"Renovations"
The hotel is nice but they are renovating it now and was woken up to the sounds of sledge hammers in the morning. Wait for the renovations to be done in my opinion.
"I loved South Park"
The hotel was very nice and I only have one complaint. I couldn't get the water hot enough for a shower. I know it is a safety feature to prevent scalding, but it was to cool to be a risk. Other than that, I loved my stay and return if the opportunity presented itself again.

i stay at hiltons because of the service and cleanlieness, but this location had neither. front desk at checking in was great. we called for a wake up and after the third time i went to the front desk . the hotel is under renovations and wish we had knowned. i was very disappointed with this location

"Don't stay here"
Thre were dead bugs in our room. The furniture and carpets in the hotel lobby and rooms were stained, and gave me an overall feeling that the place was not clean. No complimentary breakfast. We have had better experiences at less expensive hotels!
I enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree Suites Hotel in CHARLOTTE,N.C.All of the staff was extremely nice.ESPECIALLY the representive who register my room was great.

"Best shopping location in Charlotte"
This hotel is undergoing renovation and some parts are blocked off or otherwise messy, but the rooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, staff is polite and nice. They are dog friendly but will charge a fairly high fee for your dog (wish they had mentioned it). But it's all about the location: SouthPark Mall is right out the back door and most Charlotte […] shopping is in the vicinity. Not a bad drive to the airport and easy to get downtown. Devamı
"Charlotte Doubletree"
I got a suite for two nights. They are doing renovations right now and my room was clean but needed an upgrade. The suites are very spacious though. The television in the living room wasn't working for some reason. I think once the renovations are done it will be very nice. For some reason the lobby always smelled strongly of smoke.
Excellent hotel, stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom suite. Very nice lobby and rooms. Undergoing a major restoration, so will likely be even nicer in the future. Walking distance to South Park Mall and restaurants.
"Doubletree in Charlotte"
This was my second stay at the Doubletree. I chose to stay this time because my first time was so nice. I was a little disappointed this trip because the hotel is under construction and my room was not as clean as it was last time. The faucet in the bathroom (sink) dripped loudly all night long and the stopper in the shower was stuck in UP position […] so the water was standing in the shower, had to hold the plug down with my toe while balancing on one leg so that the water would go down. At 9am, housekeeping just busted in the room, no knock or anything...rude. Overall the stay was decent but I will probably look for different accomodations next time. Devamı

The hotel was nice as it is. However, they were remodeling and the hammering, drilling, and sawing started at 8 AM Sharp.

"Nice place, but needs better room clearning"
The stay was nice, the only issue we had was that the room had lots of cat hair, probably from an earlier visit. Sitting on the couch was horrible, especially with dark clothes. If you are allergic to cats, you should ask for a different room.
"Double Tree Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay. Large room, King size bed, very comfortable, kitchen, living room, next door to Southpark Mall, great neighborhoods surrounding the area. I would highly recommend.
"Excellent location if you Love to Shop"
The hotel is right beside the mall. If you love to shop, this is the hotel for you in Charlotte. It was a very quiet location and we walked across the parking lot to the huge mall.
"Highly Unorganized, Very Disappointing"
Came with friends and family for ACC Championship game. Check-in was delayed over 2 hours, with no notice after a 5 hour car drive, because rooms hadn't been cleaned. Folks were so crowded in the lobby and the tension was paramount. The male at the counter was so incredibly rude to folks and my party was no exception. He told the lady in front of me […] that obviously he didn't make as much money as her and that she could step aside. He also put his hand in her face and told her to "stop talking to him!" Never in my life have I heard an employee talk to a customer in such a manner. When it was my turn, our rooms weren't ready and I told him there was no point in moving to the next person in line because no rooms were ready. He told me to step aside or he'd call the police??!!! There were two females who tried to calm him down, but he was AWFUL. After boasting that he'd been there 7 years, it really makes me question the hotel altogether. He was awful and came close to ruining our trip from his deplorable behavior. Too many decent folks are out of work right now to put up with this kind of behavior. Surely the hotel manager could do something. Waiting over 2 hours for a room is absolutely unbelievable. If the check-in time had changed, they should have gotten to work early and made personal calls to every single reservation for the evening. NEVER AGAIN. I will tell everyone I know how horribly unorganized and unprofessional this hotel is!! Beware! Devamı

"The Doubletree in Charlotte-forgotten luggage"
I left a bag in our room after check-out and discovered it after I got home to Tennessee. I called and it was in lost and found and my son, whom I was visiting, was able to pick it up for me. Thanks to the hotel staff for being honest and turning it in. Thanks, again.
"Be prepared to walk"
The hotel layout has city-block length hallways: my room was half a block to the elevators, another block down a hall, right turn, then half a block to the room. That was from the check-in reception. Another exit near the parking structure was only two half-blocks from the elevator. the suite itself was very good; the hotel bar was poor (even by Charlotte […] standards). "Fantastic stay!"
Love this hotel! Will be our "go to" hotel whenever we're in the Charlotte area. Decent rate for what you are getting - large suites, clean, great friendly service...can't say enough. Oh, and they are upgrading all of the decor in the suites. I saw the plans in the lobby and it will be outstanding. Nice to know that there are upscale hotels at an affordable […] price! "Extremely Satisfied Stay"
We were in town for our 1 yr old G-Daughter's Birthday for the weekend... The Suite was very good size, features, comfort, very clean, 2 Queen Beds & Pull-out sofa work great for us and 2 other G-Kids with us... Highly recommend the DoubleTree... The only disappointment was that the Complementary Wi-Fi was $9.95/day even though I had a HHonors Membership... […] So I used my Smartphone hook-up instead... Our first time staying in a Double Tree it was a very mixed review.....we were not very pleased on our 2nd night there,we get in and the only other door that we can go into is the front so we walk all the way to the front,there was another group of ppl that got there about the same time as us and had the same ISSUES! Come to find out that there main […] elevators r under maintenance, so where does that leave the ppl that have to go up a few floors it was very aggravating cuz we had NO help in trying to find another elevator meanwhile it was late and we had our kids with us.....it took atleast a good forty minutes to FINALLY make it up to our room.....not sure how many ppl they have working around 10-11pm BUT that's just ridiculous that NOT one person could help!!!! "High expectations led to let down"
I was disappointed when I arrived at my hotel room and discovered a hot room (temp of 82 degrees) and it smelled like food. Even after a tech visited, the room never really cooled down, and I left the hotel with a bit of a "hot" temper...
"Nice neighborhood"
Good hotel. Only sticking point was a super slow drain in the shower. Hotel right across the street from a major shopping mall and close to lots of restaurants.
everything was excellent except for the view from the balcony of my room (was the parking lot) and the bathroom had a lot of hair in the tub and they forgot to take the trash from the bathroom.

Very large rooms. Comfortable beds, big fluffy towels, plenty of mirrors for bridal parties to get ready. Full size kitchen but limited utensils. Very nice courtyard pool. Most rooms have balconies. Reguest. Interior room. Cons long hallways, you will need luggage carts

We loved the hotel. The room was excellent. The kitchen was fantastic. Everything was very neet and clean. We really liked the pool. We would definitely stay there again.

"nice space, some things need fixing"
You get a nice size 1-bedroom apt., only the a/c must be the world's cheapest as it makes noise all night (when we called the handyman they said they're all the same). They didn't have a night light in the bathroom and they only gave you one set of glasses ... how about the bathroom or for drinks in the living room. Neighborhood is great.
"Great location but not clean"
I gave this hotel a fair shot- I have stayed there on at least 4 separate occasions because I love the location. I travel to Charlotte about once a month and try to stay close to Southpark mall. I am not a picky person so I was willing to overlook a few things like tubs in all the rooms I have stayed in not draining well or the smokey smell in the lobby, […] but this last stay was the final straw. When I went to wash my face, the towels in the bathroom were wet and a soaking wet washcloth was hanging up. It was clear the the towels were never changed out. When I moved some pillows to get into bed, a spider was there to greet me. I called the front desk 3 times and no one ever answered or called me back. This was at 9 pm. When I called to checkout the next day, I still got no answer. Needless to say, I won't be staying there again. Wish it would have turned out differently. Devamı

Spent one night at the Double Tree on the way to Hilton Head. Large suite with separate bedroom with two very comfortably Queen Beds. Plenty of room. Sofabed & kitchen if you need it. Very reasonable price. Only Hotel that had two Queen beds that I needed. Nice area near mall, large pool and bar (did not have time to use either). Definitely would stay […] there again. Devamı

My group consisted of 10 famiy menbers and 3 suited and everyone was satisfied with their staff and rooms. We, had an excellent experience at this hotel, the staff was courtious and friendly and took care of our every need.

"Location, Location"
We stayed here primarily because of location on our way back home. It is a very short walk to Southpark Mall and my girls needed a shopping fix. The hotel was under renovation and the parking was challenging due to spaces being roped off close to the building. Also, if you have mobility issues, this hotel isn't for you. It's laid out in a U shape with […] the lobby and elevators at one end. If you get a room on the other end, it's a LONG walk. Very weird design but probably popular in the 80's when this place was built. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and the location good. I prefer other hotels in the area but availability was limited on the night we needed to stay. You won't hate this place but you won't love it either. Devamı

"Doubletree Inn South Park in Charlotte-very good"
The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a desirable location for shopping and restaurants, well south of downtown Charlotte. South Park is very nice.
"DoubleTree Southpark, Charlotte, NC - don't bother"
Not in any particular order, here are our complaints: 1. The guest laundry room was a sauna. No A/C, no venting of any sort. My eyeglasses fogged, the windows to that room fogged, and I think I lost one pound sweating profusely during the dryer cycles. The front desk disclaimed any knowledge of this issue. 2. The walls were paper thin and guests on […] both sides kept us awake for 6 nights. 3. We had to request enough towels for 2 persons. 4. The dishwasher was run everyday by housekeeping but it was virtually empty. Why waste the water? Also, it backed up into the sink and made a general mess. 5. The room A/C was not programmable. We could not change it from a pre-set 70 degrees to 76. So, it was either on or off, which was within our control. We neglected to contact Maintenance for advice. 6. There was only one clock. Bring an extra of your own if time of day is a concern to you. 7. The TV listing card had a "misprint" according to management. 'Court TV' a/k/a 'Tru TV' (the Casey Anthony trial) was non-existent although listed on the card. (The engineer dispatched to fix the problem was not able to do so.) 8. The bathroom lights were so dim that we offered to go to Harris Teeter to get brighter ones. Maintenance cheerfully replaced them with brighter CFCs. In general, we agree with the environmentally friendly CFCs, but when the total output of 4 lights is less than 60 watts, that is dim. 9. The "Free WIFI" only worked in the lobby. We were close enough to the lobby for intermittent connections. Emphasize intermittent. 10. The buttons on the phone did not work properly. Sometimes it took 3 or 4 attempts to punch in a phone number. 11. In the so-called "fully equipped" dimly-lit kitchen, there were no plates, and the only flatware was plastic, encased in more plastic. Why use plastic flatware in combination with CFCs? Makes no sense at all. Our praises are: Maintenance, a lovely swimming pool, a suite with spacious space, and, in general, housekeeping (we left a $5 ti Devamı

This hotel is ideally located for both excellent shopping (SouthPark Mall is literally next door) and access to Charlotte uptown and surroundings. The hotel was undergoing renovation during our stay but they handled that with minimum disruption to guests. Standard of rooms is generally good. Staff were all excellent and very friendly.
