I left less than an hour after check in. The room was shabby and did not seem safe. Anyone off the street could have access to my room.

I have not stayed in a room like this since the late '50's or early '60's. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Very dissatisfied.

I did love the free breakfast they provided also the free internet service but could not stand the smell in the room and the mosquito bites.

Run down and needs torn down. No hot water, no air conditioning. Breakfast was terrible. Old stuff.Did I mention the coffee was OK.

This is the second to worst stay I've ever experienced since using hotels.com - and the price of this hotel makes it sickening. I chose the Days Inn because it was one of the middle-of-the-road options, when it came to cost. After arriving though, I knew immediately that I should have gone with one of the cheaper hotels, because I would have gotten […] the same, if not better service and amenities. The staff here is 'hostile' to any type of feedback on the hotel. I had to report 3 different times, to 3 different people that my shower and AC were broken. The first person simply said (without looking at me), "We'll have someone look at it." The second person asked for my room number and then walked away from me. It wasn't until the third person that I found out... THE HOTEL DOESN'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING... "BECAUSE THE BUILDING IS TOO OLD". That's right... the hotel's main building is ONLY equipped with heating. Guess you should plan visiting in the winter, if this hotel is the one you want to stay at. Devamı

this motel is a very far walk from the Metro so plan on taking a bus unless you feel like hoofing it. when i arrived i called the front desk four times asking for the internet password and they kept hanging up on me. then, the next morning i had to wait 20 minutes for their metro shuttle to take me to the station. the thing is -- i'm the only one that […] was waiting for the shuttle and it's supposed to leave "on the hour". far from it. some guy lazily mozies out of the building at 9:20 like it's no big deal -- i almost missed my meeting! Good basic accomodation. Very clean and free continental breakfast a bonus for the price.

After checking in I tried to call the front desk and had the clerk hang up on me 5 times in a row as she couldn't hear me, went to the desk (about noon) to report phone not working and was told "I know" in a rude, dismissing manner and tone.Claimed they would send maintenance while we were out. We returned just after midnight to find the phone had not […] been repaired or replaced. The room was clean but very old and in poor repair, the heat wouldn't shut off and the AC wouldn't blow cold air, the actual dial for the control on the wall was missing also and what little air it would was sucked up the inside of the drapes and did nothing to ventilate the room. When I turned the water on in the bathroom sink my feet got soaked from the water pouring out of the drain under the sink and flooded the floor, had to put trash can under the trap to catch the water. Spoke to desk when I checked out and the Mgr. was supposed to to contact me but hence a week later and still not a word from anyone at the hotel. Devamı

We were directed to the room we reserved through hotel.com and it was old, cold and shabby. After we complained we were given another room that was old, hot, and shabby!

This hotel is old and tired and in need of refurbishing, in my room 154 the window in the bathroom would not close properly and had huge gaps which let in cold air there was also black marks in the corners near the floor, I woke one morning to find no heat in the room, the breakfast is OK as long as you like toast and bagels and is provided in a room […] that is old fashioned and dusty with carpeting that has seen better days, the staff were OK and the free bus to Rosslyn subway station was good but this hotel need lots of TLC and I would not recommend it in it's present state. Not clean Mildewed

The only negative about this room is the noise and plumbing. You hear others flushing or showering and leaving the hotel. Other than that, the shuttles are on schedule, the rooms are tidy, and the staff is incredible! Great location and the subway station the shuttle takes you to can get you anywhere you need to go.

the hotel is very comfortable and convenient to go any place in Washington.

We waited for almost 2 hours for the shuttle to pick us up at the Metro that was supposed to run every hour. We called 4 times to find out where the shuttle was and on the fourth time we were hung up on. They were rude, not very friendly.

old - not really clean - would not stay again

This hotel is Ok for visiting the Washington Dc Area, once you learn how to walk to the Courthouse Metro stop. They offer free shuttles but only on the hours and there is no shuttle between 12-3:00 pm. Other than that a good hotel. Also the next stop up from Courthouse Metro is Clarenden and that stop has may dining options.

We stayed for three nights this month at the Days Inn in Arlington. The overall quality of this hotel was lacking. We got the hotel room at an ok price, but the hotel was just sad. The rooms were not comfortable or attractive. Our shower had an improperly installed bath fitter so the water filled up between the original tub and the liner which gave […] the sensation of walking on a water bed while showering. The whole room was dim and depressing. The pool didn't open until 11am. So this was not great for the kids who wanted to swim in the pool before sightseeing. We ended up staying an extra morning just to let my niece finally get a chance to swim. I felt the life guard was not attentive after we had to wait for her to arrive at 11am so it would be "safe" to swim. Also a half an hour after opening, the manager ordered her to vacuum the pool which meant my niece was kicked out of the pool for 30 minutes (this after we skipped seeing Arlington National Cemetery just so she could have a chance to swim). Finally I have to say the shuttle service to the Metro station was free, but only left once per hour so it was not very convenient. Also the continental breakfast was bare-boned and every single item was plain/original flavor (bagels, bread, instant oatmeal, etc.). It just needed a little more effort (or flavor) On the positive side I can say the staff was friendly and courteous (despite my dissatisfaction with the lifeguard) and the outside of the building looked fine, including well kept grassy areas. That being said, I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. Although it was not expensive, I think the name "Days Inn" has some basic standards which this particular franchise owner did not live up to. Devamı

Very friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle service to trainstation is a plus. Breakfast OK but not overwelming - cereals toast bagels. Limited opening hours in pool while they have life guard on duty when open.

The hotel was old, situated in a residential neigh borhood. The room was old and not maintained at all. How do these hotels get away with showing pictures of nice clean rooms, then you get to the hotel and they have old worn out bedding, bathroom fixtures that need to be replaced. The room was a bit run down, and stinky. The staff wasn't the friendliest either. And there was always an empty police car in the parking lot. I would tell others all this before they stayed there. Be an educated consumer.

If you need to be near Arlington National Cemetery, you're in the right place. However, bear in mind that the room is musty, moldy in the corners of the bathroom, and has a carpet you don't want to walk on in bare feet - feels damp. We changed to an room on the second floor and it was better, but still not great. You know that smell that hotel rooms […] often have? - that smell permeates these rooms. Musty. It's an older motel that they've tried hard to update, but it's still an older hotel. The continental breakfast was minimal and we found we craved a real breakfast elsewhere. Room was way too small went to upgrade and we could not. Could not get or understand the staff when speaking with them. there was no working phone in room no phone book in room. Would not ever reccomend this hotel again

The TV in my room kept gong on and off all day. This was annoying because I was watching a good picture and then the TV went off.

Small bugs were in the beds in my room. The same small bugs were in the dining room. Television was old and did not work when we first checked in. This is all pretty indicative of a major problem at this hotel. I left after one night and forfeited the remaining two nights that I had paid for. Will never stay at that location again.

There is a very rude person by name Bobby at receiption. She needs basic hospitality training. Another person at receiption is Mohammed. He is a very nice person. Always ready to listen and provided excellent service.

Big mistake.

The hotel provided a shuttle every hour to the Metro station and back which was nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. If you drive the parking is free as well, I checked other hotels in the Crystal City area and they charged per night for your car. The only problem we had was with the Internet service and the TV was going out alot but they were […] in contact with the cable provider to get it fixed. I think by the 2/3 day we were there the TV got fixed but I was still having trouble connecting to the WiFi. Other then that it was reasonably priced compared to the other hotels near by in Cystal City. If you want a hotel that is closer to the Metro and closer to restaurants then I would probably stay at another hotel but here overall our stay was fine. I think the main thing was that the hotel provided a free shuttle to the metro so from there you could pretty much go to any of the major sites. The staff was really nice and friendly as well. There were several days when the TV went out; the staff advised that their cable keeps going out; when I checkedout I was told that they changed cable company they had been with. also, I am grateful for the Days Inn van taking guests to and from the Rosslyn Metro station; when I first arrived, I had been waiting on the wrong side as no one had told […] me they had changed the leaving and picking up location; I have stayed at Days Inn before; the lady I spoke to was very rude; I had to take taxi back! The hotel was horrible and there were bugs in the bed. Disgusting!!!

Me and my family decided to take an unexpected trip to Washington Dc. Because it was right before Memorial Day weekend, every hotel was booked but we felt lucky to find Days Inn across the river at Arlington. To start, we were a family of four, but we only had enough towels for three and wash clothes for tow and hand towels for one. When we checked […] in the lady at the front desk spoke broken English which made it difficult to understand. The breakfast would have been alright, but because of how it was laid out and having only one toaster, the wait was longer than what anyone had anticipated. The one day, the four of us would have been served quicker if we would have gone to a restaurant than serving ourselves at the hotel. On our second day there, we asked the lady at the front desk (Sam) to call us a cab (it was around 9:00 a.m.) By 9:30, the cab still wasn't there so myy friend approached the lady again and she started ranting about how she had called and she doesn't know where they are so my friend asked her to call again. By 9:45, there was still not taxi. I decided to go back to the room and look in the phone book for a taxi company. By the time I made it back to the front desk, the lady was arguing with my frind and she was yelling at her saying that she had called and it is not her fault they did not show up. The manager was there and seemed a little confused about what was going on, but all we were trying to do was get a taxi and be on our way. We had a short period of time to enjoy our vacation, We did not want to be waiting for a taxi all day. Because of the attitude, I will not recommend this hotel to any of my friends that frequent Washington DC. In addition, I have stayed in numerous Days Inns throughout the country, and the quality and cleanliness of this particular one was far below the standards of others. Devamı
