Room was dirty upon arrival. Even after asking staff to send someone up to clean while we were at dinner, response was willing but not apologetic, and we still returned to find a sub-par job. Housekeeping did decent job the next day, but overall experience has turned me off of this Hampton Inn.

Very nice and clean room! Breakfast buffet was very good! Excellent for the price! Would definantly stay again!

Found the staff to be VERY friendly. Room was comfortable, but a little small. Bed was very comfortable. Pool was decent size, however, needs some type of material around the pool to cut down on slipping while concrete is wet. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

I was in Springfield on business but my husband and three children ages 13,11 came alone. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Saturday - Monday. I was apprehensive at first but was surprised at how clean the room was (I am picky). The hotel offered a FREE full breakfast each morning including waffles, eggs, muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt each morning. The […] kids loved it! We were also close enough to the Lincoln memorial, house, the capitol etc. There was a swimming pool for the kids and cable TV. WoW! Never stayed at a Hotel that calls and thanks you for staying with them or asks if there is anything else they could do for you. Even though we stayed just one night, they made us feel like they appreciated our business...Will DEFINITELY stay here again and will tell others about our stay!

Once again, I stayed at the Hampton Inn Springfield, and once again a phenomenal experience. I stay one weekend a month to visit my son and to have a place like this, at this price, with what they provide IS A STEAL! I looked through some previous reviews, to see what people say, and noticed a few saying that the hot tub was running. Well its running […] now! So don't let that deter you!. Very conviently located hotel. Easy in and out to major interstates, short drive to sightseeing places, especially the Lincoln Museum. Loved the pool area and spa. The breakfast was really-really good. Would definitely stay again. u

Pros: Very friendly, professional staff. Quality of facilities was excellent. Very nice breakfast. Easy access to interstate. Cons: Access to desk in double queen room was a bit awkward. Could have used more counter space in bathroom.

the staff was very friendly. the Breakfast was very good. the price was high but over all was good.

The communication with the front desk and maid service was horrible. Maids checked with us three times about cleaning the day we were checking out, even though we had asked for a late checkout.

Although we stayed but one night, we were very pleased overall. The room was clean & comfortable and breakfast had enough variety to please us all.

I am the first to admit that I am of hotel snob, but I was very surprised with this one. The front desk was very quick with checking us in and lobby area was neat and clean. The room is always the scariest part, but like I said this one was clean, neat, odor free and appeared to be very well kept. I would definitely stay here again!

We have no complaints and are particular about where we stay. When in Springfield again, will definitely stay here!

The Hampton Inn in Springfield, Illinois - Cleanliness of room was shotty at most. I set things in a certain place to ensure personal items not tampered with. My luggage had been gone through for 5 days that we were there. Housekeeping did not cleanroom, simply pulled covers up on bed and reorganized pillows. close to all major sights and restaurants. The free breakfast was wonderful! The staff took great care in making sure the morning breakfast was always well stocked from 6:00AM until 10:00AM every day!

Hotel staff was helpful and responsive. Room was clean and morning breakfast was pretty good! Would have been nicer to be closer to all the sites, but overall we were satisfied for the price!

Beds were a little uncomfortable, but the hotel was nice and clean, as was the pool area.

Great hotel-- however, I didn't pay attention to the fact there was no refridgerators in the rooms. Otherwise, breakfast was great- pool hours were great. Rooms were very nice, clean, comfortable, spacious. Plenty of room in the room..

We enjoyed the a Hampton Inn, it was friendly, courteous, helpful, food was good (breakfast). Comfy room, nice swimming pool, and nice jacuzzi, but it could of been a little bit hotter (the jacuzzi). Overall it was a good stay 3 days. I would definitely stay there again, thank you Hampton Inn! Mario A.

We visit Springfield annually for our family reunion. I make reservations based on location, price, & reviews. When we arrived I realized that this was the same hotel we used last year. The rooms are very quiet even though the hotel is full of high energy kids in for softball tournaments (all of the hotels are usually full this time of year). Had two […] minor problems this year: One of the two elevators broke during our stay but this did not turn out to be a big deal. Second problem was that I thought I had reserved a room with two beds but our room only had 1 - I may have made a mistake during the reservation process though. Room was clean, nice smelling, and good temperature when we entered. Water was hot and shower felt good after out 6.5 hour drive. Devamı

The two negitives were: my daughter got stuck in the non-functioning elevator, when brought to the attention of the front desk she was told that that is "normal", thirty minutes later there was an "out of order sign" on the elevator! Secondly, there was a group of kids in the room next to us (we beleive five kids and one adult); at 1:30 AM we finally […] had enough of the loud noise and called the front desk and they did contact the room next to us. It had been sometime since we stayed at a Hampton Inn,and we were very pleased we were able to obtain reservations on the days we were in Springfield. Place was spotless. Had a nice stay. Enjoyed pool. Good breakfast

This hotel had it all for my family. We were very close (easy access) to all of the local sites in town, only about a five minute drive to the majority of them. The facilities were great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel pool was a great hit with our kids, who loved the tropical decorations they used. Breakfast was an added bonus, they […] had the typical waffles and breakfast pastries, but they also had eggs and other menu items that were new each morning we were there. Despite being in Springfield over spring break, the hotel was very quiet. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of kids there, but you never heard them running around the hotel or heard them through the walls. The staff was great. From the moment we checked in, they were there to help us. They offered advise on local restaurants and attractions. This was our family’s spring break trip, WE WILL BE BACK! Devamı

Hotel was nice and clean, breakfast was good. BUT hot tub has been down since before August 2009, and they do not know when it will be reapaired. Very disappointed, needed it for back and hip pain.

We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness and comfort level of our room. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated with modern amenities. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was just the right amount of hot and cold foods and of course it was FREE. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was very nice. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever been in for a hotel. The breakfast was great and the menu changed each day. If I ever have to go back to Springfield, I will deffinitely stay here again.

We arrived and upon entering the room found the bathroom was not clean. We went back to reception and we were given a second room. Our second room did not have a functioning air conditioner. We went back to reception a third time and were given another room. Finally, this room was clean and did have a functioning air conditioner.

The only thing that was a bit unsatisfactory was the temperature of the pool. It could have been warmer.

The room was clean and the breakfast was wonderful. It was a pleasurable experience to see the historic Lincoln home and the Lincoln Museum. The Hampton Inn would be highly recommended!

I have had wonderful experiences with Hampton Inns. This one was a little less wonderful, but it was by no means a total loss. I was expecting something a little more suburban, and ended up in a shopping mall. My view was of the strip mall parking lot.
