I have to say that I was really impressed with my room...nice and quiet, great bathroom and fantastic bed. I had hoped to use the fitness room but that ended up being a small room with a treadmills and some ten pound free weights. I had several issues with this hotel. The location is generally convenient to downtown and most of the staff was friendly. However, I would not stay here again. First, I found someone else's Breathe Right strip in my shower. Second, the thermostat didn't work - I had to turn it off and open window to get room under 75 degrees. Third, the gym is right […] off of the pool and the chlorine smell was so overpowering that it made me physically ill and unable to work out. Fourth, the immediately surrounding neighborhood is a little sketchy - I live in the heart of a major city and I didn't feel comfortable venturing out alone after dark. Finally the shuttle for the train station was running very late and the people at the hotel didn't seem to care at all. A group of us managed to flag down a cab (there aren't that many just driving around so we were lucky) to get us to the station. Devamı

Absolutely one of the finest hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was very safe, very clean, the staff was helpfull and friendly, lots to do. Staff helped me find the hotel when I called them on the phone. Staff treated me like I lived at the hotel. We were a bit disappointed, but, in all fairness, we were looking for a different kind of hotel, one with more traditional services, not the 'stripped down' hotel that we experienced with you. I do not say that your hotel does not serve a purpose, but, unfortunately, it did not serve our purpose.

looking for little swim in between family gathering, and lights in albany. enjoyed pool with 4yr old. had great nite sleep even next to road way. breakfast was surprisingly more than expected. my boy loved the pancake machine. a trip thrown together cheaply and for us simply.

My wife and I stayed here last week for a night, for a quick getaway before the New Year's weekend. I wanted a hotel that was reputable, had free breakfast, and was convenient to both the downtown Albany area, and the surrounding highways. This hotel fit all those criteria. We were able to walk around to a nearby restaurant one night, and take an afternoon […] walk around the legislative buildings and museums the following day. They have a free shuttle that offers drop-off/pick-up service (which we didn't use). They allowed us to leave our car in the lot while we took our stroll, even after we had checked out, which was very nice of them. All in all, I would stay here again. Devamı

The hotel is near all downtown events, watering holes, and great places to eat.

located downtown but in a less than desirable neighborhood. Not close to anything. Room was marginally clean. Staff less than friendly. I requested nonsmoking room but was given a smoke filled room. The matter was not corrected.

Room clean--hallway carpets spotted. Could do better for the money

The hotel was very good. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was very good. I am planning another trip to the Albany area next month and will be booking at your hotel again. I would highly reccommend this hotel.

after you find the entrance, that is. we took two wrong turns trying to get to the hotel whose sign we could see from blocks away! and even, once inside the correct entrance, finding the front door isn't as easy as you'd expect... it looks more like a side entrance (but it's not.) and i was a bit apprehensive when i saw that the hotel is really close […] to a highway overpass! however, once i stepped inside, my worries were forgotten and i spent a much needed relaxing evening in total comfort and, yes, QUIET!!! staff were ready & helpful. my room was well appointed, everything felt new and very very clean. the bed and sheets were comfortable and i fell and stayed asleep all night. and seriously, i don't know what they did or how they did it, but i really mean NO NOISE from the highway overpass! really quiet hotel!!! if you just need someplace clean, comfortable and well located to spend the night in albany, i would totally recommend this hotel. much nicer than it's star rating, probably because they don't have some of the amenities other hotels have. but as i said, if you're just here to sleep, you'll have a quiet, clean, spacious room in which to do it. I always check the hotel beds for fear of bed bugs and I was pleased to see how clean the beds were, like new. I have stayed at this location a couple of times and would be glad to go back.

well kept facility and up to date. Even had a port for an electric vehicle. How cool is that.

We got there late at night and the hotel only had smoking rooms left and the concierge was nice enough to go upstairs and air out the room and freshen it thank you for the hospitality.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The room was more than we had expected. The breakfast was one of the best inlcuded breaksfast we have had at a hotel in a long time. Staff were great.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again next time in Albany.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is not great but seems to be due for regeneration. Not many restaurants nearby but we walked about 15 minutes and found a very good bistro attached to the Marriott hotel.

We have one negative remark only. I was unsatisfied of the cost of the transport between the hotel and the station. I have been interested to the Holiday Inn Express because it was indicated in the publicity that we could benefit of a " shuttle" between the hotel and the station of Amtrak on the other side of the river. There was no shuttle, neither […] to the departure nor at the arrival... Costs of two cabs: 20$ at the departure 30$ at the arrival. It is really not acceptable for a ride of less than 10 minutes. The area around the hotel is, at least in my opinion, not safe to be out at night. Its a typical downtown core hotel , where everone leaves the area for the suburbs. Unless you have business downtown do not stat at this hote.

Great location. Very quiet. Breakfast was okay, but could do with more healthy choices, not just bananas. Staff was very friendly and the room very clean.

We picked because we were getting in late by train and it was close enough. (We walked, but would recommend grabbing a cab). Free breakfast was nice and unexpected.

Not at all. My husband and I are from a small town and not use to the "big" city life. ;>) When we first pulled up we saw a man who looked to be homeless, very scruffy, and dangerous due to the actions he displayed. So, we were very apprehensive about staying in this part of the city. But, when we went inside the hotel, and talked to the concierge about […] the area, he relieved our fears. He said that our motorcycle will be safe parked outside the doors, and that the hotel was checked by watchmen during the night as well as by local police. He recommended several Pubs that were walking distance where we could get some dinner. And he was right! We got an excellent meal at The Franklin Towers, and our motorcycle was not disturbed at all! They even had a shuttle to take you to where you needed to go and bring you back. (especially if you should not be driving!) Our overall experience was very satisfying and I recommend it to everyone! The hotel was in a very convenient location. Very friendly and helpful. Ease of check-in was wonderful. Rooms were very clean and that includes the bathroom which is a must have. From the minute I checked in the service couldn't have been better. I was there for business and wanted a quiet room. As I was checking in, he noted that the people in the room next to mine were bringing beer up to their room and he immediately changed my room without me even asking. Great value for the price. Nice facilities with sauna/steam room/gym, complimentary breakfast.

Easy drive from Train station with available shuttle bus.Friendly, helpful staff,palatable breakfast. Able to enjoy a leasurely swim in the indoor pool before continuing our journey. Overall pleasant experience.
