MainStay Suites - Tampa

In only 5 minutes, I got from the concert to the hotel - easy access and was a wonderful room! The mattress was really hard and not comfortable, but the room was very nice and exceptionally clean! I would stay again after a future concert!

Just a below par hotel - you get what you pay for. Found a roach in my room first night and TV had no ESPN - can you imagine? TV's were very old too. Bath towels were very small - barely covered me. Next time I'll spend the extra $25 a night and go back to a Marriot.

I was at this Baymont for 6 nights in mid-January '12. I've had favorable experiences at other Baymonts I've stayed in and this one was no different. It's well run and cared for and the staff was friendly. The workout room - one of my must-haves - is well equipped and maintained. The only thing it lacks is any restaurants within walking distance but […] a short drive north on Falkenberg Road toward Adamo Dr., Route 60 will bring you to the Brandon Mall area, where there's endless choices of eating establishments. Needed a room for one night and it's very close to were I work. Rooms were quiet and clean. Front desk took care o one minor issue I had. Worth it for the discount price I got online, but don't think I would stay for the full price. Overall, good stay, no complaints.

Nice floorplan, clean and better than average breakfast. If you are a light sleeper I'd avoid rooms on the end near the exit b/c you hear the door slam when guest come and go.

The people are very friendly and polite. The conditions of the hotel have aged. The refrig froze my food and couldn't adjust it. I would also like bigger, softer towels. Location was perfect. Overall, with a little upgrading, this would be a perfect place to stay.

Smelled like mildew or mold in the non smoking room. Bed was old n hard.

The hotel was adequate for our need of a one night stay for a concert at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The proximity to the venue was a plus. Checking in was not an easy task... the gentleman behind the desk was working on a problem with a guest and we waited 20 minutes to be checked in.. once the second desk person arrived things went well. Breakfast […] was a little challenging.. the front desk man had to go an cook some sausage for me and make coffee. The coffee took at least 15-20 mins as he had to work the front desk at the same time he was trying to make the coffee... You had to sit on the bed to watch the television. The chair for the desk was too low so it made working at the desk uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was very meager. It did have good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water.

i am brazilian and went for sun and fun air show in lakeland fla around 25 miles from the hotel the distance is far but the offered services was very good i enjoyed to stay there jcs

the manager was exceptional He paid attention to the needs of his customers with out his extra in put our stay would not have that great. He was good at recommending place in the area that were personally met our own taste. Overall the hotel stay was excellent, but there were a few things that needed improvement: Complimentary breakfast was not well stocked and the room was not cleaned thoroughly every day. Location is beautiful and quiet although it is not really close to dining choices.

Did not like this hotel. Didn't like the area, the room was tiny and the bed was very uncomfortable. The only positive I can say is that the staff was very friendly and as helpful as they could be.

The room was more than adequate for our two-night stay. It was clean and comfortable, which is really all we need. We did notice a few problems, which we reported to management right away. 1. The advertised dishes and utensils were not in the kitchenette. When we asked, we got two coffee mugs and two spoons. 2. The toilet was not bolted to the floor […] on one side, so it rocked if the person sittin on it moved. 3. There were 2 phones in the room, which did not work from the time we got there, until we left. 4. The breakfast consisted mostly of bread and bread products (muffins, waffles, toast, etc.), which I cannot eat. I had corn flakes and a banana, which my husband found after we sat down. All of the issues above were reported and never fixed. I didn't really expect them to change the breakfast menu for me, but it would've been nice to use the phone once or twice. The manager told my husband at check-out that the maintenance man had been on the property the night before, but didn't want to bother us at 11:00 p.m.! Huh? One thing we didn't report was that some guests had dumped food and other garbage at the back entrance on Friday night. It was still there when we left on Sunday at 11:00. THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE! My husband and I arrived at the hotel 8 hours before check in. We were aware that we may have to pay an extra day stay. The foreign guy told us a room wld be ready at 11am. Then he said 1pm. Then he said check in was at 3pm. If he would of said that in the beginning we would of been ok. When we voiced our concerns he then threatened […] to cancel our reservations. When he called to cancel our reservations the rep wanted to speak to me. When I was explaining the situation the foreign guy then snatched (yes, i mean snatched) the phone from my hands. By then I was in complete tears. My husband had to deal with the foreign guy. Because we were on such a budget I could not find another hotel at a decent rate for last minute reservations. When my husband finished with the guy we were able to get our room. The room was not comfortable. The room was very stuffy. When I opened the window for some air there was no screen. I went to call the front desk and the phone did not work. The pool was out of order. The fountain in courtyard did not work. I went to wash closthes and the washing machine did not work. Every day when I went to the dining room the foreign guy made it a point not to speak. He wouldn't speak, however, he watched the food you got and made sure to let me know no food was permitted to leave the dining room. That was odd per each room had a kitchenette where you could make your own food. After 3 days I ran into the hotel manager. She apologized for the situation. I smiled and kept walking. Her apology fell on deaf ears. If she was really sorry she should of handled the situation on the first day. She should have came to our room and apologized. She should have offered some type of accomodation. THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! Devamı

I expected the hotel would be a comfortable distance from the downtown Tampa. It was a pretty alright hotel overall besides the fact that some appliances were old and often broken. The lights were a little too dim as well. My biggest concern with this place was the distance to downtown Tampa. If you do not rent a car, this place will be the worst vacation […] investment ever! Taxi fares are way too expensive and the bus system is just does not cut it at all. However, if you do have a car around, this may be a solid place to stay at if you easily get around cheaply. The staff was very friendly and some what knowledgeable. Don't listen to the Hindu lady on any directions to any place. She gave me directions to the post office and she wasn't even close! The post office was 15 miles away. The room was cozy and with a nice view. The bed was very comfy and the location was perfect. Now the bad, the heated pool was broken, […] the robe hook in the bathroom, was loose. They advertise free breakfast beetwen 6 am and 9 am if you get to the lounge, were they have the breakfast, after 8:30 am it's gone. I love scambled eggs as much as the next guy, but, what they servered at this hotel was far from any egg from any ckicken that I've ever had. And the selection was so limited and so few, only two bagels, four yougurt cups, a couple of bananas! Over all it wasn't a bad hotel but it needs help. Devamı

Clean, Quite, comfortable. Friendly staff, nice outdoor courtyard and pool. Easy I-75 access. Loved staying here and would definately go back or recommend to anyone!

Hotel was clean and in good repair. Hotel was home to many full time residents it appeared. A lot of portable grills in the parking lot. As a family, I really didn't feel comfortable staying in this hotel. The breakfast buffet was waffles and older bagles. Juice machine was broken for the two days of our stay. An older hotel in a business park, very, very clean. Quaint and cozy, great for a romantic getaway or a business trip. Could use a few upgrades, but due to the economy, it is a steal for the money. Loved the townhouse suite.. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I did not like the upgrade room. The television in the bedroom was too small. The room was tight and cramped.

Formerly this location was a Spa. The Spanish Architecture with fountains, pond and gardens truly made this a "Gem"! The rooms are private. The bed was very comfortable. And the service... the Manager, Mary, was so helpful with directions and local recommendations. The next time I stay in Tampa will be at Baymont Inn and Suites!

The Baymont Inn is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in and presents a very cordial atmosphere while providing a romantic setting both with the room and the grounds. We were utterly surprised by the loft in the King Suite, which gave you the feeling of a mountain chalet in the heart of the city. We spent one night at the Baymont while attending the Jimmy Buffett concert. The hotel room price and location were ideal for the concert. We were less than 4 miles from the Amphitheater. The hotel has a great pool, and we ordered delivery food to enjoy by the pool before the concert. The hotel proprietors were very nice and take pride in their hotel. […] The rooms had kitchenettes which we weren't aware of, but since we were only there one night we really didn't take advantage of them. The rooms were clean and breakfast the next morning was good, with plenty of choices. We will definitely be back again. Devamı

I would recommend this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly--allowed us to check in early, provided directions, etc. Very nice stay!

We specifically ask for 2 beds and we were set into 1 king size bed. After that we asked for roll away bed and we did not received it.

I was pretty well pleased with my stay at the hotel. My boyfriend and I were there for 6 days 5 nights. The hotel was very conventient to all places we visisted. The only thing that I didnt like about the hotel is the smell of the room. It had a very strong insent smell that got into everything. My clothes smelled horrible. Housecleaning came way to […] early in the morning when we were asleep and didnt come back in the afternoon. Other than that it is a good hotel for the price that we paid. Asi 30 min od mezinár.letiště v Tampě směr na východ na Orlando, poměrně nový, čistý hotel, velmi vstřícný a milý personál. Blízko výborné nákupní centrum. Doporučuji.
