Ventura Beach Marriott - Ventura

We stayed at Marriott Ventura Beach for (4) nights April 25 thru 29th. We were in the area to attend a family funeral. Overall the hotel was nice. I just find it very disappointing to have had to pay for parking for the 4 days we were there at $ a night. We will not being staying here next time due to the charge for parking factor. Other hotels in the […] area don't charge for parking. Please, let me know if this should ever change. The hotel was attractive, the room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We were somewahat disappointed with the service since the hotel forgot our wake up call so we barely made our scheduled boat trip. The hotel store also had very limited merchandise, but fortunately 7-11 was just down the street.

This was our first stay at the Marriott Beach Resort. The hotel was clean as was our room. The staff were helpful and courteous. We will definitely visit again.

My recent Ventura Marriott visit was for rest and more rest. I love this Marriott as it is convenient to everything Ventura. I took my bicycle to enjoy the beach but they also rent bike there for their customers. I highly recommend.

Very noisy room. recommend putting adult customers somewhere where no kids are staying.

The hotel is very clean, great pool and hot tub for the kids. It is only a four minute walk to the beach and close to several places to eat.

this hotel is very nice, but the thing that got me was after paying the price we did, the hotel charges $13 a night to park on site? parking at your facility should be a courtesy and not an additional fee!!!!!

Clean hotel but I didn't expect to pay for parking. Popcorn ceiling needs to go.

Room was dirty when I arrived and had a musty smell. Did not have hot water the second day, hot water heater broken. Charged for parking your own car and did not inform of a fee for parking. Went to buy a paper and could not find anyone around to give my money to. Way over priced, would never stay her again.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed as a family at this hotel. It is way easy! Close to beach and shops. We rent bikes on site each time and bike everywhere. Gym is great, jaccuzi great, breakfast buffet great too. Great for the price. No complaints.

Our front desk experience was less than satisfactory with a slightly surly check in as well as very indifferent responses to requests for information. We were placed the farthest away possible room right next to the only room under renovation in the hotel. After we left the room at 10am we returned at 4pm to discover it was unmade! Upon inquiry we were […] told they didn't really have to make up the room until 5pm! During our 2 day stay, our room did not get cleaned because they did not have enough staff to clean after noon on a Holiday.

Our room was next to the elevator and we heard people coming and going until 2 am was very unhappy with our stay.. Very noisey..

Nice location close to the beach, courteous staff. parking arm and card reader to parking lot needed work. This was frustrating for myself and others. May go down the street next time to Holiday Express. Never got a invoice from Hotels.Com

Very nice hotel. Nice lobby, nice informal restaurant and the hotel is quiet in spite of its location right next to the freeway. The room we got (two queen beds) was spacious and modern. Would stay here again if I needed accommodation in the area.

We were there to attend a wedding. We had nine in our party. Everything was exceptional.

Disappointing--keys didn't work consistently to get us into parking, into the hotel, or into our rooms (had to have them re-coded several times), the ethernet cable in our room was broken (we paid extra to have internet access for both days), the hairdryer broke the first day, the coffee maker broke the second day, and the bathtub fixture could have […] easily been pulled out of the wall. You could get lost in this place (in fact I did the first time I tried to find my way to the lobby from my room). As big as the place is, the staff makes it feel almost like a boutique hotel. I asked to change rooms an hour after checking in and there was NO problem (despite it being a very busy labor day weekend). Everyone had a smile, from the host […] at the restaurant to the housekeeping ladies. We had a Sunday brunch that was a great value, especially for the kids. Very comfortable beds. The only drawback: noise from the freeway (more of a constant low hum) and from the room next door. The Marriott Ventura Hotel is very clean with cozy beds & a nice pool area. It is also walking distance to the beach with an In & Out Burger across the street.

I booked a room for 4 persons including free breakfast, but when we arrived I was told that the free breakfast was only for 1 person. The hotel reservation service would not help, and till today I have no answer to my complaint about this. So, if you have problems with the reservation you make, then be prepared that you are on your own. Finally I compromised […] with the reception that we got 3 free breakfast and then had to pay 1 for ourselves. But, nevertheless it gives you a bad start. I found the hotel to be fine. It was within walking distanct to the beach. One thing I really missed was a fridge and no coffe/tea in the lobby. Other wise it was nice and comfortable.

Room was clean Had a room over the courtyard...very quiet. Staff was friendly Hotel provided free bus transportation to and from the county fair Got a free fireworks show at night around 10pm from the fair. Would stay again

I booked on Hotels.com and asked for a king bed but ended up with 2 full beds. Paid additional for the business package only to find out there is no wireless WiFi in the room and the free breakfast is only for 1 person. Location is walking distance to the beach.

ive stayed at this hotel several times...the staff is friendly, the accommodations are nice...paying $10 to park per night is annoying, but besides that, this is my hotel of choice when i come to Ventura. I also like their food here...ive ordered room service, and poolside service, and have been very happy with the food selection.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Our room was very clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. The hotel personnel were all friendly and helpful. We had a good breakfast in the hotel cafe. Will definitely stay here again.

Great room, beautiful courtyard patio, very relaxing, we will be back!

We booked another 2 days after staying there 2 days earlier. Hotel's is located next to a park, walking distance to the beach, and a short distance to the pier and downtown. Nice, clean and in a good neighborhood. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a great time in Ventura. The hotel was very nice, great beds. The location was a little too far from downtown Ventura.

Very nice hotel check various dates prices change daily, sometimes weekends are lower sometimes weekdays.
