Embassy Suites Hotel - Salt Lake City

Pool temperature was good; afternoon reception was great; we liked the 12 noon check-out time so we could get one more swim in. The best part was the made to order breakfast.

The hotel was undergoing some maintenance at the time of our stay, but everything was great, but some leaking in the atrium roof because of a snow storm overnight. It wasn't a big deal and we loved the hotel.

Are the reviews without comments real guests. We stayed for a romantic getaway. The Pool Table was out of order, the bartender left early and the replacement had no idea how to make drinks. We were really looking forward to the hot tub, the jets were broken. Other guests were trying to get the hotel staff to fix the hot tub, but were not successful. We […] can understand the remodeling but this is the second stay in two months and the bar and pool area have been unacceptable both times. Such a shame since that is the only reason we had wanted to stay. Will be looking for a new place to stay--they did not even offer a reduction in the rate for either of our stays and the first stay we had 3 rooms. Devamı

We like staying here. The cooked to order breakfast is really good and it is close enough to the heart of Salt Lake City that we could get there real easily. Even though there was construction at the time of our stay, the hotel was really clean.

I was very disappointed that we were awaken at 8:00 a.m. to the sound of sawing...We knew that hotel was remodeling but was told they wouldn't start until 9:30 a.m. - I had been all night with a sick child and was exhasted. I was not happy waking up to sawing...and we listened to it for over an hour. I did call the front desk, and was told sorry. On first glance, this hotel presents a great first appearance. We were fine to look past the remodeling being done - there was no carpet in the corridors. But when the shower head broke and then the toilet wouldn't stop flushing and the hotel erroneously gave us a 6 am wake up call (on a Sunday morning) and the phone in the bedroom didn't work so we […] had to make our way to the sitting area to find it at the early hour - that's when you start to think appearance isn't everything. The desk clerk had no problem taking our list of suggested repairs and wishing us a good stay and a thanks for staying - no offer of sympathy or apology. The hotel pool allowed anyone in without a room key swipe and shady looking men kept coming in, looking around the shower facilities and sauna then leaving. It was very uncomfortable and odd. I'm not the type to say this ruined our fun trip, we had a great time as a family on our other adventures - but if the hotel stay means everything to the success of your vacation, there are plenty of other options in this city. This hotel is in the process of major renovation to the common areas, including the floors, elevators, restaurant area, entryway, etc. and some work being done in the parking garage. Materials stored in the parking garage The rooms are in great shape but the noise from the renovation on the 8th and 9th floors was clearly audible in the rooms on the […] 6th floor. They pleasantly accomodated our request for a move to a lower floor. We were moved to the 4th floor which was much better noise wise. Breakfast was great. Devamı

We Always enjoy this hotel. the atrium is fun, the breakfast brings us back and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

The hotel was very nice. Even though they were doing some painting in the atrium, it was not disruptive at all. The location is very convenient to lots of attractions and to the freeways. Best of all, the hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. We travel extensively, and this has been on of the better hotels that we have stayed at. Price-value was […] excellent! Devamı

Really would have been nice to know that the whole inside of hotel is being painted. The fumes were over powering especially on higher floors. I asked desk clerk how long this last, he said about a year. Just beware if you have small children or older people with breathing issues

It had very good accomodations. I love the inner room after you go in. The free breakfast was a major plus! The free cooked breakfasts, and the dinners offered at the hotel were very good. I appreciated the 24 hours gym. Overall, I'm very happy with the hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have been satisfied. Breakfast is good , managers reception is also great.

It was as I expected for an Embassy Suites hotel. The bed was quite comfortable and the blanket for the hide-a-bed was ample (not flimsy). The free breakfast was tasty (scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon etc. + fruit options) but the line was long on Saturday. There was no line on Friday.

Great location to downtown area, convention center, and many restaurants. Updated and comfortable room...2 hour nightly managers reception and free breakfast make it worth the extra $.

Children not being supervised in the pool area, and being allowed in the jacuzzi was disappointing. Breakfast line was long, and so was the wait. Food was delicious though. Room was beautiful, and quiet. We would stay there again, but would hope that other adult guests would be more considerate of others by keeping control of their children in the pool, […] and out of the jacuzzi. Devamı

We had never stayed in downtown SLC for a ski vacation. The Embassy Suites was centrally located with easy access to several ski areas, as well as lots of restaurants and shopping downtown. The breakfast, happy hour, and hotel restaurant were all wonderful! The bed/pillows left us with stiff necks and sore backs in the morning, but that might have been […] from the skiing. Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant. We were first told that shuttle service would be available between the hotel and Salt Palace Convention Center in the mornings--and it was; after 8:30am. I understand shuttle service to the airport takes precedence over rides to the convention center. However, when the shuttle leaves the hotel empty and then […] DRIVES PAST the Convention center on the way to the airport; I have a problem with that lack of customer service. Wireless Internet service in the room was non-existent. It wasn't my computer because I was able to use the wireless signal from the hotel across the street. This was very frustrating. My friends and I enjoyed the complimentary happy hour. Each night we had dinner in the Atrium and the wait staff was very friendly. The front desk staff was very helpful in locating a box my last night there so I would be able to ship items I picked up in SLC home. All in all, my stay at Embassy Suites SLC was pleasant. I am uncertain whether I would stay at the Embassy Suites again for a future visit while attending Stampin' Up!'s annual Convention. As much as I enjoyed the happy hour, I'm not sure it was worth it when I could stay closer to the Salt Palace at a hotel that also offers breakfast in the mornings. Devamı

We have traveled often, and found this hotel very near perfect! Our room (suite) was up to date and spotless. Hotel was centrally located; near the free rapid transit. Lobby/court was nicely decorated with glass elevators that seemed to fasinate the children we met! Comp. breakfast was delicious w/cook to order eggs, various meats and fresh fruit, etc. […] What we had not seen described --- the manager's Happy Hour had chips,salsa, popcorn; and FREE cocktails with name liquors (Jim Beam, etc.) Yes, this was S.L.C. -- a quality hotel in a lovely city. The hotel is located 6 blocks from the convention center. Salt Lake City has a free light rail system which makes access to everything very easy. Down town could have more shopping.

Embassy suites nearly always the best. Free parking. Best breakfast of any hotel, two rooms, two TVs, great for kids and parents. Extra money well worth it when you want to be comforted. More amenities for families than Hilton, Sheraton, etc. WE loved. Staff was great. Everyone was polite. This is the second time we've stayed at Embassy Suites in Salt Lake City. My family has enjoyed it immensely. The cook-to-order breakfast is superb, the swimming pool has been uncrowded and clean-with pool towels to use. The staff came in while we were eating breakfast on our first day's stay, and had straightened everything up; it was a wonderful surprise […] to come back to a tidy room after having been gone just a half hour or so. I love that the sofas pulls out into a bed, and that the living room area is separate from the bedroom area in the type of room we stayed in. We will never stay anywhere else! Devamı

We were happy with our stay here. We have 3 children and booked a 2 double bed suite and there was plenty of room for everyone. The free breakfast was fantastic and the kids had fun swimming. The staff was very helpful with our family and our needs, always there to assist.

We loved it! Spacious hotel. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast and an excellent location in downtown Salt Lake.

Most things were fine. There was a convention of some sort that was noisy late into the night. I didn't like so many mirrors in the room. There were mirrors everywhere. The toilet paper was hard. The pillows were down, I guess, but one was not enough for my head and two were too much. I prefer the polyester fill kind.

Best beds I have slept in. Great two room suite with two TVs. Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful daily manager reception with free mixed drinks, beers, soft drinks, and coffe etc (yes, you can get a Martini...) pop corn and chips and salsa. Breakfast was great cooked to order hashbrowns, omlette "The Works" or you pick your ingredients, french toast […] or just plain scrambled eggs etc. Coffee bar, juices and fruits. Beautiful interior 9 story atrium, brand new excercise room with all you need to work out, smaller clean indoor pool with lots of towels, and free two computer/printer biz center. Devamı

For the price of the room that I paid for, I was quite unimpressed. Although very nice and clean, the entire hotel was very out dated. The pool was very small and located poorly. You had to walk through the nice lobby, next to the conerence rooms and dining area to get to the pool area. I felt I was being paraded having to walk by everyone.

For as pricey as this hotel was, it wasn't worth it. We had a suite and there were two full beds - not queens. It was really dark inside and right on a busy road. You couldn't hear the road traffic. Other reviewers complained about the pillows but ours were great. The breakfast wasn't everything others talked up but it was good with a wide variety of […] choices and cooked to order.
