Days Hotel West Chester - Brandywine Valley - West Chester

The room was clean and comfortable but the walls were so thin that I could hear every word spoken by the 2 young children in the room next to me as well as their mother yelling at them... Starting at 7am. This place is great as long as you don't have any neighbors.

Great location if you are working in the West Chester area. Very easy to find and close to restaurants and highways. It is very difficult to get into and out of the hotel parking lot because there is no traffic light and it opens up to a major highway.

this was the most uncomfortable place I think I ever stayed at. the sink must have had the wrong fossit on because when you turned on the water it didn't even go into the basin it went all over the counter. The bathroom was even worse...you couldn't step into the tub properly because the commode was so close to the tub. There was nothing to hold on […] to getting in and out...dangerous. When we left the hotel for dinner and came back it was raining and we could not get into the entrance door at the wing of our room. I spoke to the girl the next morning and she said that was normal for the card keys they had......will NEVER stay there again Devamı

Pillows, while new, were very stiff. (no feather pillows available). Found stink bugs in room. Towels very rough. Diificult to get to room.

The room was very decent for the price we paid. The king bed was comfy and so were the pillows. The bathroom was a bit small and not a lot of room to put your toiletries out. Good shower. Breakfasts are very reasonably priced. Good location, close to downtown West Chester. One slight draw back was not being able to turn left out of the hotel entrance, […] so if you needed to go south on 202, you had to turn right and then do a U turn somewhere. Devamı

The hotel was clean and quiet. The large exterior lights were a nice muted blue instead of the usual bright white spot lights at most hotels which was great when you wanted to sleep at night. The housekeeping staff was polite and accommodating. The building is a bit older and the elevators are on the smallish side, but these were minor concerns that […] did little to detract from our stay. While the location is slightly difficult to get into, it is fairly close to everything in town. Devamı

The room was not in the best of condition. The bathroom was tiny and had no place to put toiletries. The drapes on the windows don't close so there is a lack of privacy and the light comes in the window all night. I would not stay there again.

Nice hotel, clean, polite staff. Overall very positive experience. I would definitely stay there again. Only two minor complaints, I stayed two nights and they didn't come in my room and tidy up after my first evening. On departure morning I left at 5:30 am and the usual lobby coffee wasn't ready yet.

The bathrooms are pretty small and the bathroom sink is in the dumbest spot--immediately next to the door when you walk in the room. Also, this is the first hotel in many hotel stays in a while that didn't offer a free continental breakfast. They charged $6 bucks for some eggs, bacon, and toast. clean and well priced rooms. Smoke dector was disconnected. Advertised with a refrigator and micowave ourroom did not have but our friends room did have.

Unlike some of the other reviews I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and I never had a problem getting help. The food at the restaurant for diner was good (I was surprised that the bar was closed early Saturday night. The breakfast buffet was cheap and the food was ok for the price.

I needed a room for 1 night so I was for a comfortable place for the night. In the past I have stayed at Days Inn and had traditionally been comfortable. That was not the case for this hotel. Linens were dingy, room had a odor and there were a pair of socks I am assuming left by the previous person in the room under the sheets of a made bed that I got […] in to sleep. Found this a great place at bargain price. Clean, pleasant . Close enough to Kennett Square, Brandywine Valley attractions to plan a return visit

I know there is a lot of traffic in the lobby but it was disgusting. someone needs to sweep at least once every hour. I even saw someone's finger nail clipping. First impressions are important and the lobby needs to be clean.

I liked this hotel although there were things on my carpet that should have been cleaned after the last guest. The bedspread had a funny smell as well. Free internet is always a plus. The restaurant was nice and my waiter Rodney was great. He made sure he checked on me often. He was my waiter for dinner, the when I came down for breakfast the next morning […] he was there again. Hotel is a pit. Understaffed, could not handle the large group that was there and therefore every other occupant suffered . Clothes were missing out of my room and they told me that I obviously misplaced them and someone had vomited numerous places in the hallway on a Saturday night, the front desk was told and the vomit still was there in the hallway […] the next morning. We checked in on a Friday and the desk staff was pleasant and accomodating but that all changed on SAturday adn Sunday. We would never stay there again. Devamı

it was a good hotel that fit our needs and the price was right also-no complaints

Overall, this is a very nice hotel for the money. The hotel pool is very nice and there is also a very nice breakfast buffet for a modest price. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was very small and the tub did not drain properly.

It looked as if they were in the midst of some renovations, however, our room had some renovations but not some of the necessary ones! There was a ceiling mount for a smoke detector, but there was no smoke detector. There was an odd vent cut into the shower stall which seemed unusual. There was a large mildew stain on the wall of the bedroom area. For […] approx. 2 hours the radio in the next room played extremely loudly and when we called to complain, the night clerk said they had just rented the room and that someone had probably left it on, but he did not offer any apologies, nor any offer to check on it. To be quick, my wife and our two kids we had a good time, in this Hotel, the bed was very soft and nice, the breakfast was always good, nice waiter.

A one night stay became a game of musical rooms. We had to first change the room because the air conditioning was not working. The second room had a leak under the sink. We didnt change the room because we had to go to a concert in Longwood gardens and did not have time. There were other people in the hotel who also complained of leaks. the motel needs […] a lot of renovatve work. You walk from one building to the other and you cn feel the air get warmer. The people working at the motel were wonderful. they did try to accomodate us. But this is not a place I would reccommend Devamı

Beds were not comfortable and pillow were worse. Room was not cleaned well. I dropped a sheet of paper on the carpet the first day it was not cleaned up in the four nights that I spent their.

People should not expect a fancy luxurious hotel when staying here, but the price reflects that. What you do get though is a very good average room that is very clean and comfortable. The bed was great, the bathroom was fairly good and everything was clean. The staff was good and polite, the food in the restaurant was good. I was very satisfied with the room itself. For a week's stay, I wished there was a mini-fridge. Hallways and general condition sort of run down but room was great for the price. Close to major roads but very difficult to pull out of the parking lot in the mornings due to traffic. A couple shady people stayed there, but I felt safe as a single woman. […] Housekeeping was ok, but supplies weren't replenished unless asked and I don't think the vacuum was run during my stay. this hotel has been through some rough times it was a Holiday Inn and then had no brand name and is now a Days Hotel. It has potential being so close to a college but everything in it is old. We had a suite and our room was recently painted. It was clean enough but our air conditioner did not work and our toilet did not flush well our bathtub did not […] drain, the spigot was loose. The regular rooms are very small. It is ok in a pinch but I think we will find another place to stay next time even if it costs a little more and is further away from the college. Devamı

I stayed in a single king size bedroom. The room was tiny but more than sufficient for one or two people. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean.

Good value and location for exploring the area. Clean hotel, polite, professional staff. Would definately stay again.

The room was quite small, but had been redecorated recently. Price was right! Room was clean and efficient.

The room and all common areas were very clean. The personnel was very polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. I would stay again!

A great location for activities at West Chester University. The hotel staff was very helpful in providing information about administrative functions for the graduation activities at the University.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. Had problem connecting to the Internet which was very problematic, and prompted me to change rooms 3 times with the hope to fix the situation, finally resolved and not sure how. Hotel is a bit old, but well cared for.

The staff was excellent (barring one less than interested waiter in the restaurant). Our room was clean and comfortable, excellent pillows, nice linens and really nice towels. It is an older hotel with a nice new veneer, so sadly that means thin, uninsulated walls left us listening to neighbors yak next door well into the wee hours... not much to do […] about that - just be forewarned. I just recently stayed at the hotel while visiting family. The hotel was newly renovated and room was great. 4 of the 5 staff members I talked to there were very kind. They did have 1 guy who worked the desk on April 11th at ~8am that was a complete jerk to one of the other patrons; he then proceeded to mock the lady to the other customers after she […] had left!
