Location was in downtown area where safety was an issue, also very noisy all night long.

My son and I were heading to Schenectady and I selected Days Inn because I generally have decent stays since it's 'just a bed' that's needed. BIG MISTAKE! The 'ambiance' of the Lobby area is run-down. The room had a mustiness and a slight smell like fermenting fruit. The safe in the room worked only after I fixed the battery pack holder (!). When I […] went to use the ironing board it fell apart in my hands. My son flushed the toilet and the handle came off in his hand (I fixed it). If I wasn't pressed for time I would have raised hell at the front desk but - then again - no one was there when I went down twice!! The next morning our key cards just stopped working (well before checkout) and, when the manager couldn't get them to work (he did cop an attitude thinking I didn't know how to use the card!), he let us in the room ... and walked away with NO NEW KEY CARDS given to us! Even during the Irene tropical storm, the lights (power) stayed on. Check-in only took 2 minutes and, breakfast was very good too.

Was very pleasant indeed. Got exactly what we paid for and a little more. Great overnight stop!

Rooms were spider infested. There were little bugs crawling in the bathroom, the rooms and hallways smelt bad. Would not stay or recommend to anyone. Got rashes from sleeping in the bed. Guess u get what u pay for.

This hotel was within walking distance of downtown Schenectady and minutes from my destination. Double points for convenience. That being said, the elevator was ancient, and I tried to remain as blissfully ignorant about the cleanliness of the hallways and rooms as possible. It was borderline decent.

Great place to stay if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Clean, great service from the front desk, good breakfast. I have read bad revues about this place... must be from people with nothing better to do. It is with in the city so, there are things to do if you have time to kill durring your stay between activities in which you are there for. […] One bad revue must have been written by someone who has more money then I will ever make in my life time. a few screws here and there but overall if your looking to lounge in a hotel this isnt it. but if you need a place to rest your head. perfect. we were at biscox and it was awesome... the only problem was the local cab services were upping there prices cause of the festival. but over all... no complants... nice people working there and great breakfastnook. […] not like other places where theres five million people there Devamı

The Days Inn Schenectady was just gross. That's the best word to describe it. There was a vague smell in the room, the carpets were randomly sticky, the upholstered chairs were stained, the drawers were stuck and had weird stains inside, the tv remote was taped together and barely worked, and there was literally a spitball on the wall of our room. The Days Inn is a 2-star hotel so no surprises that the maintenance of the hotel left something to be desired (the elevator scared the crap out of us). However, the rooms were big enough for two couples to easily share a room for the weekend, and it was clean. The hotel was not as expected. We found some insects in our room & in our beds. The staff vacumed the hallways at 10 pm. We would not go back.

Woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of rats or squirrels scratching and running in the walls and ceiling. Still trying to get a refund or some type of discount. Every time I call the hotel to speak to the manager to discuss the situation he or she is conveniently not there. There is a Holiday Inn directly across the street. I would check […] that out first. The hotel was clean and the staff was great.. The area is a little seedy!!! The continental breakfast was over whelming.... They had everything... For the price and breakfast a great deal!!!!

Despite of the low rate, I was happy to find a nice hotel and a clean and comfortable room. They rate includes the breakfast, which is OK. The hotel has no elevator, so make sure to request a room in the lower floor if you need accessibility. The location is not the best in Schenectady, but the area is not dangerous or anything. I recommend it.

Spent 2 nights in the hotel. First night was not so bad but was quite noisey. Room was on third floor near elevator. Second night was horrible. We were awoke in the middle of the night by a bunch of people running through the hall and hollering. We were startled at first because we were not sure what was going on. Came to realize that some group was […] fighting. Noise quieted down a little until apparently the group was asked to leave. The noise then went on until they got their stuff and departed. Sleep was interruppted and could not get back to sleep. Wound up getting up earlier than expected to continue our travels. Would not stay in this place again because of this experience even though for the price the hotel was okay. Devamı

For the inexpensive rate this Inn was satisfactory enough for a short stay. It is not glamorous but the rooms were clean with comfortable beds(except for the non-fitted sheets) good A/C, TV, and very convenient to all. Great Farmers mrkt on Sundays only blocks away.

We found this place on the web and it fit everything that we were looking for. It was close to where we needed to be and it was good enough for one nights stay. I would not suggest it to anyone looking for something super nice, I mean it was a place to sleep. We were impressed that their was a refrigerator/microwave, safe and iron in the room. I would not recommend this hotel--carpet was dirty, everything in the room was very dusty, and the walls needed cleaning. Hotel is located in a bad part of town and there were unsavory looking individuals hanging around outside in the evening. The hotel even had a notice to not hang around in the parking lot but to go directly to and from your car. […] I would have expected at a minimum not to have to keep my shoes on to walk on the carpet. I have stayed at this Days Inn over the Columbus Day weekend for several years running while visiting friends in the Schenectady area. While the Days Inn has never been to my mind an exemplary hotel, it was cheap and what I was paying for. My dislike for the hotel in this last trip was their insistence in placing me in a smoking hotel room despite my […] specific request for non-smoking. In addition to this, the interior of the hotel seems to be steadily deteriorating, the elevator door may not open on the second floor without repeated urging, and my key (and I protected this from magnetic strips and electronic devices, I am aware of those dangers) took two or three attempts to open the door as a rule rather than the exception. I generally enjoy the Days Inn brand of hotels when I travel and did not have nearly these difficulties in past visits to this particular Days Inn. I hope that I caught them on a bad weekend, and if not, that they are taking steps to improve their quality for future visitors. Devamı

The location on this hotel is good if you want to see a show at Proctor's, do downtown, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful - to our 2 dogs in tow as well - and overall the hotel was fine for what we needed - a place to crash with our puppies for the night. Had we arrived earlier, it would've been nice to have dinner, etc. in the surrounding downtown […] area, which was really in walkign distance. It was clean and neat, but don't expect frills - the building was run down, really depressing-looking rooms, and generally dumpy looking. An old structure, one noisy elevator. Our towels had holes in them. I was taking my child to college,so it worked out okay for one night stay.

Stray pubes and bugs, enough said, right? There's more...the bathroom was literally falling apart and barely functional, the towels smelled gross (burnt, actually), and my personal favorite - moldy leftover coffee filters in the coffee maker from a previous occupant. It was a little out of the way from where we going (Saratoga Springs) It was not in the safest of neighborhoods. Beds were not completely made. Rugs didn't look vacuumed. Toilet was suspended from the wall and moved when you sat down. Shower curtain was not hung properly and stuck halfway into the bathroom. Wi-fi was only available in the hall. The Albany - Days Inn Schenectady is a good place to get some rest while traveling. It is certainly not fancy or luxurious, but is adequate for a night's rest.

Cheap room but outdated to the point of feeling seedy.

TO ME A HOTEL ROOM IS A PLACE TO GET A GOOD NIGHT'S REST AND A PLACE TO FRESHEN UP AND PUT ON CLEAN CLOTHES. A CLEAN ROOM AT A DECENT PRICE ARE THE MAIN THINGS I LOOK FOR. THE SCHENECTADY DAYS INN MET THESE REQUIREMENTS. THE MORNING COFFEE AND BREAKFAST FOOD IS ALSO A NICE INCENTIVE. I HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN […] SATISFIED. Devamı
