Sheraton Suites Alexandria - Alexandria

It is really not very close to the metro stop but if you have a car, it's extremely convenient to get to and close to DC.

We visit our son in Alexandria quite often - will definitely stay here again!

I got a great deal on this stay. The hotel was not a 5 diamond resort but for the price it was super comfortable and the room was nice and big for chilling out in. It's really close to King St and Trader Joe's, and the shuttle will take you to the metro at the airport.

When my key card didn't work, I needed to wait 30 minutes at the front desk because one of the two personnel was "on break". A man I was on the elevator with told me his toilet didn't work. The place looks dingy.

We loved the Sheraton Suites for its proximity to King Street in Old Town and the Metro to go into DC. The room and hotel were both very well appointed, though showing age here and there. Very comfortable indeed. The only minor disappoint was that they couldn't/wouldn't charter a shuttle to take us to the Amtrak station, saying it was out of their range […] (but is closer than Reagan International, where they run a regular shuttle). The elevators were a big issue with long lines waiting to use them. The website was close to worthless and I had to call an 800 number to get info which even then was difficult although the person was very polite. They were stingy with the threadbare scratchy towels and I 'm not sure how they can call it a suite when you get an appliance that does not […] actually keep things cold. There are no in room safes. No where in any place I was looking for online info did I see that this was a hotel that allowed dogs. Being on a packed elevator with a growling dog is disconcerting. I like dogs, have two of them myself but would not have stayed at. a "dog hotel" if I'd known. Devamı

I brought my 6 yr old daughter up to take her to DC. Although the staff was very nice we found the hotel to be a lot older then let on to be. Newer model televisions does not make a hotel room. The bath tub was very dirty and stained. The microwave door had to be forced open. The pull out sofa bed was horrible. My back still hurts 3 days later. The […] jacuzzi at the pool was also out of order for some reason. We walked to the metro(it was a nice day out, only 10 min by foot away) not knowing we had to walk through a bad neighborhood to get there. I expected a lot better from a Sheraton. This hotel was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and caring, as though my sister and I were the only people they had to worry with. Our suite was handsome and comfortable. They made getting to the airport and the metro a breeze for us. I will definitely return.

The Sheraton Suites is very convenient to Old Town Alexandria and there are several good restaurants in the immediateneighborhood. The Metro is a bit of a hike, but there's transportation if you don't want to walk. Great place to hang out for the weekend at very reasonable prices for DC and environs!

Love that you take dogs, hated carrying my own luggage up and parking my own car. The car I can take a pass on because the elevator takes you to the garage. Like most women I had alot of luggage then throw in the dog too. The desk clerks and the cleaning ladies were all wonderful. I will be back.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights.

We always stay here because the hotel is very clean, the rates are reasonable, and the shuttle will take you to the Metro to go into DC. Two televisions per suite. If you're staying in the area, be sure to find out what big name is performing at the Birchmere Music Hall, only 2.5 miles from the hotel.

Walk to Old Town Alexandria resturants and shops. Shuttle to Metro and Airport. Great Italian resturant just across the street. It's number one selling point to me is that the hotel is Pet Friendly .

the hotel charged for everything including parking,no complimentary breakfast,wifi os only available from lobby! will not stay there again! the pullout sofa was the worse!!!! ugh!! phone on the desk did not work! horrible!

Great Renovation of an old favorite brand. The suite definitely WoWed us....Very nice rooms and lay-out. Parking was very convenient. We will most certainly stay here again!!

My honey and I wanted to get away so we decided on staying at the Sheraton Suites in Alexandria --- big mistake. The shower leaked, there were no extra towels --only one set, no condiments for the coffee/ tea and the maid knocked on the door at 8:30am when checkout is at 12:00pm. We will never stay there again. So dissappointed.

Sheridan Suites, Alexandria - Very nice stay. Close to DC and sites south. Parking and internet charges were a bit excessive, but the hotel and people were gracious.

I judge a hotel room by its bed first, and this one was exceptionally comfortable. The room was large, well-equipped and clean. The only minor complaint is that the airport shuttle does not run often enough; in off-peak times, it would be more convenient to make the run on demand rather than every hour. We have occasion to visit Alexandria fairly frequently and this was our first stay at the Sheraton Suites, We were very pleased with this hotel and definitely will book here again. It is convenient for us. The desk staff was very friendly and departing day room service breakfast was tops. Clean and well kept. We stayed in a suite with a king size bed and couch foldout. The bed was very comfortable, but the foldout could have used some extra padding. The main problem was all of the dogs barking, at all times of the day and night. I'm not sure if the dogs were in the room next to us or down the hall, but it didn't matter either way you could hear them very […] clearly. I don't know if we were on a floor that allows dogs, but I will certainly check the next time to make sure that I am not only in a non-smoking room, but a non-dog room/floor also. Devamı

The hotel itself was nice enough, the rooms were a little smaller than I expected for a Sheraton, but a nice stay either way. Staff was friendly in all interactions

Good hotel, generally the best value in Old Town, 8 blocks from the city center. The only problem was no internet on the first night we were there, system was down.

The hotel was quiet and had a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and I plan on staying at this hotel for my future visits to the DC area. The hotel is close to King Street in Old Town Alexandria which meant window shopping, cocktails and just enjoying a relaxed stroll.

Has some family friends visiting for the day. This particaular Sheraton in located in Old Town area which is great to walk to shops and dining areas. I would say a 15 minute walk to get to King Street. On the date there, unfortunately there was front street construction, rennovation. It was a nice enough hotel, and the rooms were pretty comfortable for me and my 2 little guys. The front desk staff were somewhat friendly. My only big problem was with the morning room service! We called down to room service for about 15 minutes before we got through. I gave my order from what I read off the in room menu. The lady did not seem to […] familiar with the menu. She said it would be up in 15-30 minutes. When it was not up in 45 minutes, I called down to see where our breakfast was. Another lady said the room service lady just left with our order, no apology. When we did not receive it after 1 HR & 15 minutes, I called down again. And again she barked that it should be up soon, again no apologyt. About 5 minutes later, it finally came. The server was pleasant but seemed a little green, he asked me for a pen. I told him I am not going to sign anything, because I am not paying for a breakfast what was almost an hour and a half late. The in room menu also stated that room service will be complimentary if it takes more than 30 minutes. The food was cold, and one of the orders was dead wrong! Also it lacked enough utensils for us all and a few things like butter. A few minutes later I get a cranky call from a women basically yelling at me for not signing and paying the tab. And saying that because the hungry kids ate the cold waffles we should still pay. I could not eat my food because again it was the wrong order, and a cold omlette & soggy hashbrowns are not my thing. This women was rude, and unkind. I was expecting a call of appology, but did not get it. She runed and wasted our time at this hotel. It's funny, I used to work as a manager in a Sheraton a few years back. And I know Starwood would not think this was appropriate customer service. Devamı

Great location. Easy shuttle trip to and from airport. Great neighborhood.

The hotel is just a couple blocks from that wonderful Mt Vernon biking/walking/jogging trail. Also near old town Alexandria with restaurants and unique shops. Bike rental shops close by. The only complaint was upon registering, the hotel claimed to be overbooked and could not give us the room we reserved over a month prior through hotels.com . After some complainning , they found us the correct room. Wonder if it had to due with the great rate we got on the stay??
