This hotel is fine for one night. Pillows are terrible for someone who likes a firm pillow. This hotel should also have a continental breakfast available for those who do not have the time for a sit-down meal in the morning. There also was no room service as an alternative.

We have stayed here before and it is always clean and in a good location to where we want to be. However, the service in the hotel is never been very good and still has not changed. Check in was at 3 pm and we did not get our room until almost 6 pm along with other people that were waiting for their rooms. We were told it was because the night before […] was very heavy. I arrived at 2 for a 3 pm check-in, hoping to get in early. The people at the desk were apologetic but totally incompetent. Their excuse was the housekeeping was backed up. I did not get into my room until 8:30 pm, and we were not alone! And other guests were complaining that they had been given keys to rooms that were already occupied. the hotel is much improved since they began renovation. I think the staff still needs some work, but when I left a piece of expensive electronics in my room it had been turned and was waiting for my friend to pick up. That is a miracle today. So, goof job, guys.!

This hotel does not exist!! Pulling up we found that it was a Holiday Inn. Luckily they honored our reservation. It was recently bought out by the Holiday Inn and newly renovated, so our rooms were brand new, very clean. Girl at check in was very nice and answered all our questions. I was looking for a New London Plaza Hotel sign when I arrived but it is a Holiday Inn! Very confusing. The hotel staff was very accommodating though, they searched vending machines in non guest parts of the hotel to get me the pop flavor I was looking for. They also allowed us a late check out with no additional charge. The room was a basic room with […] the basic amenities, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and tv. The bathroom was a nice size and everything seemed to be freshly painted. I did not enjoy however that the toilet seat was a normal round size but the toilet was an oval shape. It left a large exposed piece of the toilet rim out which made using the toilet a little uncomfortable. Other than that, our visit was what we expected for the price. Devamı

Too bad the web nor the folks helping with the reservation were unable to tell me that the hotel was undergoing renovations to become a Holiday Inn. I am sure it will be a nice hotel when they are done, but this was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. No restaurant for breakfast -- had to walk 1-1/2 miles to Goody's.

I reserved a room with two queen beds because we are two adult males that were traveling together. Upon check-in I was told it was a two bed room. However, when we got to the room we found it was a single bed. After waiting 15 minutes for the front desk attendant, he told me there were no more two bed rooms. We have stayed here many times when in New London but the quality of service and cleanliness of the hotel in general has decreased dramatically. The staff were not engaging and seemed more worried about talking on the phone at the front desk about personal issues. Also we stayed there 2 months ago when construction had just begun on renovations there […] was a message on booking that projected finish was March 15 2 months later it doesn't look like any progress has been made since the last time we were there. We were not expecting a miracle but we were greatly dissappointed in our stay this time. It might be time to find a new hotel in the vicinity. Devamı

The hotel was bring renovated...i was not told this,everything was covered with plastic,the kitchen was closed,the pool was empty,my room had no heat,and then the fire alarm goes off for no reason...I'm not sure if I would stay here again

The hotel is being renovated so it was pretty inconvenient. The pool was closed. They advertised breakfast that was non existing. Heat was not working in room. They sent someone up to fix it and then in the middle of the night it started making horrible noises. Not a good experience at all. Will never go back there again

The hotel is listed as having an indoor pool and exercise room. The hotel operators are engaging in deceptive practices toward both guests and Expedia, since the hotel has neither facility available because of construction. There is significant construction dirt on the first floor. It may be a fine hotel eventually, but I object to the deception.

If you're looking to just get a room in the area for a night or two at a decent price but not at nasty motel quality, this is he place for you. It was extremely cheap but I felt like I got more for the price. It was strange because I get there and there's a sign outside that said "New London Plaza Hotel" but the doors say "Holiday Inn" and when you […] turn on the TV, it said "Welcome to the Radisson Hotel", so I guess the hotel has gone through different management. The rooms weren't the best but compared to other places that charged around the same price, these rooms were pretty good. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. The only thing I would say about the bathroom was that there were no towels. Luckily I brought my own just in case. There's a fridge and microwave in the room, which was a nice surprise because the ad said that you needed to pay extra for it (which I didn't). The bed was comfortable. The A/C and Heater in the room was easy to use. There's a TV the room with a few channels. I didn't go but I believe there is an indoor pool and a restaurant and lounge in the hotel. Also, a friend of mine said that occasionally they have comedy shows in the hotel with local comedians. Not too shabby. Overall, it's not the absolute best but it's a hotel with A LOT better quality than what you pay for. I would stay there again. Devamı

This is a Holiday Inn property which we were not made aware of in advance, and a poor one at that. Both pool & restaurant were closed, again, we were not told to us in advance. Had a great time at the hotel. Stayed for new years eve to go to mohegan sun. Had free shuttle to and from the casino. Free breakfast the next day from 10 am to 2 pm and had late checkout at 1 pm so we could sleep in. The only thing that sucked was the shower. It wasnt great.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The location is perfect as it is steps from the Cross Sound Ferry. All of the local attractions of New London/Mystic/casinos are minutes away via major highways. Sure, the hotel is undergoing renovations. The hotel lobby is still under renovation - as is the pool area - but the room we stayed in had been upgraded and was really very nice. The breakfast was good too. Given the renovations under way, it would unfair to criticize or praise the hotel in detail at this point. Let's just say that the room served its purpose when I needed one. It was close to work, comfortable, and the price was reasonable.

Major renovations have been done and still ongoing. Construction debris is everywhere. Doesn't look like a professional job, Location is convenient to ferry but the neighborhood isn't so nice.

This hotel is currently a disaster. They are doing renovations on every floor, and they start at 6am, banging around. The pool is closed. The breakfast was cereal and white bread, no jelly or anything else. The staff is unhelpful. The heater is my room didn't work and no one came to fix it as promised when I told the front desk. The man at the front […] desk also looked annoyed and huffed around when I asked for a hair dryer. The man ended up telling me they didn't have any, but thankfully a woman who worked there overheard and got one for me from the basement. Hotel was under renovation - but even with that going on, our room which had been renovated was not especially clean - especially the bathroom. The continental breakfast was sparse at best - no jelly for test, stale bagels, no fruit or yogurt. Definitely below what we are used to at other hotels offering continental breakfast.

The New London Hotel is under renovations. I was not advised of any onsite dining, I ate locally. Dry cleaning service was not offered on site, I was told that there was a local dry cleaning service. The pool was closed. The hotel shows promise once the renovations are complete.

Yes the hotel is under construction. We only were staying 2 days and visiting Coast Guard Academy therefore an unfinished pool was not a problem for us. The continental breakfast was good the first day. Not so good the second they had only 1/2 of the items from first day and waffle maker didn't work every thing was sticking. I was there on a hot and humid night , not working air condition , tried to adjust from the thermostat but battery was death, shower in the morning with cold water... Hot water was not working. No near attraction or good restaurant, they offer free breakfast but it is horrible, I check it out and drove away. The hotel was still under renovations ( I read online that the renovations would be done by Sept. 1st) and seems like they will be doing renovations for a while. Overall the hotel was ok, It would have been nice to have the pool open. The free continental breakfast was decent and the rooms were nice.

The hotel is still under construction thus making an evaluation difficult. The pool and fitness facility were closed (under construction), and the breakfast bar was not well staffed. The room was very nice, and the location of the hotel was excellent.

The hotel is under renovations and should not be open to the public until they finish. we stayed the first night only because we had no other place to go but cancelled our second night stay. When we pulled up we thought we had the wrong place, it looked condemened. If I could post pictures you would see what I mean. I would never have booked this hotel […] if I had knowned the state it was in. Very disapointed with HOTELS.COM/CA for even having this place on it's site without any warning of what to expect. BAD: poor appearance while under renovation; room was fine, looked clean, but trash on the bathroom floor was not picked up for 2 days, the mouth wash was open... rather gross. Staff friendly. Breakfast.. ran out of food one morning, no cream cheese, just a couple of bagels - overall just seems very poorly managed.

I was not warned by Hotels.com that the hotel has been under total refurbishing since the Spring. Dumpsters in the parking lot, mattresses in the lobby, the pool was totally deconstructed. Every employee should receive a bonus for the professional mano in which they greet and listen to reactions such as mine when checking in, it is unclear if the hotel […] is really open, and if one should stay there. Breakfast was excellent, but it is clear the dining room has not been upgraded yet. The room was not yet complete, but it was clean, just lacking the the final touches. I would stay there again, when it is finished, so long as the empolyees have been remunerated for their professionalism as they compensate for the surprise of unknowing customers checking into a construction zone. While I am flexible, and adapted to the condition, many people not have been so gracious. Kudos to the employees!! Devamı

This is slated to be a new Holiday Inn, the hotel itself will be nice when finished, but it's staff and the fact that it's in a very dangerous part of town, is not good at all. With that said.....It wasn't told to us on Expedia that the hotel was under complete dis-repair and that it sat in the very worst part of town. Yes crack heads and gang bangers […] were right across the street. Even the renovated rooms had layers of construction dust and dirt on the surfaces. They were actually demolishing the front of the hotel when we pulled up. We had to enter through the rear, nasty stained mattresses stood on end in the lobby. The new room TVs were nice, but no channels. 2 PBS, 2 or 3 Evangelists and 6 sports. No news whatsoever. No CNN, No FoxNews, No HLN, Not even MSNBC. No Business news. The bar was posted to open at 5, we stood there and watched the employee talk on the phone at the front desk until 5:25; before he walked over and went to work, and it was another 10 just to get a drink. The restaurant was the same way. Breakfast was horrible, the guy at the cooking station would just leave and go visit the front desk, leaving people standing. the eggs were processed, everything was old, juices were fake. This trully and without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever been in. Devamı

There were renovations throughout the entire hotel that was not stated on the website prior to us checking in. The parking lots were full of construction equipment and shingles and plywood. The pool was not it working order and was closed. The maids were not very accommodating as we had a late checkout but they proceeded to bang on every single door […] down the hallway around 10:45 before checkout (we had a 12:00 checkout). I was very disappointed with our stay and was expecting a lot more as the hotel looked very nice on the website. Devamı
