After reading some of the reviews about this hotel, my expectation wasn't very high. It was located near the church where I was going to attend a concert, so I booked it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The woman at the check-in counter even made fresh coffee for me after midnight while I was using the "business center" computer in […] the lobby. The room was comfortable and very clean. I was worried because it's located right next to the 8 freeway, but it was quiet at night. I would definitely stay there again. Devamı

I will never stay at another hotel located on a freeway, I don't care how much it costs. My budget is very low for hotel stays, so when I find a Holiday Inn Express at a good price, I jump at it. Mistake for this property. Waaaay too noisy.

The hotel was conveniently located,nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great, lots of food. The only negative was that the room I had was on the freeway side and the windows were not well insulated. I heard the noise from the freeway all night. Staff was exceptionally friendly and professional, though the hotel requires an overhaul. Extremely noisy in the rooms being next to the highway.

I was pleased with the cleansing of the hotel,but I had asked for 2 beds and they originally only gave us a room with 1 bed. Overall it was a nice stay.

The person at the desk TJ, was very polite and helpful. There was a mix-up on my reservation and he helped to straighten it out. The room was excellent --in comfort and convenience-and we slept very well--a surprise! MLBurbery

I give the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees an A+. We stay in Holiday Inn Express hotels all the time. The quality of the facility is the worst one we've ever encounted. The paint was peeling, baseboards looked like they'd seen water damage. Three bright lights from a parking lot lit our room up like a football field. Worst of all, we were […] afraid to walk to neighborhood restaurants; there were people hanging out in the parking lot and a guy sitting by the front door drinking a 6 pack of beer. This was one of the nicest hotel staffs I've met, they were very friendly and helpful. You could see the housekeeping staff tried hard to keep the place very clean, too. My only wish was that you could open windows(no screens) instead of relying on the noisy air conditioner. The prior reviews made this hotel sound like a hidden secret at a great price, it is not, it is just ok. Does not compare to most Holiday Inn Express that we have stayed at. Would probably try a different one before coming back. It is not bad it is just ok.

For the price and what we got it was great. Breakfast was awesome and love that it was free. Parking was free and Internet was free. When comparing this hotel to others the freeness was a big perk. The bed and the tv are nice. The outside has been cleaned and painted but once you get inside lookout . Upon checking in I found that the sink in the bathroom would not drain and the room had a horrible odor. I went downstairs to resolve the issue and they had no comparable room to move me to, noone could fix my sink, . They did have a lesser room for […] me to move to but no way they were going to reduce my rate. I originally reserved a suite with a sofa. Parking is not that good . The girl at the counter was not that proficient but I guess she was trying her best. Stayed for a weekend with relatives. Desk personnel were all very helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. How wonderful having fresh baked brownie cookies in the lobby to welcome us! Despite its frontage on the freeway, it was a quiet spot. We landed a room in the rear, overlooking the pool, nice small balcony to grab some fresh air. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights - July 23rd - 27th, 2011. The hotel is a little out of the way from central San Diego - but the freeways make it easy to get anywhere. We were there at the same time Comic Con was on so it was really hard to find a hotel - so this was where we ended up. The hotel staff was very friendly and from the outside the hotel […] was very appealing. The condition inside is a little run down and the hallways are a little dark and dingy. The breakfast room is small but even though the hotel was full when we were there it was always pretty easy to find a table. We did have one day when we got back after being away all day and our room had not been made up - but other than that it was fine. The rooms are spacious and have a pull out couch - could use some updating but the rooms were pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool is small but it was still nice to jump in and cool down. All in all an ok place to stay if you are just there for a few days and not expecting anything too fancy. Devamı

We booked this hotel at the last minute upon deciding to go to Del Mar racetrack for the day and not wanting a long drive home. This was a nice and clean hotel and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The acknowledge you once you enter their lobby which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

It was ok but not as good as other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed at. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly but the hotel a bit run down for the money. I was a bit angry when I left my do not disturb sign on the door and the maids took it off, came in, and moved my stuff and cleaned anyway.I would not stay again.

From the front desk to the staff at breakfast, we were greeted with smiles and always made to feel welcome. When we mentioned the terrible condition of the pull out matteress our children were suppose to sleep on, the problem was solved with a roll away bed. The breakfast staff was always there to help and refill, and when we got there at the last minute […] and stayed past time, they still made us feel welcome and never rushed us. Arrived Friday night and stayed until Monday. There were fresh cookies in the lobby on Friday when we checked in. We received a phone call about 30 minutes after we checked in from the front desk, checking to see if all was well with the room. It was, the bed was comfortable, the refrigerator was good and cold and everything worked and was clean. Front […] desk people were nice and friendly and handled things in a timely fashion. The breakfast was better than other hotels I have stayed at however, only half of the toaster worked and the pancake machine didn't work and apparently couldn't be fixed but was not removed. Would most definitely stay again!... bath tubs need replacing! other than that little imperfection, everything was GREAT!

Not a bad place, but it is noisy if you get a room facing the freeway. We had one room facing the freeway and one where the window was perpendicular to the freeway, and the one facing the freeway was a lot louder. Nice breakfast room and a nice selection of goodies to eat. The maid did a great job.

This is a very noisy hotel (next to the freeway) if you need quiet don't stay here. The rooms are clean and nice and the staff is helpful.

Helpful check-in. They had a computer and printer for customer use. When I asked if they would recommend a place where I could go to send a fax, they offered to do it for me at no charge. Room was spacious and wi-fi connection was very good. Continental breakfast was more than I expected. Shopping center was within an easy driving distance. The front desk young lady was very nice and she was very professional and helpful. The room was clean and good beds. The breakfast was really good a nice variety of food to choose from and the place was well supplied, nice and clean. the only thing that bother me was kids from another room running in the halls and jumping on the beds late at night and […] early in the morning...but that has something to do with their parents, not the hotel...Might be helpful if the hotel notify in writing to everybody about what is not polite to do when you stay in a hotel to avoid inconvenience to other guest. Cost was high for the quality / age. Only 1 good restaurant within walking distance, although there were lots within a short driving distance. The location was not convenient for business downtown or at the Naval Station, although it would be perfectly fine for areas further east or north. The evening staff was very helpful and VERY friendly. The morning staff NEVER greeted me once. My room was clean and a good size my only real complaint with it was the cable reception was lousy and had very limited channels. The staff did try to fix it but was unsuccessful. Overall was a very nice stay in a good location.

Rooms were clean and appeared to be recently updated. Located along side CA Interstate 8, little traffic noise in our room. Breakfast was ok, better to stick to cereal than go for the hot food selections. Staff was polite.

The staff was very nice and even walk out to my car and assisted me with my luggage.

My sister and I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The beds were quite comfy and the room very clean and quiet. It is right next to the freeway (I-8) in La Mesa which was a convenient location for our family visit to east county. We enjoyed eating each morning in the pleasant breakfast room where the free breakfast had enough variety to satisfy us. The room was actually quite spacious with nice amenities ( fridge, microwave, coffee maker) but the air conditioner was a wall unit and it let in all the traffic noise (hotel is near a freeway). This wouldn't have been so bad if the air conditioner had been working properly. It had a setting for having the fan on high, low or automatic and we set it […] for low, but it would come on and go off (on high) every time the compressor kicked in and it was quite loud. This woke us up quite often. We were only staying one night, so calling management to do something about it in the middle of the night just didn't seem worth it. The breakfast in the morning was more than danish and coffee; we had eggs, bacon and the usual breads and fruits. If the air conditioner hadn't been a problem, this would have been an enjoyable stay.
