Service was good. Tile floor is slippery when wet. The towels were thin. The pool was heated but alot of leaves. Parking was crammed at the far end. Continetal breakfast was cheap. They had small kitchenette.

I stayed there one night but didn't get good sleep at all. The rooms have very poor sound isolation and old 1. AC/Heaters, when people next door turned on their heater it sounded like a Big Rig Truck was staying under my window the whole night. 2. The temperature outside was 42, the heater inside the room's thermostat was showing 80, but the temperature […] in reality was hardly 70, it was very cold inside our room, my nose was completely pluged in before the morning. The thermostat's highest temp edjustment number was 80 and didn't allow to rise it higher. I went to talk to a front desk, the young man at the front desk regretfully told me that he can't help me. If you want to stay there bring your own heater with you. 3. When we arrived some young man and a teenager were working on the car inside the hotels' parking next to the front desk, it looked like we arrived at the garage not at the hotel, it felt unpleasantly. The hotel is clean and convenience to where the conference I was attending.

The staff was nice. The hotel room was quite clean. The hotel was far from most of the major tourist sites. However the neighborhood was safe. I would stay there again.

I kind of agree with both the negative and positive reviews here but at this price point, you shouldn't expect too much. It's a twenty minute walk to a nice beach. There are a few restaurants within easy walking distance. Easy drive to Cannery Row, the aquarium, etc. It wouldn't be hard for them to add hooks near the shower to hang a towel from while […] showering or to switch to a type of lamp that has an outlet in the base for personal electronics. Maybe in their next re-model. I had a fine visit on Presidents' Weekend. Really can't complain. Devamı

Good hotel if you need a place to stop on your way to somewhere else. Not a lot of frills but take care of basics that not a lot of basic hotels do. if you need an inexpensive hotel where you have a lot of inexpensive dining options nearby, short drive to a grocery store, easy access to the highway. you're not in the heart of the city or anything but […] if your goal is to save and you're willing to drive a little bit a good option. This hotel was a place to sleep. It was cheap. It's directly under a fly path of the airport. Husband and I didn't hear much while we were sleeping, but in the mornings it's really loud. The king bed room was tiny. But it had everything you needed. The bathroom was cold. After we showered everything was damp due to the bathroom not being well ventilated. […] The maintenance at this place was shoddy. It was not a pretty place to look at. We had no neighbors the first night, but the second night, we heard everything the neighbors did. Thankfully, they did not stay up late. WHEW. This place is pretty close to all the attractions, so we were happy. I think next time we are down in Monterey, we'll stay at the Motel6, it was cleaner and the planes didn't shake our room. Devamı

We attended Monterey First Night on NYE. The cost of the room was low and it was very clean; had a microwave & mini fridge. My only complaint was that the bed was too hard and the pillows uncomfortable. We need to remember to bring ours from home. Other than that, the location was off the beaten path making it a quiet place to stay.

I just needed a bed & shower for the Big Sur Half Marathon. This place is 1.9miles from the start line. I would stay here again.

Room smelled of curry. It was awful. Hotel is rundown. Worst of all, they charged me $150 for what they claim were damages to the carpet, which is crazy. There were no damages by us whatsoever. Very rude staff when I tried to resolve matter. Avoid this hotel. You will be glad you did.

Not fancy. Not a huge room and pastries for breakfast but clean and big enough. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, nice t.v. and other nicities that made it very comfortable. Only minutes away from Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row.

This was the perfect motel for myself, my sister, and her two granddaughters. The room was spacious, with a great little kitchenette -- frig, stove, microwave and a table with chairs. Neighborhood is busy traffic with some noise, but we had a great room in the back that was quiet. Pool was a great temp so kids could swim. Comfortable and clean.

Decent hotel, has TV, microwave and frigobar. No place to eat the (bad) breakfast. Great location, very close to Carmel and Big Sur. Great valeu for money!

They said it was a non-smoking room but somebody smoked it it at some point. I had to ask to have the television turned on because the remote didn't work. It smelled very musty and stale. There were dirty smudges on the refrigerator door and the freezer needed to be defrosted. Overall, just kinda icky.

The hotel was very clean and conveniently close to all main attractions. I recommend staying in this hotel. Also the room rates were awesome.

overall it was a good stay, 3 nights. The hotel was kept clean and we didnt really have anything to complain about other than the parking was a little tight and the beds were a little uncomfortable for me but I'm picky about that. (bad back) Not luxury but it did its purpose and the employees were nice and helpfull.

Don't stay here! The hotel is a long way from centre of Monterey and on a very busy road near airport. The lady on reception is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Breakfast is terrible and there is just 4 seats for guests to sit at. Room smelt of cleaning fluid and carpet was soaking wet, chairs on bed when we arrived. They did have a free breakfast though I didn't partake- so no idea how it was. The tub needed to be replaced (chipped paint and old rubber/glue on the bottom). I would not bath in it. The sushi restaurant next door was great. Try someplace else unless you are on a budget and get a great deal- just be prepared for a very average (or less) experience […] ... Devamı

Good hotel for the good price

Staff was nice but furnishings were barely passable. All appliances in room run off one extension cord, positioned behind bed for easy accidental pull-out. Commode impossible to use without hitting funnybone. Took several hours to find phone, strangely placed on top of entertainment unit. All in all, barely acceptable and not worth a return. Good hotel for the price--lovely flowers. The toilet stopped up twice, however, and the hotel didn't really fix the problem.

The price was right for our 3 day stay for a local event. The place is a bit old looking and there was a funny odor and stuffiness in the room. Bathroom needs some ventilation other than the huge window that opens to a parking lot.

For the price I cannot really complain. It did have all of the items one would need to stay comfortable with Microwave, Fridg. WiFi, and Coffeemaker Bed slept comfortably and minimal noise concidering we were just 4 doors from the street. Had a simple but nice continental breakfast in there very smal lobby/office area but we just got our rolls and coffee […] and went back to our room. Nice landscaping and flowers all around made it feel real quaint and homey. Room was somewhat dated but for the price you can't beat it. Devamı

the staff was very nice, the rooms were clean, the location is not the best, the group of transient looking people about 8-10 which hang out by the trash cans is not the best part of the hotel.

This rating is about right. Location is very good. Close to a very nice Chinese restaurant with amazing decor inside that restaurant. The rooms are older and have a older smell. However, they were OK. No bed bugs ( I think). The breakfast was nice with fresh pastries. The walls are thin, so you can hear what's going on in the next room. The main issue was the paper thin walls. You could hear guests in the next room. For the price, it wasn't bad. Parking was convenient and there was even a safe to store valuables.

Everything was as good as expected. Good value for money :)

Was looking for an inexpensive hotel for a one night stay mid-week and this place fit the bill. It's located in an area with other similar hotels. There are nearby restaurants and stores. My king non-smoking room was very clean with everything in good working order. It had a small microwave, fridge, hairdryer, good heater/air and decent TV. The comfortable […] king bed and table with two chairs took up a fair amount of room so you won't be luxuriating here. But that's why it's best suited for one or two nights max, probably not a third. The staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel grounds and parking area are well maintained and it's obvious that they take pride in its maintainence. If you must stay right near the aquarium or wharf area you'll pay at least double the price. Those attractions are a 5-7 minute drive from this hotel and then you'll need to park. Devamı

Reasonably clean, spacious, few minutes from Monterey attractions

Price was reasonable, room large and clean, staff nice. Five minute drive to the touristy part of Monterey. Motel's neighborhood had good restaurant choice, a very helpful computer store.

The hotel needs a facelift. The hot tub was dirty. The rooms were small. The owners are indian so the reception smelt of curry. The breakfast was very poor.

Close to airport so you can here the plains. Parking is a bit harder for bigger cars because the loton the smallest side. The room smelled so we had to febreeze it every tome we came in. And the Windows did not shut all the way and could be accessed from the outside. The room was clean, came with a fridge and stove. No cookware or silverware.
