Hilton Springfield - Springfield

The room was noisy because of a convention of youth. I had people yelling, slamming doors,drunkeness, and smoking in the rooms very late into the night. I called to complain to the operator and nothing seemed to have been done about it. The facility was very nice and very clean. My stay would have been great except for the aforementioned problem. We stayed two nights and didn't have to use our car once. This is the perfect location for walking to everything you want to visit in Springfield. Our two young kids loved this "skyscraper" hotel and its pool. Just bring everything you need with you because there is no real convenience store or pharmacy anywhere nearby.

The location was perfect for visiting the Lincoln sites. The restaurant and bar on the top floor of the hotel was excellent wtih wonderful views of the city and sunset. The staff was frilendly and helpful. The only problem we encountered was the airconditioner was not working properly in our room and it was very warm. I would go back again.

The hotel although older looked like it was updated a few years ago. The hotel restaurant on the 30th floor would not answer the phone so we left a message 2 hours before we went up for a reservation - they had no reservation and had not checked for messages. We stayed during a college wrestling tournament and while there were a lot of college athletes it was never noisy. The pool was rowdy but good although a sauna would have been nice. We ate at Nick and ninos on the 30th and were underwhelmed. Average value for money

This as good as it gets in Sprigfield. Close to all Lincoln stuff.

I was treated like a king! Made reservations online and was given a great room with a commanding view of the capital on the Hilton Honors level. A very pleasent surprise for a veteran on veterans day. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I had no complaints about my stay, accept I wish I could've stayed another night. I had picked this Hilton from hotels.com & it turned out to be perfect for us when my family & I went to Springfield IL for a little get-away. When we got there, I asked at the desk since it wasn't too crowded, if we could have a higher floor room for a good view. James at the desk got us a room on the 24th floor with a great view of the Capital building. […] We loved it. Then we found that the hotel was within walking distance of all the Lincoln attractions we wanted to go to. It was very convienent so I could just leave my car in the parking garage the whole time. We also were able to have some nice dinners at the Bennigans & an Italian restaurant around the corner. The Hilton made it a very enjoyable trip for us to Springfield...thank you. Shawn Devamı

When we discovered we'd brought the wrong phone charger, not only were we given a box of chargers to search through for a match, but when we didn't find a match, an employee of the hotel, lent us his. Very above and beyond!

Great location- friendly staff-within walking distance of most tourist destinations. very good view

This hotel is superbly located if you, like I did, wanted to be able to walk to all of the major Lincoln historical sites. The service was congenial and I appreciated the Valet parking service during my stay. My only real reason to book and pay higer rate was location. My only caveats were that the room air conditioning was pre-set and unchangable, […] I would have liked it somewhat cooler. Also the hot water for my morning showers wasn't hot but merely tepid which was dissapointed. The soda machine was broken on the 12 floor (or had been broken into?) and would not accept any $1 bills. When I looked closer there were a number of bills fallen inside so many patrons got ripped off on this point. Despite these critiques and realizing my reasons for booking were fairly specific I would say that the Hilton Springfield expeience was generally good. However I remain a fan of Comfort Inn's since they are as clean and freindly and usually well located as well. Devamı

While the staff was most courteous and helpful, this wasn't our best experience with hotels. We had two grandchildren with us, making a party of 4. We recieved only 3 towels each day and had to call for more or raid the pool area. No comfortable chair in the room; lighting not conducive to reading while the kids slept; smallest bathroom I can ever recall; […] no room to hang anything. They should take down the picture and put up a rack of some kind for wet towels, toiletries, etc. Breakfast was not included and the breakfast buffet was totally overpriced for what they offered. Luckily there were two good coffee bars which offered breakfast only a block away, so we went there every day except the first. As I said, the courtesy of the employeese made up for a lot of the inconvenience, but I may look elsewhere for a place to stay next time. Devamı

HAD TROUBLE SLEEPING-NOISE FROM HALLWAY-KIDS RUNNING-MATTRESS NOT WHAT I AM USED TO. BUT IT IS IN A GREAT LOCATION. ABLE TO WALK TO SITES WE WERE INTERESTED IN AND THE ADJOINING RESTAURANT GREAT FOOD. FRIENDLY STAFF.

I strongly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and everything is within walking distance! The room and service was great!!!

The hotel is clean and in a great location, right downtown. We went on a family trip to see the historic sites of Springfield and found the facilities just right. The pool area is clean, but a little on the small side. It is easy to drive to any of the historic sites that are a little further away.

FANTASTIC HOTEL!!! STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AT ALL TIMES!!! EVEN DOWN TO THE ATTACHED STAFF AT BENNIGAN'S AND THE SECURITY STAFF ON SITE!!! WAS THERE DURING A RECENT KISS CONCERT AND THE HOTEL WAS DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE VENUE. GREAT LOCATION WITH SHOPS AND SITES WITHIN COMFORTABLE WALKING RANGE. If you are going downtown this is a great location. I have stayed at this hotel many times for both business and personal travel. It has everything one might need and the beds are comfy too.

Everything was wonderful,except the bed. It was sinking in the middle and was very soft. My wife and I had trouble sleeping. We both got up each morning with bad backs.

The Hilton is within walking distance of the Lincoln Museum and the old Capitol building. There are many little cafes that are fun to lunch at. We really enjoyed our stay in our State's Capitol city and will return again. When we do, we will stay at the Hilton.

Walls are too thin. Can hear everything everyone in other rooms.

The price and location of this hotel made our trip to all the Lincoln exhibits very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel because of its location relative to historic Springfield. It was easy to find and within walking distance of most of the Lincoln sites. The only difficulty I had was with the parking garage -- I drive a full size van which requires 7 feet of clearance and the garage states it has only 6' 8". After looking inside and seeing a similar […] vehicle, I decided to risk it. It was tight on the way out -- for some reason the ceiling gets lower as you proceed toward the exit. OUR GROUP HAD A VERY HAPPY REUNION, HOWEVER WHEN WE WISHED TO EXTEND STAY. MANY CHALLENGES.( INFORMED OF NO AVAILABILITY, GREATLY INCREASED PRICE FOR SAME ROOM,DESK ATTENDANT UNAPPROACHABLE AND NEGATIVE) WE WILL NOT BRING ANY GROUPS TO THIS FACILITY IN THE FUTURE.

Stayed at the Hilton to attend a meeting closeby. Within walking distance to many restaurants and the lincoln sites! Clean rooms, comfortable beds.

I have stayed at the Hilton Springfield twice, both times for 5 nights. It has a classic feel and the rooms are well appointed and quiet. The hotel is the tallest building in Illinois outside of Chicago. On the upper floors it sways a bit in high winds and on the lower floors it creeks. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay again, and […] would recommend it to others. It is within walking distance to the historic and educational sites of Springfield, as well as several restaurants and bars. I like Floyd's Thirst Parlor for a cold beer. Other needs, such as groceries, clothing, or personal items are harder to find in town. Enjoy your stay at the Hilton Springfield. Devamı

This was a great hotel as far as location and cleanliness. Only issues were it rained really hard the night I was there and it sounded like the roof was caving in, and I was on the 9th floor. Other than that, it was comfortable and I liked having the Starbucks attached to the hotel. I would stay here again.

I stayed here because the State House Inn was full. Personally, the next time I have to travel to Springfield, IL, I'll stay at the State House Inn because the suite was just a little over half the price of a single room at the Springfield Hilton. And the full breakfast at the State House Inn was free, whereas the full breakfast buffet at the Hilton […] was not free. The main advantage to the Hilton was a Starbucks (the only Starbucks in town) accessible from the lobby. On the positive side, the hotel was exactly what you would expect from a Hilton, great service, clean rooms, friendly staff, all the amenities like hair dryer, internet, iron, ironing board, etc. Devamı

Convenient location off of I55. Can walk to nearby sites. People were friendly and informative. Would def stay again!!

The staff handled the huge crowd of inaugural visitors with grace and aplomb

Its a very nice hotel. Lots of shopping and things to do since it was located downtown. I enjoyed my stay there and I had dinner in room and the food was good. I will be making reservations to stay there again this year. :o)

I've stayed at the Hilton and it's next-door-neighbor/competitor, the Abraham Lincoln, quite a few times, as my job requires me to overnight in Springfield quite a bit. The room I was staying in on the Hilton tower's 15th floor was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. There was a working iron and hairdryer -- and not one of those rinky […] dinky hairdryers that take half an hour to dry your hair; no, this was a real hairdryer. I was in a rush to check out in the morning, and so didn't have a chance to stop by the front desk to ask why I didn't receive a hotel receipt for my stay (the envelope they give you room keys in states that one will be delivered under your door by 6 a.m.). I went to work at the Capitol ... but later that afternoon, around 4 p.m., returned to the Tower to hang out in the Starbucks before heading to the Amtrak station to catch my train back to Chicago. While I was there, I realized I didn't have my phone charger. I stupidly realized I had probably left it in the Hotel room. So I moseyed over from the coffee shop to the front desk, where the same employee who had checked me in the day before, Leslie, was working. I asked him about the bill -- he explained that the hotel doesn't give receipts for rooms booked online through places like hotels.com (which makes sense, but they could let you know that when you check in) -- and then asked if they might have found a phone charger in my room. Leslie immediately called up to the cleaning service, and asked them to investigate. I grabbed a seat on a couch. Five minutes later, guess what?! A bellhop brought me my charger! I was embarrassingly excited. It was my fault that I had left it in my hotel room, and I had inquired about the MIA charger at the desk long after check out time .... i figured my chances of being reunited with it were slim to none, but I was wrong. I was pretty pleased with the help the hotel staff gave me in this situation, and that's why I'll be returning to it in th Devamı

We went there for our romantic get away, but got a very loud and noisy hotel. While we were there we saw a brochure for the town that listed this hotel as a romantic get away place! They should have put us on a different floor NOT with all the elem. boy basketball players! The walls were thin and kids were yelling in the hallways most of the night. […] The room was very clean and nicely decorated. I did find it to be a typical, over priced Hilton...No hairdryers in room, no discounted breakfast, paid for daily parking, small 1-cupper coffee so you have to pay for more, they nickel & dime you for everything.
