Rosemont Hotel O'Hare - Chicago 41.97973, -87.86221

I WOULDNT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL THEY HOLD MONEY FROM UR CARD RIGHT AWAY BUT THEY WONT PUT IT BACK TO UR CRAD UNTIL SEVERAL DAYS AFTER LIKE 5 OR 6 DAYS AFTER.THE ROOM NONE OF THEM HAVE MICROWAVE OR REFREGIRATOR. THE ROOM WAS NICE BUT DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE OR UR TIME AND RIGHT NOW THEY ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION SO ITS EVEN WORST ...

The employees were friendly but they seemed overwhelmed - they were going in a million directions. There is construction at the facility and there is no clear visible directions as to where to park or how to get to the hotel. We walked to the wrong hotel at first and then walked around the the hotel to find the front was not open because of construction. This would have been a lot worse if the weather was colder. The lobby was goregous - very contempory - but the rooms were not updated. Overall the stay was average.

ok, Hotel was in a great location but it is under contruction right now and was a pain in the butt to get into. I couldnt figure out where to get into the hotel and where to get into the door. Valet was offered for 28.00 which I shouldve done considering how much trouble it was to get situated and parking was an additional 18.00 anyway. They had a beautiful picture of a bar on the picture reviews, and since we werent staying at a downtown Chicago hotel and wanted to be able to stay up and drink without going far.. it looked perfect. The bar closed.. not at 2am like described but I think it was like 12am. So we had to go down the street to Doubletrees bar (which was nice but closed at 130) Im sorry, if you're going to Chicago on a Sat. night to party and a concert.. you expect places to stay open till they say they will be. There were no other amenities that the hotel offered.... things may be listed.. but not offered or available. On the other hand the bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. Lucia at the front desk was WONDERFUL. Exactly the type of person that place needs to have tenants go from pissed to pleased.. or at least content with whatever happened. She called our taxi and was so nice I didnt even want to complain about the construcation or not knowing Id have to pay for parking. :) All in all, Id take a Lucia and another hotel.

Hotel was under major renovations. The place looked like a Ghost Town. The restaurant staff was friendly. The airport shuttle driver and bell hop guy were great. The front desk clerks were nonchalant and not very helpful. No water pressure for showers. Phones did not work in room even though they were plugged into jacks. A maintenance guy came up and we had phones when he left. The carpet was horrible! Heating/Cooling system out of date and smelled like something burning. Did have a very nice 32" LCD TV!

I went to the wrong hotel initially because there is apparently 3 hotels within a mile all named the "Rosemont O'Hare", two are Hyatt hotels. There really should be more distinction. The hotel was under renovation, so I had to come in from the side entrance and couldn't tell much about the looks from the outside. While I was checking in, the person working the counter quoted to someone on the phone a wlk in rate that was 10% cheaper than my internet price. The Hotel istelf looked nice on the inside and the room was very updated. I was using what appeared to be a key and not a card, which was odd.

If you are flying into or out of Chicago O'Hare it is convenient. For a long stay not worth it....nothing around it except office buildings. Do check charges when you are leaving, the hotel put an item on the bill that had previously been paid. Parking at $18 a day was way out of line. Personally I would not stay there again.

the hotel is under going many renovations and the staff are very rude.

The hotel was doing some construction on the outside, it appeared, and it was very difficult to find the hotel entrance and the parking situation was a little confusing. However, once inside, the hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room was nice, albeit a little on the older side. Still, it was clean, had a very comfortable bed and my room had a FANTASTIC view to the east of the Chicago skyline! Very easy access to and from O'Hare Airport, decent neighborhood with some good restaurants nearby (if you have a car) and downtown was about 20 miles away. I would stay again. I would stay again.

I booked the hotel to stay over with my cat on the way to NY. Unlike all the wonderful reviews at hotels.com, hotel was a mess to get in and out. It has the new ownership, under massive main entrance construction, staff wasn't helpful (10/28/09 current) and unexpected day parking fee of $18 (you also need to buy day pass to use internet). There were bunch of lost guests outside the hotel and the lobby. We were helping each other instead of getting help from the hotel staff. Once you (somehow) manage to get to the room, the room was great. It was very roomy and clean (weak water pressure and no refrigerator though). Overall, I was not impressed by the hotel staff and in was a nightmare to get in and out. I would never stay at this hotel for the amount of money and service I received.

Very nice hotel. The first thing that we noticed (other than the renovation work at the entry) was that all of the hotel staff were very friendly. Our room was large, the bed comfortable and the flat screen TV very large. No coffee maker in the room but coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. Within walking distance of a CTA station.

The hotel rooms are very nice and the people that work there are too they are awesome. The hotel was renovating so the lobby was conjusted a little not much tho but overall the hotel is wonderful i would recommend you stay here oh yeah if you drive no that it is a 18 dollar parking fee(self parking) 30 dollar valet fee yikes!! i know right but still a wonderful hotel hard to find so look to the sky its right next to embassy suites

Nice location, nice hotel, not worth the price. Did not have a thermostat, only a sliding button, made room hot or cold. The bed only had a comforter, no sheets. Down the hall, someone had ordered room service. The plates stayed outside the room for 24 hours!! The workout area was okay, but the TV's did not even have remotes.

The down top mattresses were down-right delicious!

great hotel, bad decor but for the money very good place to stay. Not very close to the city obviously but they have a shuttle that'll take you to the train station which is very handy.

I recently stayed here while taking a course at the nearby Intercontinental. The front desk staff, particularly Lucia, was extraordinarily effective and competent. The morning coffee, and the happy hour on Wed or Thurs was a hit with our group.

Great rooms, comfortable beds, very clean. Negative: we had to pay $18 to park and no free internet.

One) Directions to drive to this hotel were quite confusing as was the hotel entrance. Two) The room was nicely sized and came with a flat screen television which was quite nice. Bed linens were incomplete! Three) Hotel restaurant could not even cook simple eggs and bacon. The price of a meal would certainly suggest better quality food. Never again.

This hotel was definitely luxurious, and a reasonable price at hotels.com's rate. It is right across the street from the Donald Stephen's Convention Center in Rosemont, which make is super convenient for anyone attending a show/conference there. My only complaint is that one of the consierge's didn't really know much about the surrounding area (constantly looking things up- which is better than misleading information but it was just a slow process). Also, the bathroom had bamboo stocks which was great, but there were only 2 (which is BAD luck, as opposed to 3 shoots which is good luck)! Overall a good deal for an upscale hotel- thanks hotels.com!

There was no microwave, tea and coffee making, fridge, especially WIFI in rooms and the lobby, the reception kept telling us that there was 10 mins internet access providing for guests. Apart from that it was OK.

The Beds were the fluffiest! It was like I was sleeping on a cloud. That's all I've been talking about! :)

The Rosemont was a pretty nice hotel, especially considering the price we got through hotels.com with virtually no lead time. It was clean, convenient, and very comfortable. One drawback was the expensive Valet or self-parkign, but luckily we did not have a car this time. Over all I'd give it a 4/5.

wish they had free parking though..18/day seld park wasnt bad..but great location...super clean rooms..very comfy beds..def will stay again..and great price..

The hotel staff was wonderful throughout the stay and provided service in a courteous, professional manner. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic! The complementary toiletries were abundant and quite nice. The only negatives were the parking situation at the hotel was a bit confusing, and the skybridges do not contain signs directing you to the hotel. Also, don't take the stairs, they lead to a labrinyth difficult to get out off. We will definitely use this hotel again when we visit Chicago.

Despite the fact that one has to pay for parking the overall experience at the Rosemont Hotel was amazing. Friendly and considerate concierges and a clean room. I'd definitely make a return there.

This hotel was a great value. The only complaints I would have are that the hotel is a long ways from the loop or anything else a tourist is going to see (about a 45 minute ride on the el) and that there arent many places to eat around here at all. With that said, since it was half or even a third of most other places that are closer to the loop I'd still stay here next trip I take to Chicago. It was a great value.

Pros: Most things are as expected for such a hotel. Service is great, pool is clean, gym is great. There is even a sauna that seemed functional, though I haven't tried it. Cons: You may be surprised that the parking is not free - surprised because it is listed under amenities and it is never mentioned that there is $18 a day fee per car. Also, during reservation, there may be a surprise if you have a small child. The additional price for the 3rd person (e.g. 2 adults and a child) will be displayed only at the end of reservation process. The hotel will charge you additional $50 fee up front for the damages and if you don't make any they will return the money later. This is different from many hotels I've visited - those charge you only if you make damages.

The staff were very friendly and professional, the room was big and comfortable, and the transportation was exceptional.

It is a very nice, attractive hotel. The staff was very curtious. My room was clean and well-stocked with shampoo and soap. The restaurant was really great as well; the food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. They also validate parking, which was fabulous!

In transition, kind of gloomy,restaurant expensive and not very good.
