Best Western Plus High Point - High Point

Very nice hotel and close to everything.

Well, both times I was a guest, there were not enough front desk people to check in /out guests in a reasonable amount of time-nor did the ones working acknowledge everyone in line to let us know t"hey would be with us soon". On Wed. morning I went for my free breakfast buffet, only wanting a coffee b/c I was getting ready to go for a run-the gal working […] walked up to me and said "excuse me do you have a breakfast voucher" I told her I left it in room, she said nothing, I left to retrieve it, there was no voucher, again I hadf to go to the front desk and "wait" for the gal on the phone to give me one, I went back to cafe, the woman took the voucher, I told her I was just getting coffee, going to run, then be back for breakfast, I asked if I needed it back, she said "I know your face", that was it. As I was sitting w/my coffee, I noticed others arriving w/no voucher, all she did was ask what their room # was and looked at a list. Devamı

Pillows and bed not too comfy, and no basket in the coffee maker.

Sleep number bed was not good. It is a cheap version, medium inflation and you roll towards the middle and fuller inflation to make it level and it is hard as a rock. They didn't clean our room 2 of the 4 nights we stayed there. However, it was real close to the market!

TERRIBLE Service. will Never stay at another ! Mary at front desk has no clue what she is doing and Melissa the manager is probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever met.

Hotel stay was fine.Suggestions would be to have ice making machine on 3 rd floor.Needed to go to 4th floor for ice.Did not realize i had to pay for parking.Per day rate.

Usually do not like Best Westerns, but this hotel was quite nice. Did have to pay for parking, but very reasonable and inside a garage. Would definitely would stay here again.

Overall it was ok. When first went to our room, our room wasn't made up and it was a real turn off. They did give us another room. Our room had the sleep number beds and we had no directions on how to use them and it wouldn't work right, so we woke up with stiff backs. Only stay one night and we were up and out the door early the next day.

wish there were some restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The seafood restaurant that Kim , the bartender, reccommended was awesome, tho. Well worth the short drive. Kim's pretty cool too. All the staff ,from the front desk to the great people cleaning the rooms were very friendly.

Dear Housekeeping: CLEAN BEHIND the nightstands and under the beds. It is a mess. I stay here often, and everytime I am there, I check these areas, and they need GREAT improvement. Ditto on the bathroom floor and tub. Almost clean. And breakfast is finally actually a breakfast. Kudos to you. And the waitstaff, who are outstanding. Check in at night […] is still slow. Tawanda needs to take it up two notches. And the ALARM CLOCKS are horrible and need to be removed. These are a joke, and go off at no warning. For being the furniture capital of the US, everything could and should look significantly better. Some of the finest designers come through this space, and it is below average. EVERYTHING was great, except the bed. they had beds where u could select the the number of firmness/softness. NO ONE slept well. since sleep is a major factor in me choosing a motel, i will not be staying at the best western again. if they have traditional mattresses, i would like to have been given a choice.

We had a wonderful time. Pool was wonderful. Close to HPU and staff offered wonderful suggestions for things to do. Problem: Housekeeping rooms are supposed to be cleaned every day and ours was not even after we put up a sign asking to be cleaned. No cool air coming out of air condition vents room got stuffy.

Temperature control did not work. Room very stuffy. Faucet drpped. Only stayed one so no way for hotel to fix, but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Do not stay downtown, nothing to do there. Restaurant not open for dinner, ate off limited menu in lounge. Breakfast swamped, had no regular coffee available.

The hotel was beautiful and clean in every way but one. The indoor pools heating system was not working. The water was very cold. My husband talked to a gentleman who is in charge of keeping things up and running. He stated that the hotel did not provide him with the equipment needed to fix things approiately as things broke. Nice hotel, plus free breakfast! Near evrything!

i really enjoyed staying at this hotel.. it was very covient and breakfast was great I felt very at home!!

Nice and confortable with great breakfast, $6charged for parking, but the price of the room is reasonable.

I had a very nice stay at this Best Western. It was clean and very comfortable. The aero bed and comforter were very comfortable! I slept really well! The shower was clean and had a nice shower head with good water pressure. Overall great stay, no complaints!

Complimentary breakfast and free happy hour. Great place to stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location in town. Arrived very late at night and staff were ready and pleasant. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I usually stay at Marriott Hotels and this hotel measured up very nicely. Highly recommend and hope to go back!

The air conditioner in the room simply didn't work. First night was intolerable. Asked for maintenance and second night was a bit better but far from comfortable. Water in tub would not drain. Again, asked for maintwnance and little improvement occurred.

Very nice hotel. Being charged extra for parking was a disappointment. Indoor pool and exercise room were very nice.. Would have been nice to also have hot tub.

I had called the hotel to help me with some changes to my reservation and I had to tell the front desk staff that I would have to call later because the person on the phone was rude and just kept saying no before she even heard what I really needed. When we arrived the room was ill equipped; missing toilet paper, tissues and towels. When I called down […] to the front desk to ask for these items, they said I could come down and pick them up. Later in the evening we were attending a function in one of the event rooms and the only women's bathroom on the first floor flooded and they didn't seem to worried to take care of it quickly considering there were about 400 people attending the event. I have only stayed in this hotel on my previous visits and have always been satisfied. This time, not so much. My air conditioning was out in my room and when I called to report it, I came back to my window open and a fan on the sill. A LOUD fan. There was no way I could sleep with it on, or watch tv, so I just sweated the whole time I was in the room. […] There was a sign in the bathroom that said if you forgot anything, to ask the front desk. I needed a toothbrush and they were out. Also, every morning I've been in the restaurant for breakfast, there has NEVER been any coffee in the canisters. They either need to finally realize that people drink coffee and make more or get a bigger container. The girls end up running themselves to DEATH trying to fill coffee cups! Devamı

Close to campus, desk staff friendly...beds AWFUL. The sleep number thing barely functions and the mattresses roll to the middle. Worst night's sleep in a while. Parking layout odd too. For the money it is an ok choice.

I haven't stayed at many Best Western, but the Plus hotel in High Point was not half bad. And right near the train station. I drove, so the only complaint was having to pay for parking. But the beds were Sleep Number and overall good. Nice breakfast too!

The Best Western in HighPoint, NC was a nice place to stay. The room was quite nice, the beds were comfortable. The shower was great. The kids enjoyed the fitness room and also the swimming pool, though the water could have been a little warmer. The breakfast was enjoyable everyday. We enjoyed our stay, and intend to return.

The hotel was clean, but a little blah. Beds were comfortable, baths were clean and clean up service was good as well. We experienced a fire in the middle of the night that called for our evacuation at around 1 am and we were not let back into our rooms until after 4 am. They did serve some coffee and soft drinks, but other wise did very little, which […] I found disappointing. Im in the hospitality business and i would have come up with some sort of compensation for my guests trouble. Reduced price for that night's stay, or a coupon for 50% off at the next Best western I traveled to, something along those line that make people feel the establishment empathizes with our plight. Instead, nothing was said and it was like it never happened the next day. All in all, a decent hotel though. Personally i would light the place up more, give it more of an airy, light feeling. Juice the decor up some. But as hotels go, not bad at all and the price was good. Devamı

The staff were very professional. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had a great sleep.

The"sleep number" beds don't have controls making them very uncomfortable. All else was good.

The beds were sleep number beds and lost their firmness during the night. The decor had rugs, drapes and spreads that did not match so it wasn't appealing. The best part of the hotel is the courteous service.

Just so super friendly. I stayed there for the high point marathon and the location for that was beyond belief. Race was about 100 yards from back of hotel. The ladies at the front desk were awesome... awesome!

I stayed there because I was in involved in the NC Marathon and they were the sponsor hotel. Coffee maker was missing pieces, bathtub and shower ran together not one or the other, bed felt like an air mattress sleep number part was broken. Ice holder was missing, lamp light on desk would not work and both tv remotes would not work. Room felt messy with […] paint chipping off the wall. This was my first and only time staying at a best western. The downtown area of High Point is nice and hotel is a good location for that. Devamı

I requested 2 things when I booked my room; first a 12:30 check in and secondly a cot for my 3 year old, neither request was met. In addition when I returned 6 hours later my room had been given to another person with the same first name, I was asked to sign a check in sheet with a name that was not my own, I was given a room with ONLY 1 bed so I had […] to get another room, we had a toilet that did not work properly, and the room smelled funny. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sleep number bad was awesome. My grandson loved the indoor pool and breakfast was good. Thanks and we'll be back.

The only reason for the 4 overall rating is because this was not our preferred location for a hotel stay. The staff behind the check-in counter and breakfast buffet were exceptionally helpful and definitely made our stay there worthwhile. The little one very much enjoyed the indoor pool. Not much selection in High Point. Room was large and comfortable. A little dated. Internet did not work well. They need to get wireless for the entire hotel. Bar service was horrendous and bartenders were not good. It was reunion weekend for High Point University and there was also a high school reunion staying there. They should have been better stocked […] and prepared. Not many other choices in High point though and the location is good. Devamı
