i was very happy to stay there, i had a perfect view from my window in the room, hotel's location is good and secure, you can have by bus in front of hotel, nice place to stay in my opinion ...

Great location and price! Only thing missing was balcony but otherwise great price and location!

Some quick disclosures (a) my wife used to work for the hotel 20 somethings years ago before i met her.(b) I reside in Hawaii and a government employee. Room. Carpet is old but clean. Furnitures old but adequate. Maid was great we did not see any delay in service. The jacuzzi was big and available till 10pm. Pool is small but adequate. Location is the […] best, close to everything. Front desk staff. I DO NOT CARE FOR THE LADY THAT CHECKED US IN AT 2:30PM, SHE CLAIMED THAT OUR ROOM DID NOT HAVE A Bathtub EVEN THOUG I TOLD HER THAT WE ARE GOING TO STAY FOR 7 DAYS AND I CAN SWITCH LATER, SHE SAID SOLD OUT. But when we came back later about 8pm another staff was very good and gave us a different room. I would have mentioned his name but did not want to get him into trouble. Bottom line shop around for a not so burn out worker. My rating is based on my knowledge of the hotels in HAWAII. I HAVE STAYED IN kO-OLINA, HILTON WAIAKALOA, AQUA SUNSET etc, Most of the highest and Lowest cost hotel across the state. THIS HOTEL IS NOT BAD AND IF WE ARE SHORT ON FUND again WE SHALL STAY THEIR AGAIN. Conveniently located to several restaurants. Walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center. Less than a block from bus stop. Loads of area for sun bathing along with small pool and good sized spa pool.

staff is very helpful and very accomodating---but the hotel itself could use some updating carpet and furniture is very old internet access is very expensive most hotels now do offter the service free

no hot water!

This hotel is old and needs some repair, but the location is very good. The pool is alright but sometimes it was very windy in the pool area (its on the 5th floor). The staff was usually nice but not very helpful. We really liked the location, short walk to the beach,shops and restaurants. A bit expensive for what you get.

If you don't mine short walks the location if fine. I'm not sure why but the had a musty smell that cleared up after the A/C run for a while. The bed pillow swere the smallest I've ever seen in my travels. Free internet only worked in the lobby area. The wired internet was very very slow. and for $10 and change for me was not worth it. The elevator facing most southeast would not stop on my floor going up. It would work on the way down. You have to send it to another floor so you can try to get one of the other two elevators while it is away.

I thought is was a great hotel for the price. Great and friendly front desk staff. Hotel room..I was on the 32nd floor, very quiet...which is very important to me. Only complaint is hotel room is dated whit a very worn lumpy bed. But for the price... I'll definitely be back!!!

The price of this hotel in Waikiki was Comparable to Hotels in the Salt Lake City area. I was able to Upgrade from City View to an Ocean View room for less than the cost of a Lunch per day. Vit's, the Resturant on the ground floor, had daily Breakfast and Dinner Specials, an Excellent Salad/Fruit bar, and very reasonable Prices. The Hotel is only an […] 8 to 10 minute walk from Fort Derusey and Waikiki Beaches, through the Fort Derusey Park. After reviewing comments about this hotel, the term 'ugly American tourist' comes to mind. I'm a 57 year old former senior national advisor, who took a punt and tried it. I was friendly to the staff, they were friendly back (yes they are human). They gave me a room on the 44th floor, which was very clean in all respects. My 3 pillows were new and fluffy […] stuffed, the view was brilliant of ocean and skyline lights at night. The A/C was good, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was fully stocked and spotless. The elevators went quickly and were spotless when going up 44 floors. When in Hawaii, as I am a 16 year resident of Kauai, we spend most of our time out of doors, unlike many on the mainland constrained by the weather and fear of attack, fearing to venture out, living in the status of having the 'biggest pink stucco house fortresses' possible, Maile Sky was an excellent stay at a very reasonable price, and was less than 100 yards from the main strip and glamor of Waikiki. I recommend it highly, and discourage anyone from believing the silly 'bleating' of others. I witnessed a bloated pink fat woman having a meltdown on the strip as she 'saw a cockroach' cross the sidewalk. I was embarrassed, wondering what had become of my American heritage watching her scream & dance in spectacle. This is the tropical life of Hawaii, and what would one expect being in a climate near rain forests? In conclusion, if you fit most of the other whining reviewers, please don't stay there. This hotel definitely needs a face lift. I live here on the island and was embarrassed that we would have our visitors come on their dream vacation and have to sleep in this kind of hotel room.

This hotel would be good for you if you're on a tight budget like I was. It's not the best looking room and not the most comfortable either, but the ocean view was nice. The location was a little far from the shopping area, but it was a few blocks away from the beach, which was convenient. Maile Sky Court is a great hotel for the price and location. It is not a five star hotel but if you are looking for a nice, inexpensive hotel with a great staff and location you should give it a try.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, it made my stay all the more enjoyable.

I felt this hotel is old. For example corridor & bathroom. It was dark around the hotel.

I've stayed here at least twice now. Great location between Marina and Diamond Head. Can walk to anything in Waikiki area. Nice, quiet pool and jacuzzi on 5th floor outdoor deck. Excellent affordable and delicious restaurant. I wanted to eat there every day becuase the menu has so many wonderful options at good prices. Small rooms but perfect for sleeping […] and showering. If you are in Waikiki to stay in the room, you are there for the wrong reason. Best price in town with everything you need. Security present at all times, felt very safe at any time. We enjoyed out stay at the maile our room was kind of small but they had a really nice staff that was courteous and caring thank you for suggesting this hotel we plan on staying next time we come

your neighbours will greatly impact your night, since 4 rooms share same hallway/square. Bathroom smells with heavy mold all the time. The toilet seat is unable to be hold straight and always fall down. The room is very small, probably half what you feel from the pictures. The perfect thing is the location.

Parking was $18, a little cheaper than the other places at $20 or $25 a day. Room was small, but nice and clean. The staff was really nice and helped me get a cab that night even when the lines were busy. I would definitely stay here again if I need a place to crash in Waikiki.

Hotel was very old, and desperately in need of rennovation. The "partial ocean view" room took a lot of imagination to even find the ocean. Noisy neighbors after midnight, walls must be very thin. A two-star hotel at best. We had the feeling that price we paid did not entitle us to have a room in the nice part of the hotel.

This hotel is nice location, however the rooms are tiny and a little dingy (hear neighbors). If you want a place to crash, it works, but there are other hotels near by for cheaper and better quality. The front desk & housekeeping was friendly, though!

The location of the hotel was great! Close to all the shops and restaurants in Waikiki. When we got to the hotel to check in the employees at the counter were not friendly and did not look happy. We asked the agent at the counter about the hotel parking and he was very sarcastic and again not helpful. We proceed to ask other questions and again he was […] not helpful. Not sure what was wrong with him. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor and he too was very unresponsive when we addressed his employee . We were given 2 twin beds when we advised we booked a queen she said we booked a twin. We tried to show her the paper, but she was not interested. The room was very very small. I read reviews prior to going there and did not realize how small the room was. It was the smallest room I have ever seen. The bathroom was also small not sure anyone larger than me (5'11ft) could fit in the batroom or through the door. The real problems was the people working at the hotel and how there were not helpful. Although the room was small and it was a very old hotel I guess you pay the lower price, but the service should have been at least good... I am ashamed living and working in Hawaii to see employees treat their customers as though we owe them their job. Only hotel available on a busy weekend. Very spartan

Would never stay here again. Very old not maintained well. Was suppose to be nonsmoking but it was not. No balconies or windows. Hotel very stuffy. The hotel also planned a fumigation for the floor I was staying on. I found out by a letter that was left under the door when we checked in to the room. The front desk didn't even have the courtesy to let […] us know. I called to ask for a room on a different floor and they weren't accommodating. So I just declined fumigation. The location is about the only nice thing about this hotel. I stayed here one night but the rate was cheap and I was meeting my mom the next night in another hotel. The hotel main lobby and outside we fine but when you got the room, it was small, the bathroom was really small and the carpet looked old and I wore shoes or socks the whole time. If all you need is to sleep then this hotel is perfect, it's not for relaxing around and living the high life. We spent three nights here and was perfect for us, out all day and a place to come and rest in at night. The only down side was the really noisy aircon.

Value for money. You get what you paid for. Double bed has been around and seen many a guest. Needs upgrading.

Hawaii is expensive, period. I was a bit apprehensive about the Maile after reading many reviews, but for the money and location, I couldn't find anything better. If you don't want to pay twice as much and want a decent place close to everything, then the Maile fits the bill. The service was excellent and friendly. The rooms are adequate, and we didn't […] experience the hot shower problems and hard beds others mentioned. We prefer firm beds, so we didn't have problems sleeping. The air worked fine and it doesn't blow right on you, which is great. The windows open a little bit so we turned it off at times. The first room we were given had a wet spot on the carpet probably from cleaning a stain, and even after a few hours it still smelled strongly, so we requested another room. Within 15 minutes they assigned us a similar room in another floor and offered to help us move. The following day we received a letter of apology accompanied by a small gift, which was a very nice and unexpected gesture. I had also requested extra pillows which were delivered to us right away. One thing we noticed was the musty smell every time we entered our room. However, after a couple of minutes you couldn't smell anything for as long as you were in there. I have experienced the same smell in many other tropical places. I think it has a lot to do with enclosed carpeted areas in hight humidity places. I don't know whether it is possible to eliminated it completely other than changing all the flooring. The carpet in the second room was cleaner than the first. With 40 floors, I'm sure it takes a while to make the rounds, and to be fair, the first room needed it very soon. The hotel is very close to all the action in Waikiki and about an 8 minute walk to the beach across a beautiful park. There are two other hotels right across the street, but I don't know how they would compare with the Maile. All in all, we had a comfortable stay, and the management was very responsive to any and all requests Devamı

Good value, location. Windows in ocean view room was so dirty could not see out.

Maile Sky Court is very well located opposite Fort de Russy Park and a ten minute walk to the most beautiful part of Waikiki Beach,Fort de Russy Beach.The bus connection to all other parts of Honolulu is excellent.We were very satisfied with the room service.The only problem we had was the inadequacy and discomfort of the bed linen.The mattress pad […] and the bottom sheet kept shifting and bunching up all night long because the pad is not attached to the mattress with rubber bands on all four corners and the bottom sheet is too small to keep it in place.This inconvenience could be easily fixed if management cares about the comfort of their customers. This hotel has so many flaws where do I begin. I would never ever recommend someone stay here. Check line was very long and process lengthy. It's a large high rise hotel that's understaffed. The whole building is very dated and old. The elevators must be the slowest elevators in the world. I booked a queen bed and all they had were twin beds. Needless […] to say I didn't sleep good. Every aspect of this property is way below expected standards. Very small room. Even the bath towels are very small. Window unit A/C that was noisy and difficult to control. TV was the old small CRT style with poor selection of channels. Staff would rarely answer the phone because they were overwhelmed do to understaffing. Expensive parking in the garage that must be prepaid. So another long wait at the front desk. I felt like I had gone back in time to the 80's. Not a place to stay when your on vacation.
