Omni Charlotte Hotel - Charlotte

The hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from the Epicenter....restaurants, bars, and more. Only blocks away from other night life. Also, on-site restaurant and adjacent to shopping plaza....good for weekday stays with Starbucks, gym, etc.

hotel towels had yellow stains on them..NASTY!! this happened two days in a row. a lot of kids that stay and very load. kept me up and the room across the hall up all night. manager didnt care too much.

Hotel staff very friendly & nice. It only took minutes to get checked in. Once we got to our room, we found that they put us in a single king bed. Our confirmation and booking was for 2 double beds. Again, within minutes we were in a room that meet the original confirmation and booking. The only negative issue/comment is that the water pressure taking […] a shower was less than lacking. It was difficult to wash your hair and get the soap out. It was not just with our room. we were staying with a group and everyone said the water pressure was low. Very convenient and well managed/maintained. Easy walking distance to arena and stadium plus all downtown areas.

Great room, location and service. I will be back soon.

Great location easy walk to football stadium. Over all great stay ; we had some problems with parking due to the hotel running out of parking space in their garage but the issues was very quickly resolved and the staff was great.

After ariving home I discovered that I was chargede twice for my accomendations. I booked through Hotel.com and paid, then was charged the same by Omni Charlotte Hotel. It took six days to get my money back. I still don't know why they charged me $8.98 for something. There were other guess that kept us up because of thier noise. They were druck and […] loud. I will probably stay there again, but next time I will definitely be alitte more careful to check things at check out. Devamı

Stayed at the Omni for a Panthers game. Great location and great rooms. Hope to do a repeat in 2012!

It has a nice view and in nice location. Didn't know I had to pay $10 a day for parking.

Close to the Performing Arts Center and lots of good restaurants.

We had a great trip. The hotel was really nice and the staff very friendly. The only trouble was that once we went back to our room to sleep, the nearby bars, restaurants were so loud that we couldn't sleep. At two o'clock in the am, the party was still going strong. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel this year. In both cases the care/consideration of the staff appears genuine. I had room service both times and in both cases the entree was only warm, not hot. During the first stay, the Internet was last for a day due to a problem beyond the hotel's control. During the second stay, I found that neither […] the sink nor the tub drained with any speed. I do not know how this would have not been found by the cleaning staff. I reported it to the hotel staff, who offered to have the "engineers" visit my room that night when I discovered the problem; however, I was very tired and told them they could come the next day and fix the problem after I left. If you stay in room 514, check the sink and the tub drains ASAP! I will stay at the Omni Charlotte again! Devamı

The Omni staff, all of them, were amazing! Front desk staff very friendly, always said hello, good morning or good evening as you walked by. ONE experience in particular stands out though. I called down to housekeeping for a thermometer. Chris from housekeeping said that he was so sorry they do not have any and suggested we try CVS across the street. […] He asked if I was sick and if I was OK. I told him yes that it was a precaution for my operation recovery tomorrow. Chris wished me luck and told me to call if I needed anything. About five minutes later there was a knock on my door and it was Chris from housekeeping with flowers, two bottled waters and a very sweet note wish me a speedy recovery. We just stayed here on a Friday night due to the proximity of this hotel to the Knight theatre. The location was indeed great, plenty to do, maybe a 5 minute easy walk to the theatre. The service was also great overall, except it took some time to get my bags and then they tried to deliver the wrong ones initially. They returned within 5 minutes with […] the correct bags though. The front desk and check in was very quick and the desk clerk was very professional and helpful. The room, bed and bath were very comfortable, no issues. I called the operator in the morning because I needed some hygiene products and they delivered them free of charge within 10 minutes to my room. There was a 10 dollar parking fee for the garage and another 10 dollar internet fee to use the wireless in the room, but I did know this prior to booking. I would make this a 5 star review if it weren't for this though. It seems for some reason that a lot of upscale hotels nickel and dime you for stuff that less expensive hotels include in with the room price, so this complaint is not specific to the Omni, I don't think. Only problem was that the beds were not very comfortable.

Overall, I have to say I was satisfied with the Omni. I read some of the other reviews prior to booking the my stay and I have some of the same concerns. The two primary issues that I had were the size of the bathroom and the bed. In my opinion, a hotel such as the Omni should equip it's rooms with a bathroom that can accomodate 2 people comfortably. […] My wife and I found the bathroom to be extremely small. The biggest problem we had was the bed! I hope this was not the case in everyone's room....our bed was very hard and very uncomfortable to sleep on. My wife actually spent one night asleep in the chair with a blanket draped over here because she found it more comfortable than our bed. Aside from that our stay was plesant. We were in town for a RedSkins game. The staff was very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and well kept and the distance from the hotel to Bank of America stadium was excellent. The breakfast in the Trade resturant was fairly pricey at $19 for the buffet. It was very good...however that is still too expensive. Devamı

My wife and I stay this hotel for one night and it was very nice. This hotel is very clean and close by to all the night life at Epic Center. Its also nice to have a bar in the Lobby where you can enjoy a few drinks without a lot of noise before going out.

The hotel was very nice, however when I arrived to check in I was told that they had overbooked the hotel and that the room that I had reserved (1 King Bed) was going to instead be (2 double beds). Me and a friend really enjoyed staying at the hotel. The service at the hotel was outstanding and surrounding area was great for walking and eating food.

Only 10 minutes from the airport, this place is convenient for in and out work trips. And, there is a Starbucks in the building (on the way to the parking garage), along with a small convenience store and restaurants on-site and nearby. Clean and reasonably priced.

Great hotel for a weekend stay. Very convenient to great restaurants and was very easy to find for someone who was from out of state. Room was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Overall the stay was very pleasant. The staff were courteous, and the hotel was beautiful. The only complaints I had at all: there was a stage set up for a live concert directly behind the hotel which was very loud, but as the hotel staff informed me, the concert wasn't allowed to continue past their permitted time of 11:00pm. Stayed two nights for a wedding. Very accomodating. Gets a bit loud at night because of music outside. Great location. Will definitely stay here again. The welcoming lobby was a nice gathering area.

The hotel was very nice and in a great spot right downtown and room service take out food was very good. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfectly located to downtown. if your business is in one of the main buildings, you can get there without going outside. The in-room breakfast was very good too.

The only thing I did not rate a 5 was the overall service rating due to the number of available elevators. The day I reserved was a day of a huge convention and there were tons of people waiting on an elevator to take people from the lower level garage up to their rooms or to check in, which was a huge inconvenience. A couple of things that stuck out to me during my stay: 1) if you self park then you have to go up one elevator to get to the lobby only to have to get on another elevator to get up to the rooms. Not a good setup. 2) the Internet is AWFUL...do NOT pay for it. 3) there were 2 phones in the room, one of which did not work. 4) if you do stay there, make […] sure you get a room up as high as possible. We were on the 2nd floor facing the Epicenter and all we heard was the noise from buses going to the local bus station around the corner. 5) the bed on the mattress was extra firm, also known as hard. 6) my wife and I requested a King room...we were given a room with 2 doubles. I stayed for an overnight with my wife on our way to Asheville and given the hotel and service I wish we had gotten in a day earlier. Great staff as well especially on the bell desk with Kyle and the lads...very informative and friendly.

The room was comfortable and very clean. I can't stand to see any mold near a bathtub, and this hotel met my expectations! Very nice.

Our curtains were torn in large sections, the sink was stopped up, the bed coverings were lumpy and there were no special touches like a city guide or map of the downtown area. We were highly dissapointed because we had expected a well-appointed room. My wife and I just wanted to get away for the weekend, and I had already had this hotel in mind to see what it was like. I found this to be quite an upscale hotel in the middle of everything. Very affordable, pleasant staff and surroundings of skyscrappers just make it feel as if you were in a BIG city. The only compliant I have is with the pillows. […] I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about there pillows made it feel as if I was suffocating. Good Location. Nice Hotel. Rooftop pool area is enjoyable. I have used this hotel in the past and will continue to use them when I need to be in uptown Charlotte.

The only concern that I had were the elevators. There were at least 5 people waiting on an elevator the entire length of my stay. We took the stairs every time to the point where we had to walk around the building to get to the valet in an effort to save time. Also, the pictures online look a little better than the hotel actually looks.

I ended up having a dead battery in my car when I checked out and the staff was very helpful.
