Stayed three nights, using it as a base for seeing sights of Washington. Quite expensive but not as bad as comparative central hotels. Provided hourly shuttle bus to/from metro station about a mile away although last one was at 8pm. Excellent standard room, excellent hot breakfast. Very helpful and friendly reception staff.

Not bad for my two week stay. nothing fancy but it was clean and comfortable. Within .5 miles of downtown Arlington and probably a 15min drive into DC.

A safe suburban area within walking distance of many restaurants and the orange line metro if you're a more experienced walker.

Cocroaches in the bathroom

Great hotel located closed to metro system, great little pub and convienance store. Ballston is a very clean and safe place to stay. Walked everywhere and felt safe,even late at night. The hotel is clean, continental breakfast got us on our way fast. Wonderful Staff! Also had the best metro system/ DC maps. Just check around the corner of the check […] in desk. The only thing we noticed is we could smell smoke in the room. It was a non smoking room. Otherwise very satisfied. Room was very clean. Enjoyed our stay and loved the location.

Hotel location is great. Inside is outdated and pretty old. Lodging is expensive in this area of DC so if you don't spend much time in the room, it's fine.

The walk to the metro isn't bad...5 or 6 minutes. The free breakfast and wifi was a great plus! The only downside was the lack of HOT water.

Conveniently located. Friendly desk staff...even after the woman in front of us was rude!

Convenient location for a business trip. Room was just fine as a place to sleep while on the road. Staff were very helpful in fixing a botched reservation (which was entirely my fault). Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This Comfort Inn is exactly what you would expect. Friendly staff, clean room, free parking, excellent breakfast, close to the Metro, reasonable price, etc. Perfect for our family while in D.C. for a few days of sight-seeing.

I am in town for business on a regular basis, and this is where I always stay. It is a ten minute walk to the NSF and metro, and is really very good for the price. On the rare occasion that I cannot stay there, I usually end up paying a lot more, or staying somewhere pretty bad. Book early - it fills up. While being a 2 star hotel, it is surprisingly nice and the price at the time I stayed was reasonable. The only downfall was the customer service at the breakfast. Half the food was put away at 8:30 (supposedly finished at 9am) and a friend had a waffle in the waffle iron finishing at 8:50. The hotel for the money was very clean, not lavish, but practical. Everything worked in the room, the staff was very accomodating and friendly. Great place to stay if on business!

Nice clean rooms in a convenient location. The breakfast buffet had a varied selection of both hot and cold foods-a nice surprise! Will stay here again and recommend to others.

Within a few blocks of the Ballston Metro stop, the Comfort Inn is an affordable hotel option in the DC area. It's not particularly fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, and has a reasonably decent breakfast (more than just the typical continental fare).

Comfortable - lives up to its name. Presently no amenities such as gift shop - area closed off. Used to have a great Indian Restaurant and bar but this has also moved out - plenty of other restaurants available within 10 minute walk - local area is residential and appears safe for walking

Not only does the gym equipment suck, but all of it is broken and seems to have been for several months. They don't appear to be interested in fixing it either.

Like all hotels near the National Science Foundation, this hotel prices its rooms for the business traveler (on an expense account). It is cheaper than the other options because it is slightly farther and close to the highway entrance. It is functional, and has a decent complimentary breakfast (not fancy, bur plenty of food).

Likes: 1. Decent price for 5 nights. 2. Close walking distance to the Metro(~0.5 miles). 3. Close to restaurants, shopping, and bars. 4. Easy to get to interstates (I-66 into DC). 5. Parking is free, and easy to get to. Dislikes: 1. Location of rooms are slightly noisy. We had a room that faced the street, heard a lot of traffic noise(honking of horns, […] etc). 2. Lighting, room was kinda dark. 3. Last day the tub/shower wouldn't drain. Devamı

- Old TV which mysteriously changed channels all night. - Shotty Wi-Fi - Dirty Carpet - Dirty panel ceiling - Door had a serious gap, letting in hallway light all night I wouldn't stay here again

Hotel was mildly difficult to find. Maybe because we got to DC during the evening rush hour. But we were pleased with the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean as was our room. The room was spacious, but the double beds were kind of snug, could have used a queen. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Six or so blocks to metro station […] and several restaurants. Clean, Comfortable & Courteous - All I needed Amenities include: Wi-Fi access, Coffee Maker, Fridge, Microwave, Iron & Board, in-room Safe, small Fitness Center, Free Parking and Free Breakfast (make your own Waffles &/or Eggs inc.). Lounge & Indian Restaurant next door.

For someone wanting to stay in the Ballston area, this hotel is well located and well priced (relative to the generally astronomical prices in the area). But you get what you pay for. It's a very generic hotel, actually a bit run-down and old-looking compared to what I usually expect from a Comfort Inn. Furnishings were fairly spartan. My particular […] experience was disappointing because the room had a nasty odor and although the room had been made up, the toilet had not been flushed. Probably just an oversight, I admit. The room was spacious with 2 well appointed queen beds. We added a rollaway which was also good-sized and in good condition. The only downside, was that we didn't learn until check-in that there was an addtional charge for the roll-away. The bathroom was a little small but still okay with a very nice adjustable shower head. The breakfast buffet had […] a nice selection of fruit and hard boiled eggs in addition to the standard fare and the breakfast room was very pleasant. It was several blocks to the nearest subway entrance but the fare into D.C. was just a couple of dollars. Hotel was extremely comfortable, convenient parking and delicious breakfast. Couldn't have been better. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free internet connection is iffy a lot of the time. They need to upgrade to flat screen TV's with better cable and expand the breakfast menu.

In all aspects excellent except not enough resturaunts in the immediate area.

Overall this Hotel is fine - nothing fancy - BUT the fitness room is very poor (if you care to do some working out while there!).

This hotel is comfortable and in a good location. The free parking, free breakfast, price, and proximity to the metro station and all pluses. If you want to get onto I66 going West, access is not good. But access to I66 going East is very good.
