Inns Of Virginia - Arlington - Arlington

Clean and basic facilities helped out by friendly staff. I had a quiet stay for 3 nights with all facilities needed including free wifi. Breakfast buffet doesn't have much choice so is boring after 3 days.

Hotel under renovation....wet paint, drop clothes in hall...bags of dirty linens on floor in hall at 4:00pm..no cots...charged for 3rd adult in room,2 double beds when you sat at the head of bed the bottom of bed flipped up like a see-saw...no extra towels, personal care products not replenished. Breakfast consisted of prepackaged muffins, danish, small […] containers of oj, coffee, tea....no lids for coffee...in room coffee was just that...no sugar or creamer...just a small packet of coffee...had to go get iron, ironing board and hair dryer, but there was only one plug in the room...had to unplug clock to iron....needless to say, not real happy, but we had prepaid and we were there to attend a funeral at Arlington National so we were stuck.... The hotel is very good considering its cost, reasonably clean and comfortable. The room has refrigirator and microwave. Breakfast is primitive, and I did not have it. The hotel location is not difficult to find, just check google map before going. The neighborhood looks fine.

We stayed for five days, we had gotten a queen because we have a 7 month old and they don't offer cribs. When we went into the room it was only a double. The room is small and they were renovating so the hallways smelled of paint. The breakfast was muffins and apples. But great food located just up the street and a Safeway within walking distance. Plus side: - Relatively cheap - Good car parking - Car gets very close to main door to unload - Location is easy to get to Arlington Cemetry or DC attractions if have a car - Chinese restaurant 400 metres away - Free ice machine - All 4 staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful - CLEANING WOMAN CARRIED ONE OF MY SUITCASES DOWN A FLIGHT […] OF STAIRS. SHE DID NOT NEED TO DO THAT. I NEVER ASKED. I NEVER MADE IT EVEN SEEM LIKE I NEEDED HELP. THAT WAS REALLY NICE AND MAKES A STAY THAT MUCH NICER. - Had maps available and the receptionist told me how to get to all the places I wanted to get to - Room was very quiet (except for fridge) - They were doing renovations (so many motels don't do that quick enough) Negative side: - No lift (so carrying bags upstairs may be problematic for certain people) - Fridge a bit noisy (but there is little the management can do if it's in a small room and near the bed) Value for money was really good. nice for the price

We were staying at this location as we had tickets to the White House and were planning on spending the day in downtown D.C. For the proximity and price I can't at all complain. The rooms weren't amazing and could use work in a few areas but nothing worth complaining about. Close to a few metro stops although we had to backtrack a bit to find one with […] parking. Hotel is what I expected. It is a budget hotel and for a budget hotel it was clean and comfortable. The furnishings are older but hotel had fresh coat of paint and maintenance and upkeep was good. Good place for a short stay

Conveniently located, one mile from Georgetown and on the way to IAD airport. Nice rooms, with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom with bath tub. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast included but very light and cold only: beverages and cellophane wrapped danishes and apples. Not a place to stay for entertainment. A bare bones hotel, although cheap enough. Do not rely on breakfast too much.

It was ok for a place to stay on business just to sleep... but glad my wife was not with me. She would have not wanted even to take a shower in the bathroom.

The room was quite acceptable for the price.

Although the hotel boasts of non smoking rooms, hotel smells of cigar all over the hallway and the rooms. Good location, complimentary breakfast is okay, but the service on call particularly during nights is bad. No good internet connectivity. When you complain about a problem during night, the front office girl requests to call back again next morning. […] This shows no-cooperation between the staff members when they change shifts. I called to get directions to the hotel. We had a GPS system, but it had us going in circles. The hotel representative suggested I stop at a nearby service station to get directions. She did not feel comfortable. Also, upon arrival to the hotel lobby, my husband asked to use a rest room. He was told that the motel did not have public restrooms, but […] to hold on a little while while she process us in. She took a copy of my printout confirmation which stated that I had reserved a deluxe queen size bed and gave us a room key. My husband entered the room first because he needed to use the restroom. I stopped at the vendor machine. When I did walk in the room there were two double beds, not the queen size bed listed on my confirmation. I reported this to the clerk in the lobby. I asked her whether or not she had read my confirmation. She said that she was going to look into the matter and see why I was given a room with two double size beds versus a queen size bed, but I don't think she ever did. The tables had white powder on top and smeared down one of the legs. The wall under the sink was dusty and was stained with black blotches of dirt. The bed was extremely small and gave my husband and I a back ache. The honey bun and snickers bar I purchased from the vending machine was stale. We threw the snickers and honey bun in the trash. The continental breakfast was OK. It has assorted muffins, apple juice, orange juice, and apples. The hotel did serve decaf coffee. This is OK for one night. The breakfast was skimpy. Only packaged muffins and an apple.

Older hotel. No elevator available. Both my wife and I had backaches from the uncomfortable beds. Front desk clerk unresponsive and not helpful. Requested first floor and was told the hotel was full despite only a few cars in the parking lot. Had to haul suitcases to second story room. WiFi did not work unless you sat in the hotel's lobby.

coffee maker did not work. Bottom sheet was not big enough. By the middle of the night I was sleeping on the bare mattress. Pillows were very thin.

The room was comfortable. We had to request an iron, hair dryer, ironing board, which was a minor inconvenience. A safe in the room would make a big difference-carrying around my jewelry,etc. was annoying. We were very impressed with a call we received from the hotel desk while we were on the turnpike going home. This hotel is noting fancy, but for a good price you get a decent room. It could use updating, but I felt like it was clean and they offered a basic continental breakfast.

The staff seemed lackadaisical. I reported that there was no TV remote in my room. The clerk told me to double check (which I had), and I still found no remote. When I reported this to the clerk, she said someone might be by in half an hour. As it was 11:30 PM, and I just wanted to relax for 45 minutes before bed, this did not go down well with me. […] The clerk in the morning at checkout seemed pretty blase about the whole thing. Question: What kind of hotel leaves dirty trash in the bathroom wastebasket for the next guest that checks into the room, runs out of clean towels, and instead of apologizing for inconveniences, tells the customer it is her own fault for inadvertently leaving the "Do Not Disturb" hangtag on the doorknob. Answer: Inns of Virginia at Rosslyn!

I stayed at the Inns of Virginia - Arlington last week, and was very satisfied with the service. The rooms are cozy and the beds are comfortable. The rates were completely reasonable for the services provided. The only complaint I have is that the wireless internet service was a bit spotty at times - nothing unmanageable, though. The service at the […] front desk was very friendly and helpful. I was visiting sans car, and the hotel's location was greatly helpful. The bus stop is about two minutes' walking, and there is a grocery store and a strip mall nearby (both easily in walking distance). Overall, this hotel was very clean and I had a very pleasant stay. My stay at this hotel has to be one of the worst that i have had. The smell of the hallway almost sent us packing, mildew and wet dog combo. The continental breakfast was crap, first day no breakfast, second day packaged muffins and danish. No decaf, No hot water. As far as the cleanliness of the room and location to public transportation/metro system, quite good. If you're looking for a decent continental breakfast, this isn't it. It consisted of OJ, apples and plastic wrapped muffins. There is no iron or blow dryer in the room, though I was told there was when I called to confirm.

The hotel seemed to be run down without a serious effort to restore it.

a very basic, basic place to stay. virtually no amenities. staff polite but not particularly friendly. best is the location coupled with a fairly reasonable price.

Simple and affordable place to stay. 3 important things: 1. Bring your own hair shampoo (not provided by the hotel). 2. Lee Plaza has a Pizza Hut and a Chinese Food place. 3. Internet access not reliable at all.

It is in Arlington, a 15-minute by taxi to the downtown of DC. The neighborhood is extremely nice and safe. All the staffs are Arabs and they serve you very well. The place is very user-friendly and clean. At this price, it's the best around DC.

Hard to put into words that the place was not clean,smelled, small rooms, very odd people running the desk. Did not have my room for me when I got there and had to go to another hotel very bad experience. Would not recomend to anyone for any reason!!!

We enjoyed our stay & will return next year. Close to DC but far enough away! Nice quiet place & friendly staff. My only thing was our keys to our keep deactiving but had no problem having them redone.

I stayed for one night and was satisfied concerning location off I-66, cheapest price and ammenities. Wall outlet didn't work and had no hair shampoo.

Desk staff were not pleasant or attentative. Example: we came in early and asked for a restroom to change our clothes - thats all, we understood the room wasnt available yet, but were told there were not public bathrooms. We were staying there for 3 nights and had already paid! Poor service.
