly, the hotel seemed pretty empty compared with the other Marriott across the street which seemed to be hopping. Gave you a sense that you were missing something.

We stayed at this hotel when our child was competing in a dance competition located at the Scotia Bank Conference Centre. This is the closest hotel for this facility. It was great because we could quickly go to our room and relax between numbers. It is also conveniently located to lots of eating area. very nice location the view of the falls is magnificent so sorry for the fog that came to stay the following day of our stay would go there again

Overall it was a good experience, clean rooms and great service... The only problem i had was when I booked the room through hotels.com over the phone, the representative suggested picking a room at a higher level floor to have a better view of the falls and that he would do it for me for free since there is no charge to it... The hotel was a mess too much construction going on the beds were awfull.

First of all - beware there are 2 properties...I am not sure the one in the photo was the one we were booked into. We ended up in a property that is behind the main property (which is the one you can see from the roadway below and has the big Marriott sign on it). This 2nd property was not a 4 star hotel...more like a 3.0 and the posted rack rate for […] the room was WAY overstated for the quality of the room's pedestrian appointments (room, bed, bathroom). Oh and to confuse the situation even more...the 2 properties have the same name, only the address is different! We went to the wrong property first...the staff there was first rate (10 out of 10) -- however the staff at the property where we were not as friendly or helpful (maybe a 6 out of 10). The other challenge we encountered was that this second property was under renovations and therefore there was no gift shop, the lobby coffee shop wasn't always manned and I nearly fell when I crossed an area where the tiles were uneven (some tiles had been removed) and the area was covered with a bit of carpet runner so I didn't see that it wasn't even. There was no warning that the runner was covering uneven flooring). I needed to purchase some items, and ended up walking to the other property to find what I needed. We did have a falls view room - and the site lines were excellent. It's the only thing that met our expectations. If I had to pay the regular rate (and I am not referring to the over stated rack rate) for this room I would have been very upset. Devamı

This hotel was an alright place to stay. I stayed in a fallsview room with two queen beds. The beds were comfortable and clean. However, the pillows were awkward; they were comfy when you were sitting in bed but, when sleeping, too low with one pillow and too high with two pillows. The washroom was VERY small. It was usable for the weekend I was there […] but more space would have been preferred. The room was well stocked with toiletries, towels and cups. I did have a problem with my key card one day. It was registered for two days but on the second day, it stopped working for no reason and I had to go to the front desk and get it fixed. I also had a problem with my bill (my group and I got the shuttle service pass). They charged us twice what they were supposed to so make sure you check your bills immediately! All in all, the stay was fine. It was acceptable. However, if I was paying the rate that was printed on the back of the door, it would not have been worth it. Considering this was a four-star hotel, it is not exactly in par with other hotels within the same level. The prices reflect a higher end hotel but the accommodations were just meeting the minimum I would expect from such. Devamı

filthy pool & sauna, should warn gests about $20.00 charge per day for parking in the hotel premises.

Visited Niagara over the long weekend and had an enjoyable stay. I would recommend it.

We had a great time. The hotel was very nice. We had an amazing view of the falls from our jacuzzi suite. The lobby is being renovated but it didn't affect our stay. We did put out a breakfast order on the door and it wasn't picked up. When I mentioned it at check-out, the lady was very upset and comped our parking. Excellent Location, Lobby was under construction when we arrived which made for a tough first impression. No gift shop, (not sure if one was going to be added). Room was excellent with an excellent view of the falls.

Although the hotel lobby and main floor was under renovation, our room was nice. 32nd floor, elevator only went to 31, then had to walk up to our private "penthouse" suite. With cold winds, stairwell and front of room quite chilly, but bedroom area able to regulate easily. Great room with whirlpool, comfy bed and an amazing view. Wet bar, fridge, but […] no microwave. I was there just for a night to visit the Niagara Falls because I did not want to drive back to Michigan because of the cold weather lat and I got this night hotel. It was very good in the room.So confortable . The only thing is that the customer service lady for the activities she was not interested in us to go no where.We asked her about options and […] she was very indiferent so we just asked outside the hotel .I simple smile in the face was enough to make a difference.. As I drove down the street, my excitement grew in amazement of Niagara Falls Canada during my first visit. Then I saw my hotel as it overlooked the gorgeous falls. My check in experience was courteous as a smile held strong on my face. My room was beyond spectacular as it peered over the falls and the wonderful city. Clean, spacious, and well laid out... […] my room was just right for the stay and rather comfy.I recommend the Marriott Gateway on the Falls to anyone. nice hotel clean,good service but the air is too dry and no humidity control,the duvet covers are very noisy kinda like plastic bag feel enough to wake you up.

We had a great family getaway at the Marriott Gateway. Everything was clean and modern, with great amenities. The pool is small, warm and only 4.5' deep, making it perfect for a family with small kids. Our view of the Falls from the 28th floor was spectacular. We had a fantastic meal at the Milestones, located within the hotel. The only thing that would […] have made it better was if the price included breakfast. We will definitely go back. Devamı

I thought the view was fabulous from my window! I was quickly dissappointed upon entering the bathroom and finding old soap in the shower and dirty floors for a 5 star hotel. When I complained they only credited my parking but come to find out they charged me $49 for I don't know what!!!

The view of the Falls was in plain site . Made for great photos. Food at the main resturant was great, with exellent service. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Great beds

Very efficient and comfortable.

I really liked this hotel and the staff. The view was great and we liked being away from the congestion of the other hotels that were grouped together. The room was clean and the amenities were nice. We paid a little more and booked a superior falls view room with floor to ceiling windows and it was well worth it. The rooms were larger and the view […] from the upper floors was fantastic. The hotel was nice and comfortable, but I don't feel that I should have had to pay $20 to park my car since I was already paying an expensive room rate.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Also very impressed with the comfort of the bed.The only problems we encountered were we requested a king size bed prior to our arrival and were told there were none available once we arrived and the hallways were also very noisy!

THe hotel is at a great location and we had a nice look onto the falls. but the patio was really not clean so we could not join the outside experiance of our room. Also you have to pay for every little thing extra such as carparking, breakfast (really expensive) even for a bottle of water they charge you with a pretty high price! Overall for the price […] you pay we expected more quality if I compare the services you get for the same price with other hotels. In the room it was clean and the hotel looks very nice. Just your neighbours you can hear very good (toilet, hair drying...). Overall I would not book Marriott Getaway again but we do not regret that we have chosen this hotel. Devamı
