Radisson Blu Hotel - Hamburg

The hotel is serving mostly to the business travellers since there is Congress Center nearby. But it is confortable for short stay. The noise isolation is poor. There was an event/party on the roof floor so I couldn't sleep until 3:00 am.

This Hotel was in a great location, which is why we selected it. 1min to Train station Dammtor and a few minutes train ride to the main station of Huptbahnhof Hbf and other U & S bahns services to anywhere.

Expensive but hey........ You get what you pay for. Some good looking woman staff only bad point for me was other guests and didn't tell me there was a gym until I left.

Lovely hotel but lobby disappointing. Room allocated was on 27th floor with no Wi Fi so asked to move. Ended up with room behind lift which was spacious but noisy so disappointed given cost. I stayed here for 3 nights during the Hamburg Marathon weekend, the hotel is ideally situated for transport links (the dammtor station is just a moments walk outside) and the messe (conference centre) for the marathon start/finish and expo just a 10 minute walk through the wonderful gardens. The room was very comfortable and modern, the bed was fantastic […] and had the chocie of 4 different pillows for those who can't quite the right one. My only complaint would be the cost of breakfast 25EUR which is astronomical and not worth paying if you just want cereal and the fact the dammtor station is within earshot if you have your room windows open. So if your looking for complete tranquility then this may not be the hotel for you. but then it is a inner city hotel and you should expect these things. in summary, I would gladly stay here again, and recommend it to other travellers. The hotel is a great base to explore Hamburg with excellent transport links (it's next to two S/U Bahn stations) It only takes about 25 minutes to get from the airport to hotel. Rooms are very modern & our was compact but not too small

We stayed here for a short 2 night break and the hotel was great, staff were very helpful. We were expecting to arrive quite late at the hotel because of flights and i emailed the hotel just to inform them, on an off chance i would get a reply and they replied quite quickly reassuring us it would not be a problem and there would be staff there etc and […] wished us a safe trip. When we got there, there were no issues what so ever, they were really friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 23rd floor and had a great view, clean, comfy and relaxing. Just what we were after. Comfortable hotel, with very friendly staff. Excellent location with an great view to the Alster river. Close to main attractions. Breakfast is a bit overpriced at 26 euros, that some other customers also said to me who stayed at the Hotel. However, there are many nice places walking distance that offer good alternatives. The description of the hotel […] is misleading by saying that health club comprises a 14-metre pool--there is NO pool, which I was looking forward to! The view is fantastic and the staff are friendly. I had a business class room both times I stayed here and can thoroughly recommend it. Sadly I did not get a chance to use any of the hotels other facilities. Good breakfast layout.

We have been delighted with other Radisson Blu hotels we have stayed in and this one in Hamburg did not disappoint. It is ideally situated only 1 train stop from Central station. We had a Business Class room on the 16th floor and the views were excellent. Would definately stay here if we return to Hamburg.

Really good location, if you have a room on a high floor you get a nice view of the city. Very nice staff. This hotel is ideal for business travel, maybe lacking character if you're on holiday. However, I think 26 euros for breakfast is really really expensive. Hamburg is actually a reasonable city, so you don't need to eat in the hotel when it costs […] this much. Only out of convenience. Also, the room service is not expensive, I chose to order room service a lot in the few days I stayed, so it seems odd to price breakfast so high. If it was more reasonable I would have done so definitely. Another complaint was the Spa in the hotel were hard to get hold of and slow to respond to emails. So I didn't get to use it at the time I wanted to and they no longer had enough time to do all the treatments I wanted. Devamı

The hotel is well located next to Dammtor station making travelling around the city and to and from the airport easy. It is a short walk to the Rathaus and main shopping street and and you can walk to the main tourist attraction near the River Elbe in under half an hour. The staff in the hotel are very helpful, assisting us with several enquiries from […] where we could buy an electrical adaptor to possible strike action at the airport. The room was spacious with a very comforatble bed, international TV channels, a good sized bathroom and wardrobe space. It also had a great view across the city skyline. The Italian restaurant near the lobby has very good food and welcoming staff who try to make you feel welcome. Most of the other guests at the hotel were business guests who use the hotel as it is next to the congress and trade fair centre. Devamı

Good view from Hotel room, dissapointed in condition of room, there was black scuff marks on a number of the walls particularly in the bathroom which I would have expected to have been cleaned off or painted over. No milk cartons in the room just powered coffee cream which mabe ok for coffee but not for tea. Did ask for some at reception as was told […] they only had powder! This hotel is surprisingly good, The staff is friendly and nice, the rooms are great. flag screen tv on every room, comfortable bed, great location. The only down-side is the gym, the equipment is very good, But the gym is incredibly small. And lacks some of the very basic equipment. Overall great hotel, would definitely recommend to anyone!

This is a hotel very conveniently located by the underground and train station. Staff very friendly, the atmosphere at the hotel was good, not biased with certain type of customers. Great hotel, perfect central location, free use of gym, sauna and steam room! room was clean with great views of the city and river. Hotel has two fantastic restaurants. I have already book a second visit at this hotel and will stay here whenever I return to Hamburg.

The stay at the Radisson Blu hotel in Hamburg was excellent. the staff were all very friendly and helpful and all spoke very good english. The location of the hotel was great, with a main station about 3-5 minutes walk, and the city centre about 10 minutes walk. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great choice of cooked and continental food which […] should satisfy most people if not all. The hotel has recently been refurbished, so the decor is modern, the only fault was lack of drawer space (none) which ment you had to use the wardrobe or your suitacse, saying that we will certainly use the hotel again. Very good location next to bahnhof and short walk to Ulster and City centre. Good size room but apart from hanging space, no cupboards, drawers or shelves, had to live out of suitcases. Very small bathroom (shower, no tub) and no surface area for toiletries. One small towel rail for hand towels, bath towels etc hung over shower door. Poor room service, […] used items such as teabags, face cloths etc not replenished and in spite of complaining on first morning, had to ask every day. This hotel is located right next to Dammtor S-Bahn station so it is really easy to get there from the airport. Public areas are spacious and stylish, staff were exceptionally friendly and spoke faultless English despite my speaking to them in German. Buffet breakfast was high quality with a wide selection of dishes. Rooms nicely decorated and well-equipped […] but I was not keen on the wooden flooring because everything sticks to your bare feet and ends up in your bed. Also, the window from the bedroom into the bathroom may not appeal to everyone, especially as the blind is controlled from the bedroom ans not by the occupier of the bathroom. Wierd. I love this hotel, it's business minded and functions flawlessly, service is always spot on, helpful and English is excellent. Even the basic rooms are great, spacious and clean, the high floors meant I had a great view. Hotel is very convenient if travelling in from the airport by train, and also for walking into the main tourist areas. Room was clean and confortable, and the view from the 13th floor was excellent. The restaurant for breakfast on our 1st morning was very disorganised, dirty tables etc and we were told to find our own clean table. At the weekends they are better organised and actually show you to an available table. Wide selection of food for breakfast which was really nice. As indicated by the ratings given, we were very happy with our stay at the Radisson. The staff were most pleasant and helpful, the hotel very comfortable and our room cleaned to a high standard. We liked the area where the hotel is located, beside beautiful gardens and it's close proximity to Dammtor station was a bonus.

Excellent location, right next to the Dammtur Station, which has many connections and is only one stop from the Central Station. Lovely surrounding gardens and a brief walk to the main sights in the centre of town. A very modern and tall building, somewhat gloomy in the hallways. However, very nice room, excellent and helpful service. Two small points: […] the rate at which we booked excluded breakfast (which seems normal at most Hamburg hotels). On checking in, they offered continental breakfast at 20 Euros. This is quite a waste of money as you can buy very nice food at the many shops in Dammtur or eat breakfast there for at most half that. In addition, only relevant if you are sharing: in the room there was a window between the bathroom and the main room. There was a light pull-down blind, but this did not prevent light from the bathroom shining through into the room. Devamı

Great location, and updated renovation. Public transportation is just steps away. You can easily walk to the lake, city hall, shopping center, and is just right next to the convention center.

The location is prime, the hotel is clean, modern and cool. We didn't eat at the resturant but we used the gym and it was totally sufficient. I would certainly recommend this to any business traveller to Hamburg.

The hotel is excellent. One incident indicated how good they were. My girlfriend had a facial which was not satisfactory and a bit unprofessional. She was not going to complain, but the hotel staff asked. Then, she told them about her issues, and they took it seriously and did not charge us for the facial. Only issue was that they use trainees or apprentices […] to do some of the work, and their work could be less than satisfactory. Overall, the hotel was great, and we both loved our stay. Devamı

Had a lovely stay here. Everything was perfect except the sheets on the bed which I found a little rough. If you're a person that likes sleeping with a window open, noise can be a factor too — once the windows shut though, and the aircon on, there should be no problem!
