Meliá Avenida América - Madrid

Needed a hotel close to Madrid Airport for one night - so it was OK for the price. Rooms were OK but had a musty stale smell. Sheets had seen better days! Breakfast was a great surprise - one of the best buffet breakfasts ever especially for the price - great value.

Service would most likely have been great if you speak Spanish...I don't and they treated me pretty bad. The hotel is fine if you are just passing through because of the ease of access to the airport and the cleanliness of the rooms. Stay away from the staff and you'll be fine.

Nice hotel, excellent location for business, next to a nice quiet park, although front street is busy and badly paved. Rooms are simple and slightly outdated, but clean and good value for money. No coffee or tea in the room, which perhaps is reflected in the price. Restaurant bar is very good. Two computers with printers accessible. Gym and classes […] are free (great spinning class!). But access to the pool is 20 euro plus 3 for a compulsory fabric cap... Overall good, but don't expect spa to be included! Devamı

The hotel was nice and would have been great if I was there for business. As a weekend getaway with someone special they do offer Spa services, but if you plan to use them plan to spend the day at the hotel and not venture out for lunch.

Bus 146 takes you from its terminal, les tha 50 meters from the hotel´s door to the city center (Callao) it other terminal. average frecuency every 20 minutes, average transit time 30 to 45 minutes.(up to 23:30 hs) delightfull breakfast buffet.

The hotel was okay, but room wasn't great, certainly it is not 4 stars hotel. The worst thing is is to believe that in the airport shuttle, it doesn't work as it was promissed. First of all I was waiting at the airport almost 1 hr, did 2 calls, cost me about $15, the taxi costs 15 euros, the driver wasn't polite at all. Good location: 10 min away from the airport and 10 min walk to nearest Metro station. Nice park nearby. Very comfortable room with quality toiletries, free Wi-Fi, etc. Helpful and very friendly staff; superb service. Only nag: pricey breakfast

Average hotel. Practical for business trips close to the airport with a free shuttle to the airport. Nothing interesting in the neighborhood, but the bus line 146 direct to downtown is at the hotels door.

The hotel was wonderful- the room, the employees- everyone was helpful and informative- really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There is an inexpensive public bus that picks up residents right in front of the hotel which goes to central madrid. It was very easy to get around. Also there was a wonderful dining room and a nice bar. […] We ate a later dinner at the bar and there was an excellent piano player that played while we ate. The waitress went above and beyond with the service- we werent sure if we wanted the soup and she brought out samples to see if we liked it before ordering. We highly recommend the hotel Devamı

Good hotel to stay at if needing a layover for a flight the next day. Check the shuttle times to the airport; they are infrequent.

I have stayed in this hotel many times and have been happy with it. However, I have noticed that the level of service has gone down somewhat. In addition, my room was on the second floor which smelt very strong of cigarette smoke. Very uncomfortable stay. I would still recommend the hotel in the hope that this was an exception.

I should have known better than to stay when I saw that we were the only patrons. The service, I grant you, was excellent, but one does not eat service. My son ordered entrecote -- and got the most gristly, uninteresting piece of stewing steak that could have been dredged up anywhere -- the poorest excuse for beef that I have ever seen. My lamb chops, […] which I had ordered rare, were anything but -- and whY? Because they were so transparently thin that it would have been impossible to broil them and leave anything remotely rare. The meat from those six chops amounted to a teaspoon full -- not enough to still my hunger pangs. I shall never return. Devamı

This hotel is lovely and brilliant for business trips as it has everything you may need- WiFi, airport transfer, clean rooms. However, if what you want is sightseeing, recommend you stay somewhere better located.

Lo mejor el desayuno buffet. La habitación estaba bien, buena cama, la red wifi funcionaba bien con el teléfono (no tanto con el portátil). Muy buena limpieza. El trato en recepción estupendo también. En lo negativo, sólo teníamos un enchufe al lado de la cama. Y los pasillos exteriores a las habitaciones parecen más de un hotel de 2 estrellas, no está […] en consonancia con el resto del hotel; tienen una moqueta vieja que huele un poco mal, pero en realidad esto no supone mayor molestia. La habitación muy limpia y espaciosa y la entrada principal e instalaciones correctas pero los pasillos están anticuados y el ascensor está echo polvo por dentro...pintura y demás.En cuanto a la distancia,la ubicación es buena y el servicio es muy atento y profesional.

Es un muy buen hotel si viajas con coche,estuve 5 noches y aparque sin problemas y sin pagar siempre en la puerta del hotel.La habitación triple bastante amplia.El unico fallo es que en los alrededores no hay nada.El personal del hotel de 10.

L'hôtel est confortable avec une salle de sport et un SPA superbe (le SPA est en supplément malheureusement comme les soins) Le restaurant est excellent et très sympathique après une journée dans Madrid, même si l'hôtel est excentré l'accès en bus 146 permet de rejoindre le centre ville rapidement (1,5 euros le trajet) Globalement un sympathique hôtel […] avec un personnel très serviable, en particulier alina à l'accueil que je félicite tout particulièrement ainsi que les profs de sport très disponibles Excellent séjour en tout cas !!! スペインでも特に有名な高級ホテルチェーン・メリア。　私も何か所か泊まったことがあるのですが、このアベニーダアメリカは、特に落ち着いていると思います。　部屋に入ると、まるで周りに誰もいないかのごとくの静寂。タオル、シーツ、ベッドのマットレス、枕、どれをとっても質がよく、とにかくよく休まるんです。観光に便利な場所では決してありませんが、マドリッドで飛行機を降りて、別の飛行機や電車に乗り換える場合、ここでの宿泊は旅の疲れを忘れさせてくれると思います。私も深夜遅くまでやっているルームサービスのサンドイッチを食べて、そのままベッドで大の字になるのを楽しみにしているんですよ。
